Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same egg group combination as Crustle and its pre-evolution.
- Like several other Pokémon, Crustle learns only Physical and Status moves by level up and breeding.
Origin
Crustle is based on a hermit crab. Its shell resembles a block of stratum than an actual shell, though the design also seems to resemble ornately-colored hermit crab shells.
Name origin
Crustle is likely some sort of combination of crust, crumble, rustle, and/or castle. Crustle may also come from crustacean, which is what it appears to be. Iwaparesu may come from 岩 Iwa, rock and パレス paresu, palace, or プレス, press.
