Goh's Eternatus
Hey Force Fire. Can I get an update on User:Reinhartmax/Goh's Eternatus being mainspaced? Thanks.--Reinhartmax (talk) 15:04, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
Template edit request
Do you think the Battle Zone could deserve its own separate section on the {{Sinnoh}}
template, similar to how the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra have theirs on the {{Galar}}
template? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:12, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- I think the Battle Zone is more connected with the Sinnoh mainland than IoA and Crown Tundra, so they shouldn't be separated.--ForceFire 05:07, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
Shining Fates Page Creation
Hey there, Shining Fates (TCG) is pretty close to coming out and almost all, if not all, of the cards are confirmed now. I would do it myself, if I could, but I'm not there yet. Thanks! - unsigned comment from MasterEmerald (talk • contribs)
Vandal
It appears that the user Luigisam is a vandal. They vandalized the talk page for Hidden Land so badly that it won't even open in the editor due to the size of the file (over 3k kilobytes), and I receive an error whenever I try to revert their edit. - unsigned comment from SpinyShell (talk • contribs)
- Looks like it's been dealt with.--ForceFire 05:02, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Dynamicpokemaster (talk • contribs) made an inappropriate edit that I reversed. Probably counts them as a vandal. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:01, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
Chloe's Eevee
Given its role in JN049 and JN055, I was wondering if User:BigDocFan/Chloe's Eevee was notable enough to be mainspaced?--BigDocFan (talk) 08:48, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- I would think so, it has had a notable role in a couple of its episodes and is basically Chloe's signature.--ForceFire 16:41, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
I might have found a bug

explain yourself
Cher is a blatant reference to the American singer, in fact it is one of if not the most blatant reference Pokemon's dub has done. I know you live down under but surely the people down there know who Cher is. I'm in England and I know who she is, so "speculation" my foot. In other words, obvious reference is obvious. Not including it is actually quite dumb because of this fact. Aden Singh (talk) 13:38, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Don't believe me forcy? take a look at the episode Beauties Battling for Pride and Prestige, then take a look at any Cher interview or acting gig. You'll see the same thing I do. Not sure what's available on the Aussie Netflix or how you guys get Pokemon down there, but take a look and see for yourself. I know Cher because my mum (RIP) was a huge Cher fan. It's not just the name, it's the particular voice that Hillary Thomas gives her. So it isn't "speculation" as you so smartly put it, it's a blatant reference. The only thing that would be more blatant would be giving her the surname Bono or Sarkisian. Aden Singh (talk) 13:56, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

James Turner
Okay, I understand the Zigzagoon and Linoone placement, but shouldn't that mean Gigantimax Gengar should be moved as well? (BlazingTurtonator (talk) 18:42, 3 March 2021 (UTC))
- Moved Gengar. I feel that users reading that list might assume it's going by production/generation order rather than it simply being listed by dex number, hence why I undid your edit.--ForceFire 05:49, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
Chloe as a protagonist
I get what you mean that she's not been labeled a protagonist, but it's not like the show explicitly labels who's a main character and who isn't (aside from Ash of course). It usually depends on promotional trailers/marketing and appearances alongside Ash and Goh. Ever since Chloe caught Eevee, she's basically become a Trainer. Supporting anime characters would usually be a rival of one of the main characters, but recently Chloe has been accompanying Ash and Goh a LOT more than before, now that she has a Pokemon of her own. Crummymummy (talk) 17:05, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- The Japanese site. As you can see, Chloe is not listed under the main character section like Goh is.--ForceFire 05:49, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
Let's keep that in mind if and when it updates to feature Chloe. Crummymummy (talk) 17:17, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Post on the /r/Pokemon subreddit
Hey, so you recently banned a user, User:Aden Singh. Well, they created a thread on the /r/Pokemon subreddit here claiming that the ban was unjustified and trying to rally support. I thought you might like to know and maybe step in to explain what happened, since you're named by the OP. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 23:16, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Evolution Availability
It's basically confirmed that since the base form Pokémon are available in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl/Legends: Arceus, that their evolutions will be as well, so there's no need to undo it. Pre-release or not, it's common sense that the evolutions will be present in the game's code, unless it's a special case like Yellow Pikachu (meant to emulate the anime) and Let's Go Partner Pikachu and Partner Eevee (meant to emulate Yellow).
As far as I'm concerned, this is not the case for Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl/Legends: Arceus.
I've decided already not to do this for Pokemon that appeared already in the original Diamond and Pearl because the wild encounter ratios and pools can vary in remakes. Crummymummy (talk) 17:52, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- Pre-release info is still pre-release info, it does not go onto the pages until the games are released, regardless of common sense and they could still pull a "Yellow" for Legends.--ForceFire 05:46, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

