Learnset
Draco Meteor can only be tutored to Template:Type2 Pokémon. In the Sinnoh region, the tutor (grandma Wilma) can be found on Route 210 in her house, and in Johto, the tutor is in Blackthorn City. In the Unova region, the Opelucid City's Gym Leader, Iris in Black or Drayden in White will teach this move instead, with the same requirements.
Similar to Blast Burn, Frenzy Plant, and Hydro Cannon, the Pokémon that the move is to be taught to must have its happiness rating maximized.

Druddigon holds one arm in front of it and stretches its other arm over the arm outwards. Then, an orange orb of energy appears in the center of Druddigon's stomach and its body becomes surrounded in a faint orange aura. Druddigon then opens its mouth and a bright orange energy orb appears inside of it. Druddigon then closes its mouth over the orb, and fires it straight into the sky. The orb then explodes above it, releasing a ring of orange energy as it does. Multiple smaller orange orbs of energy then explode from the smaller orb and rain down over the battlefield. As the orbs fall, they leave behind trails of darker orange energy.

Trivia
- Since this move can only be taught to Dragon-type Pokémon, this means that Pokémon like Charizard and Gyarados, despite their dragon-like characteristics, cannot be taught the move. Even Horsea, Seadra, Swablu, and Trapinch cannot learn the move, despite being related by evolution to Dragon-type Pokémon, and must evolve into their Dragon-type form to learn the move.
- There are only three non-Dragon-type Pokémon able to have Draco Meteor legitimately. One of them is Smeargle, which can obtain it with Sketch. The others are Jirachi, which can have it through an event, and Arceus, which can be tutored the move as a Dragon-type when holding the Draco Plate, but retains it when the Plate is removed.
- Mew, though repeatedly said on the Pokédex to be able to learn any move, is not able to learn Draco Meteor because it can only be taught to Template:Type2 Pokémon.
- Because of this, all Pokémon who can learn Draco Meteor by move tutor receive STAB (except Arceus when the Draco Plate is removed).
