Psycho Boost (Japanese: サイコブースト Psycho Boost) is a damage-dealing Psychic-type move introduced in Generation III. It is the signature move of Deoxys.
Effect
Psycho Boost inflicts damage and lowers the user's Special Attack stat by two stages.
Psycho Boost can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 6 bonus appeal points if Calm Mind was used in the previous turn.
Generation VIII
Pokémon Sword and Shield
Psycho Boost cannot be selected in a battle.
Generation IX
In Versions 1.0 to 2.0.2 of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Psycho Boost could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 3.0.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.

Trivia
- Psycho Boost has the same description texts as Overheat.
- This move is the last Generation III move in index number order.
- Unlike other similar moves, the power of Psycho Boost was not lowered to 130 in Generation VI.
- As Deoxys is unobtainable in Pokémon Sword and Shield, the only Pokémon that can legally know the move in those games is a purified Lugia transferred from Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.
- However, the move cannot be selected in battle, making the move unusable in Generation VIII until the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, where the only Pokémon that can legally know the move is Deoxys as a result of movesets being altered in Pokémon HOME.
- A Shattered Psyche based on Psycho Boost or Prismatic Laser has the highest base power of all Psychic-type moves.