- Which change was drastic to you? It all felt like cosmetics.--Rocket Grunt 18:47, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yes... you do know how this works. I've told you... many times before. Lots of times actually. If you plan making any changes to a templates layout, then that needs to be discussed. Don't just do as you please.
- The changes you made weren't as drastic as the changes you would usually do, but it still needs to be discussed. You added a completely new column and shifted around the champion cells. That still counts as a big change. What specifically needed to be changed? The template is fine as is, the column you added and the reshuffling of Champions wasn't necessary.--ForceFire 03:53, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- You're just nitpicking and making it more difficult because I have to go and ask another admin and they are always fine with it. Don't revert my edits just because "I have no permission", everyone can edit these pages and correct them. Every change doesn't have to be "neccesary" to you, it may be neccesery for someone else, do you even care about that?--Rocket Grunt 08:17, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- And to toss it right back at you, just because you think it's a needed change, doesn't mean everyone else thinks it is. That's why you need to discuss any major changes you have in mind. The only one making it difficult is yourself by refusing to get other opinions on major changes before acting out on it. You have a history of making these kind of large edits without a discussion. It doesn't matter if you don't think it's a major change, any changes to a template/article's layout needs to be discussed. It's that simple.--ForceFire 16:07, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

Hero duo: Potential mainspacing
Hello, I don't know who to talk to about this but I've been working on an article in my userspace that I intended to possibly mainspace: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:ScraftyIsTheBest/Hero_duo
And I think I've mostly completed it and if the staff think it's good for mainspacing, this might be ready for it. If nothing else, I'd like to see what other people among the staff think about this being mainspaced. If not, that's totally cool too, I'd just like to see if staff can have some input about this before I make any attempts to move it to the mainspace. Uploading a picture?
Hi! So, I was wondering how I can upload a picture onto Bulbapedia. I found a good picture of Sableye from the anime special "Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky - Beyond Time and Darkness" that I wanted to use on my User Page. Is there any way I could upload it onto Bulbapedia?
Gallade User 02:12, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- You must be autoconfirmed on the Archives. You can achieve so by editing file pages on the Archives a certain amount of time (it is kept secret). --Bfdifan2006something to say? 15:57, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- How can I do that? I'm still trying to figure all of this out. I also got a screenshot of my Leavanny using Leaf Storm in Pokémon GO against a Landorus because I noticed that Leaf Storm in GO needed a picture.

Absol's move
Goh's Absol most definitely used Razor Wind, even though it wasn't named. We saw the move's charging turn. I posted an image of it at the Bulbagarden Discord. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:28, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- It's a very generic charge that could apply to any move, even the ones that don't have a charge. Solar Beam's charge is at least unique to it.--ForceFire 04:40, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- Razor Wind has a unique charging turn too, which was depicted very clearly in this episode. It was Razor Wind, no doubt about it. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:57, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- It's Absol gathering air, how is that remotely unique? Solar Beam gathers sunlight, specifically. A move gathering air is too vague and could easily be for anything.--ForceFire 11:44, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- That's exactly what Razor Wind does: it first whips up a whirlwind around the user, and then the move is actually executed. None of the other moves with a similar animation, like Psycho Cut, have this characteristic. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:17, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- There have been other moves used in the anime where the user gathers air to attack. It's not unique to Razor Wind.--ForceFire 12:25, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- It's the same move that Drew's Absol did when it performed a Razor Wind. It's definitely Razor Wind. Perhaps, just a suggestion, it would no longer be useful to leave the text with the move invisible and (if) Goh use it in battle, make it visible again. Anything leaving a notice asking not to change. Or change the rule for only moves used in battle or commanded / named by someone. Sorry if I look nosy.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:49, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- The problem with above statement is that Air Slash's recent animation in the anime is very similar to what Drew's Absol uses as Razor Wind back in AG. The game animation doesn't entirely help in this case, as it is still a bit questionable to judge without the chance of an error given how similar the two moves look/has looked over the course of time in both media. It'd be safe to wait for a verbal command for this one. Adil — Talk page 15:39, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- While there may have been many attacks that gather air around the user, I don't recall any other move that combines that aspect with the wine blades we see here. Not even Air Slash. Also, Air Slash tends to have a blue coloration. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:58, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- While blue, I still don't think said moves are visually that distinct. It's also not exactly a signature move that can be easily assigned to a specific Pokémon or take game animation as a damning evidence to back it up. In addition, it hasn't been identified even once in the current series. Hence, we should wait. Adil — Talk page 01:21, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- Razor Wind is basically Absol's signature move in the anime, as in that Absol has used the move in the anime more than any other species. To me, that fact and the fact that this attack is white and not blue, in addition to the aforementioned charging turn (which, to me, is a dead giveaway to it being Razor Wind), are solid proofs of the move's identity. If it's confirmed as something else, couldn't it be changed then, instead of waiting for it to be confirmed as Razor Wind like I'm 100% sure it's going to be? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:06, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- I feel like we are running around in circles. You're missing the point. I don't deny that there are things that support the move being Razor Wind, but I disagree that they are strong enough to support the claim with 100% accuracy. Once again, it is not visually distinct enough to make a final decision without there being the chance of an error. I'd rather prefer us to wait than having to rectify it later. If it gets verbally confirmed, then good. Until then, we should wait. Adil — Talk page 16:28, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

