Combusken (Japanese: ワカシャモ Wakasyamo) is a dual-type Fire/Fighting Pokémon.
It evolves from Torchic starting at level 16 and evolves into Blaziken starting at level 36.
Biology
Physiology
Combusken is a chicken-like Pokémon. It trains so that, when it evolves, it has all the power and strength it needs. Most of Combusken’s upper body is tan in coloration, and most of its lower body is orange. It has a feather crest on top of its head with three orange points and its eyes and beak are also orange. The feathers on its arm-like wings resemble a long-sleeved jacket, with three razor-sharp claws at the ends of its long arms. There are shaggy tan feathers on the top of Combusken’s thighs, and an orange-colored, pointed design adorns the center of its waist. It has bulging thighs that seem big compared to its body, and a small, pointed tail. Combusken's gray-colored legs are capable of unleashing a barrage of devastating kicks.
Gender differences
A female has a smaller feather crest.
Special abilities
Combusken is known as the Young Fowl Pokémon. One of their specialties is the move Double Kick.
Behavior
It is very noisy and can often be heard squawking. In battle, its sharp cries are said to be very distracting. It toughens up its legs by running through fields and mountains.
Habitat
Combusken are usually found in grasslands and plains. They are sometimes found in the hills or mountains, though.

Other

The Torchic evolved and had to be hidden. After the Combusken saved a Wailord, Nurse Joy decided to keep it as a guard for her Pokémon Center.

Sapphire's Torchic that she received from her father, Professor Birch, evolved into a Combusken before her challenge of Gym Leader Brawly, and won against his Hariyama even after her partner Rono had nearly collapsed. After undergoing much training and being used against fights against the likes of Team Aqua and in friendly bouts against Flannery, it evolved again to a Blaziken battling Winona, though it failed to win.
