Rapid Spin (Japanese: こうそくスピン Rapid Spin) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation II.
Effect
Rapid Spin inflicts damage and removes the effects of any moves that partially trap, as well as entry hazards, from the user and allies. The following moves are affected by Rapid Spin:
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
Rapid Spin can remove Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rock trap on the floor. In addition, Rapid Spin also removes these effects from the user.

In other generations
Trivia
- Rapid Spin was one of the first Generation II moves introduced and named. It was seen being used by Mewtwo's Blastoise in Mewtwo Strikes Back, prior to the release of Gold and Silver.
- Spinda is the only Normal-type Pokémon to learn Rapid Spin, and thus is the only one to receive STAB for it.
- No Generation IV Pokémon can learn this move.