In JN065, we saw a confirmed use of Psycho Cut, and the animation (one blade per slash vs multiple blades per slash) and coloration (purple vs white) of the move were notably different. Does this and the whirlwind around Absol while using the move count as enough evidence? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:20, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- No. Psycho Cut isn't the only move that would potentially have a similar animation to Razor Wind.--ForceFire 12:31, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- Like which moves? I keep telling you, the outlook of the move seems clear to me, it even has the whirlwind charge phase, and besides, it's all but Absol's signature move in the anime. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:57, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- Air Slash, Air Cutter, Cut, Slash, so on so forth. You can't just look at a move and think that it can only be one move only, you need to check other moves that could potentially have similar animations.--ForceFire 07:37, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Buttefree's gender
So I have problem with Goh's Buttefree, can we confirm it's male? Female Buttefree appeared in M20 (right before SM034) does that confirm any Buttefree since that time? --Rocket Grunt 22:25, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

User:Hikaru Wazana/Clair (anime)
Hi, since Clair was shown as an important part of Iris until now and she has more participation than any leader in the Johto region, does this page have the requirements to go to the mainspace? I mean, counting flashbacks she already has appearances in at least 10 episodes in several arcs of the anime.Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:10, 07 May 2021 (UTC)
- Taking advantage of this discussion, I think I talked to someone from the staff at the time, today they announced that that series of Pokétoon shorts will be bigger. Even the official page already has a video starring a Pancham(more comprehensive and with human characters), the other was that of Scraggy
- https://twitter.com/Pokemon_cojp/status/1391588833335119877
- I want to ask, will something exclusive be done for this series as it was with Twilight Wings and Generations?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 04:07, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- Not sure if Clair would be notable, she's only technically physically appeared in two series, the other appearances were small cameos. Try asking for second opinions.
- This was brought up by a staff members some time ago. But if it's going to be a series, I think it's worth drafting an article up (I believe someone already did in their userspace, but don't remember who).--ForceFire 07:04, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
You didn't explain
why didn't you explain the reason even the other person help out. Two people wrote it. Never having encountered an aggressive Dragonite before, Ash's Dragonite exhibited hesitancy as it decided to battle for Ash against the aggressive Dragonite belonging to Iris.--Gian9456 12:48, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Question about Lance (anime)
What is the general consensus on Lance's current status in the anime (a Champion or former Champion)?
According to FinnishPokéFan92, Lance lost his Champion title, but outside of Lance being referred to as an Elite Four member in JN012 (which I don't feel is sufficient enough evidence), there doesn't seem to be anything that definitively states that Lance is a former Champion. After looking into edit history on various pages, Finnish seems to be the primary advocate for this as well.
While I adjusted the trivia on JN012's page as a compromise, I would like to know how staff feels about it. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 06:10, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello. I see you removed the grid I made yesterday. Could you give a reason why? I made it using better CSS displays to be adaptable to each screen size (especially the mobile website). — Lakelimbo (talk) 20:01, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- We don't make tables using <div> templates, it's not how we do things. I get that it's meant to make the table look better on mobile, but changing the coding for the entire table is not something that you can just do.--ForceFire 05:02, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Kelly Davis
I have not seen this actress' name in any of the credits in The Legend of Thunder. I did see Caren Lyn Manuel, and there are no other characters who sound like Stella from Winx Club. That's why I put down Manuel as the voice of Marina. Smartorama (talk) 23:55, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, but just because Davis wasn't in the credits does not mean you should just go by the credits and put someone else who was in the credits there. That's not how it works. The only legitimate source is to ask the voice actors themselves on social media. Not credit. Not playing by ear.--ForceFire 05:36, 27 May 2021 (UTC)

