Wigglytuff (Japanese: プクリン Pukurin) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It evolves from Jigglypuff via Moon Stone. It is Igglybuff's final form.
Biology
Physiology
Wigglytuff resembles a pink blob with a fluffy tuft of fur on its head and long rabbit-like ears and a white belly. It has large blue eyes and stubby arms and legs like its pre-evolution, Jigglypuff.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Wigglytuff are capable of inflating themselves to big sizes in order to scare off enemies. Wigglytuff can also sing soothing lullabies to make anyone fall asleep, but its reputation for doing so isn't as famous as its basic form, Jigglypuff. Like Clefable and its pre-evolutions, Wigglytuff is capable of wielding various elemental attacks.
Behavior
Despite its cute demeanor, Wigglytuff is sometimes known for being very aggressive and slapping anyone that gets on its nerves.
Habitat
Wigglyfuff can be found in vivid green plains and grassy fields. It shares its range with Jigglypuff.
Diet
- Main article: Pokémon food
Apparently, Wigglytuff love eating Perfect Apples, as shown in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. However, this could be just the specific Wigglytuff in the game and not any other Wigglytuff.

Major appearances
In Lights, Camera, Quacktion!, Cleavon Schpielbunk was going to have a Wigglytuff have the starring role in his movie, "Pokémon in Love", alongside Misty's Psyduck.
Harley used a Wigglytuff in the Kanto Grand Festival. Harley's Wigglytuff wears a rather sinister expression, possibly reflecting its trainer.
Guild Master Wigglytuff makes an appearance in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness special. He assigns a mission to save Shinx's brother to Team PokéPals. Wigglytuff also happens to be able to fall asleep with his eyes open.
Minor appearances
In Mewtwo Strikes Back, a Wigglytuff owned by Neesha was one of the Pokémon was captured and cloned by Mewtwo. The Wigglytuff clone was seen again in Mewtwo Returns.
A Wigglytuff is used in the Fallarbor Contest.

Trivia
Origin
Wigglytuff is probably a combination between a rabbit, a balloon and a plush doll.
Name origin
Wigglytuff's name is a combination of wiggly and tuff — wiggly refers to its wobbly shape, and tuff may refer to either its toughness or the tuft of hair on its head (Pokémon names can only be ten characters in length, and Wigglytough would be eleven). Its Japanese name may simply be a corruption of プリン purin, pudding. It may also be a combination of 風船 fūsen, balloon, and 膨れる fukureru, to expand or inflate.
In other languages
- German: Knuddeluff - From knuddeln (to cuddle) and fluff.
- French: Grodoudou - From gros (fat or large), and doudou, a word for a teddy or a doll that babies tend to use for comfort.
- Korean: 푸크린 Pukeurin
- Chinese: 胖可丁 (Pang Ke Ding) - Possibly a corrupted transliteration of its Japanese name, Pukurin. The character 胖 means fat, chubby.
- Chinese: 肥波球 (Fei Po Qiu) - 波球 is from Jigglypuff's Chinese name, 波波球, while 肥 means fat.
