Leer (Japanese: にらみつける Glare) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Leer decreases the target's Defense stat by one stage. Leer will do nothing if the target's Defense has reached a stage of -6 or a value of one, and will fail if the target has a Substitute or is under the effect of Mist. The effect of Leer is ignored by critical hits.