Ash's Lycanroc

- Yeah, no. That's not how it's done. Just because there are contradicting articles, doesn't mean you can just change one of them to suit your liking. And no, you may not revert me without a response as you will be reverted immediate and may be blocked because you are already on thin ice about just reverting edits without discussion. I know exactly what I'm doing, and I'm following our policy, which you clearly do not like.--ForceFire 16:52, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- What I like is having policy and keeping consitency between pages what you are too sloppy for and always just revert my edits instead of fixing the whole problem. Finally you did, thank you. Don't worry, I'll make Misty's Psyduck, Ash's Greninja and Brock's Steelix consistent now.--Rocket Grunt 16:58, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
Gust picture debate
BigDocFan, Finnish, and I have been trying to update the Pidgeotto picture to Journeys, but Pikablu insists otherwise and has continually reverted those edits. So far, my talk page discussion with Pikablu has gone in circles with no real consensus. Their argument seems to be that the older picture features Pidgeotto using Gust back when it was a Normal-type move and that it is more important than using an updated picture. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 17:20, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- Despite us not reaching a consensus, they have decided to go on and edit more move pages for similar reasons. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 20:12, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- The problem I see about the anime move images is, the boss can only contain 4 images maximum, so with 7 series at present, three of them miss out and I feel more recent images are better than old ones.--BigDocFan (talk) 20:20, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- I personally agree with that the newer image should be used. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:45, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- I am also in favor of using the newer image. To be more accurate, I haven't reached a consensus with Pikablu specifically (as they will undoubtedly try to revert any attempts at changing it back). PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 20:50, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

I think we should be using a mix of old and new, to show how the move looked 10-15 years ago, even if some have used the same animation over time. Though Pikablu's reasoning of "showing it as its original type" doesn't hold water, as you have said, since you can't really tell a move was another type by just looking at it. It may be a good idea to make a sort of rule, because right now, it really feels like anything goes.--ForceFire 07:11, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Lavender/Shion Town Romaji
Hello. I noticed that on the Lavender Town article, Lavender Town's Japanese name has inconsistent transliterations. It is transliterated as "Cion" two times and as "Sion" once. Isn't シオン supposed to be transliterated as "Shion"? I've only seen it be read as "Shion" and the kana シ is always transliterated as "Shi", so I thought "Shion" is the correct way to transliterate it. Regardless of how it's supposed to be transliterated, it should at least be consistent throughout the article. --Dark Nymphia (talk) 02:09, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- Cion is the official trademark romanisation. According to a user, "Cion" was used in the original Pinball game.--ForceFire 05:13, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
Brock's Crobat
In the episode "EP165:Hassle in the Castle" Brock imagines his Zubat dressed in tuxedo and Dr. Anna's Zubat was in a wedding dress. That should confirm it's male, it's similar situation as in the episode "XY105:Party Dancecapades!".--Rocket Grunt 17:22, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- No, it doesn't. The latter at least noted that males had to dance with the females, with the accessories helping distinguish them. The fantasy doesn't explicitly state their genders.--ForceFire 17:41, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- I know Bulbapedia doesn't accept that, but most people do. By writing "implies" in the trivia section we won't be stating any definite answer, just that it's relevant for people for whom that's enough.--Rocket Grunt 23:29, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- People can come to that conclusion on their own without us having to state it.--ForceFire 05:54, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- If they watch the episode and remember such tiny details. Ash's Bulbasaur page does the same thing, implies gender without saying it's definite.--Rocket Grunt 14:23, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- Because the implication was stated, in one form or another. The implication isn't stated here, it's a visual image of which it wasn't noted whether it was suppose to mean what it was suppose to mean. Again, people can come up with their own, very obvious, conclusion, but it's not getting added because it's still speculation.--ForceFire 15:30, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Notable trivia
Can you tell "FinnishPokéFan92" that "being first <character>'s Pokemon of <type> type" is not notable? Literally each character could've 18 such pieces of trivia.--Rocket Grunt 14:49, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
Zangoose
It's not "sprite trivia". It says that colors of the claws don't match with scars as it is expected.--Rocket Grunt 10:39, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
- The claws have always been black, not red. It was only red in the early sprites, thus it's sprite trivia. And why would it match with the scars "as expected"? that makes it fan opinions, which also makes it not notable.--ForceFire 11:42, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
Marowak Trivia
Hi there. I noticed that you reversed my Marowak trivia on the gen 5 sprite due to lack of notability. Sorry if I begin to sound quite rude but may I please ask why this isn't notable? It's an odd quirk in the back sprite that hasn't occurred in any or Marowak's past or future appearances and I would like to know why you think it shouldn't get mentioned. Thanks Ice Cream 20:44, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Sprite trivia in general isn't notable, since the spritebox is directly above the trivia sections, so users can see it for themselves. There is a userpage for sprite errors, though.--ForceFire 07:11, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

