Trivia
- Nincada is the only Pokémon that evolves into two Pokémon at once.
- Nincada is the only Pokémon with a gender that can learn TMs and HMs but cannot learn Attract or Captivate. This is possibly due to the fact that Shedinja, which is genderless, retains all moves that Nincada had before evolution.
- Nincada, Nidoran♂, Volbeat, and Phione are the only Pokémon obtainable by breeding a Pokémon they cannot evolve into (as Shedinja is technically a shed shell).
- Nincada is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 266.
- Nincada is the only Pokémon to have a higher base stat total than its evolution, it has 30 more base stat points than Shedinja.
