Dive is a Water-type move introduced in Generation III that deals a small amount of damage.
Effect
In battle
Hides one turn to become completely invulnerable, then strikes the next turn.
Outside of battle
Allows players to go underwater in specific spots when they are Surfing. The only region these spots have been found so far is in Hoenn.

Generation IV
- Fewer Pokémon can learn Dive in Generation IV since Pokémon in Generation III can't have HM moves when transferred to Generation IV, in the Metagame this is considered to be a major hit to Ludicolo.
