Corrosive Gas (Japanese: ふしょくガス Corrosive Gas) is a non-damaging Poison-type move introduced in Generation VIII.
Effect
Corrosive Gas renders the target's held item unusable for the rest of the battle (even if switched out). The Pokémon is still listed as holding the item on the status screen and cannot obtain another item, nor can it restore the item with Recycle or with the Ability Harvest.
Corrosive Gas cannot melt an item from Pokémon with the Sticky Hold Ability, or if it hits a Pokémon's substitute. It also cannot melt a Blue Orb, Red Orb, Griseous Orb, Plate, Drive, Memory, Rusted Sword, or Rusted Shield held by Kyogre, Groudon, Arceus, Genesect, Silvally, Zacian, or Zamazenta respectively.
