Flare Blitz (Japanese: フレアドライブ Flare Drive) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Flare Blitz will thaw out the user if it is frozen, and then inflict damage on the target.
Flare Blitz will cause the user to receive recoil damage equal to ⅓ of the damage done to the target. This move has a 10% chance of burning the target.

Trivia
- Typhlosion is the only fully evolved Fire-type starter Pokémon that cannot learn Flare Blitz by level up.
- Larvesta is the only Pokémon who learns Flare Blitz by level-up which does not resist the Fire-type.