Policy question
If a voice director's word on who voices a character contradicts what a voice actor says, then whose word should take precendent? I can think of two examples from XY alone where this has happened.
The page for Ornithol currently says that Wayne Grayson voiced the character, and this information apparently came straight from the voice director at the time. However, Mike Pollock has claimed that he himself voiced the character, and that the information on Bulbapedia is inaccurate.
Secondly, the cast list BigDocFan received from the voice director listed Eddy Lee along with Pay Pental as voicing Jan (XYS05), however, when I tried to add the former to the character's page, I was informed that Eddy Lee himself had denied voicing Jan on Twitter. Recurring Cresselia
In JN075, when seeing Cresselia, Dawn says, "I've met her before." Do you think this could be taken as a sign that this Cresselia is the same one that we saw back in DP104? Dawn even had a flashback to that episode when saying that. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:34, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- Saying it's the same one is speculation, she could just be speaking in general, as in she's met a Cresselia before (not necessarily a specific Cresselia).--ForceFire 05:47, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- I'm confused. You reversed your own reversion about Cresselia on JN075, and when I started making reversions to match that, you reversed them too. Why? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:11, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- Or was the reversion about something else in the article? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:12, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- The Cresselia in the flashback was the same Cresselia in the episode, it was not the same Cresselia in DP104.--ForceFire 13:19, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- Um... Yes it was. It was a flashback to that episode. It's the only time Dawn has met a Cresselia before. Plus, I'm pretty sure that Cresselia's altar from DP104 was shown in the flashback, confirming that it was from that episode. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:32, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- Seems I remembered the second flashback/dream sequence more than the split second flashback at the start. But still, no it wasn't. That scene never happens in DP104, so it's not a flashback from that episode, the absence of Ash and Brock also means it's not a flashback from that episode. And the altar being there doesn't mean anything, it's meant to be there if it's Cresselia's home.--ForceFire 15:04, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

On Cyrus' Crobat
I looked at the speculation article, and it said inferences could be made, but should disclaim uncertainty. Would the trivia point be valid if uncertainty is disclaimed? I don't care too much if the tidbit is on there or not, but I'm brand new to editing, so I think this might help me understand this sort of thing better. General Kipicus (talk) 19:13, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

Okay. I get ya. I seriously want to thank you for the timely reversions on my edits, it's really helped me get a much better grasp on the boundaries on a lot of this stuff. Steven
I saw you reverted the edit, despite I opened a discussion because I could not find literally ANY source that state Steven is a specialist, and hoped at least to start the discussion about it, because, I literally couldn't find anything that state Steven is a Steel specialist at all, the only thing that I founded is him stating his favourite type is Steel, but that don't mean he is a specialist, even because he have more no-Steel then Steel. So... unless there is a source that I could not find... I don't see why he should be considered a specialist at all.--Zarxiel94 (talk) 17:05, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- He uses them, they're stated to be his type of preferred pokemon in his Trainer's Eyes info (which you're selectively ignoring in favor of the ORAS label), and they're his favorite. Ergo he is a specialist. Almost all Champions use a variety regardless if they're a specialist or not (Wallace being the only exception; even Iris added some variety to her dragons), so yeah, he uses plenty of non-Steel types. You're overthinking this. Kai * the Arc Toraph 12:13, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, didn't saw the answer sorry. Btw, the statment is not correct. Lance and Iris are actually stated to be Dragon specialist, and Lance got a full Dragon teams in generations with a larger Dragon pool, but yhea... I completly forgot about the Trainer's Eyes. My bad, that seems actually a confirmation to him being a specialist--Zarxiel94 (talk) 17:17, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

