Sandra (Japanese: ホシカ Hoshika) is a recurring character from the anime. She lives with her mother, Savannah, in Rubello Town.
History
As she was out with Ash and his friends in A Fan with a Plan, Savannah was surprised to see her young daughter doing the shopping, though appreciated the gesture. The following day, while May and Savannah were practicing for the Rubello Town Contest, the boys met Sandra while she was out grocery shopping again. They later returned to the Pokémon Center, where May alerted Sandra and the boys to Team Rocket who had just stolen her and Savannah's Ribbons. Sandra sprung into action, narrowly escaping a hit from Dustox's Psybeam. Together she and her mom ordered Lairon to send Team Rocket blasting off with a Water Pulse.
In Cruisin' for a Losin' , Sandra watched from the crowd as her mom competed in the Rubello Contest. She was particularly proud to see her mom used their practiced combinations to advance into the finals. Although Savannah failed to win the Rubello Contest, Sandra remained proud of her mother.
Sandra and her mom made a cameo appearance as they watched Hoenn Grand Festival in Deceit and Assist.
Character
Because her mom is so busy with being a mother, her duties with the Mothers for Pokémon club and participating in Contests, Sandra often helps her out by buying groceries and doing chores. She also assists her mom with her Contest strategies. During Savannah's battle with May, it was Sandra's idea to have her mother's Lairon use an Electric move while May's Bulbasaur used Vine Whip, thereby paralyzing it. Sandra is very proud of her mother for winning a Contest Ribbon, though she doesn't share her mother's same enthusiasm for battling.

Trivia
- Sandra's Japanese name contains ホシ (hoshi), corresponding for 星 (star) while her mother's name contains ツキ (tsuki), corresponding for 月 (moon). In addition to this, she wears a star hair barrette while her mother wears crescent moon earrings.
