Route 2 (Japanese: ２番道路 Route 2) is a route in southern Kalos, connecting Aquacorde Town and Santalune Forest. The route is also known as Avance Trail (Japanese: アバンセ通り Avance Trail). The first encounter on this route (and the first wild encounter of the game) is always Pidgey, he'll be found in the middle row of the grass, so you can't avoid him. The stats of that Pidgey are slightly higher than normal, making him a pretty nice Pokémon to catch.