Unique animation
Just because a move is not listed on the page of unique anime move animations doesn't mean that it's not identifiable based on move animations from the same series. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:55, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
- Just because it has a similar animation to a previously used move, doesn't mean it's the same move. The animators could easily decide to have one animation for multiple moves.--ForceFire 10:29, 11 September 2021 (UTC)

Z-Move and Max Move lists
I'd like to change the lists of Z-Moves and Max Moves a Pokémon has used (like this one) to resemble the regular move templates. I can understand the template style used in them being used for improvised moves, but for Z-Moves and Max Moves, I feel having the description on the Pokémon's page is pointless, as it's the move article's job to house the description. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:47, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Bea (anime)
Hi, this would probably be something to ask after the double episode of the battle against Bea, but anyway... I was wondering what the chances of this page here going to mainspace. I tried to put a lot of information about the character that isn't on the main page(fighting style, her Pokémon, her personality, more information about her manga counterpart) and since she's one of the main rivals of the Journeys it's kind of a real pity she doesn't have a page of her own. Now with the next two episodes, this page will even be able to receive a lot of information too. I've even tried to avoid writing errors and try to revise the article whenever I can. What do you think?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:00, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- I would say not yet. She's only made two physical appearances and both of them were for battles. She might make more appearances in the future, specifically ones that are not battle specific, so might need to wait a little longer.--ForceFire 14:48, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- I think Bea's participation in the anime ended today. But I'll keep this page updated when the names of the episodes in the dub come out. I have concerns regarding the rules in this Bulbapedia community and generic questions about the wikipedia.
Hello there I am kinda new to the Bulbapedia community maintained Wikipedia and don't know much about it. I have few concerns which relates to the following questions 1. What is the purpose of the talk page? how does it function? why there are some special rules which needs to be followed? and what are some of those rules? 2. After how many edits can an user create their own userspace? Why there is only maximum of 3 edits to the userpage per day? why not a different number (let's say 1 or even 10)? 3. What are the special rules of this community poke-wiki which makes it waaay more different than other pokemon fandom wiki's ? 4. Why doesn't the edits reflect in the real page when logged out after an user edits in when logged in? What is you explanation about it? why it is like that? MG7134 (talk) 05:47, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- Talk pages are generally used for suggesting improvements and ideas to help grow Bulbapedia. It functions just as a talk page on Wikipedia would. For a full list of rules see the Talk page policy.
- The number of edits is secret, and will remain secret. We do not just say the amount as to not have users just make the required amount and then solely focus on their userpage. The reason for the limit dates back to the early days of Bulbapedia when users would edit their userpages too much (I'm guilty of doing this in the past), thus necessitating the need for a limit so users can go back to expanding Bulbapedia.
- Not sure what "special rules" you are looking for, we do have a bunch of policies that you could check out if you want to know the rules.
- That I might need to bring up to the Tech, but it might just be a caching thing. Try clearing your cache if your edit doesn't appear to show. Edit: I've asked and another senior staff said it's a cloudflare thing, but you can clear your cache to see the more recent version of an article.--ForceFire 06:26, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

- It's just easier to keep track if users follow the one timezone rather than their own timezones. I suggest keeping the default time in your preferences, if you have it set up to be different, so you know if your within the daily limit.--ForceFire 14:37, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

Abcboy's {{form}}
template, which was main spaced not too long ago, should be put in use. Can BulbaBot be put to work to edit the "DL" template links to "List of Pokémon with form differences"? Also, Team Rocket Grunt just created a template that's identical to the previously main spaced template. I think TRG's template is unnecessary due to Abcboy's template already existing. FinnishPokéFan92
On the Bulbapedia homepage, it says: "Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia about Pokémon to which anyone can contribute." Very well.
A few months ago the user in question complained about my attempt to organize Chloe's page (among other things, but beside the point), it created so much case that I ended up removing all the initial draft. It's been 3 MONTHS and he hasn't done absolutely anything on the page, and as no one else has volunteered to try to put content there, the page is almost two years out of date (this is for a character who appears frequently in the anime).
In the Pokémon Evolutions announcement it was announced that Barry would have a focus, and as such it was shown that his starter in that canon is Empoleon. At about the same time I did all the organization of the sections, I looked for photos and tried to organize the page for new information that would appear. After all, we're talking about a Pokémon that hasn't been shown in the main anime for almost 10 years.
Nobody made any changes to it, today with the showing of the episode, I removed the hiding of the content already organized (and even the admin Chosen, added an extra section and a tag to put more information). This time he claimed that supposedly, such material is more related to games than anime.
The user in question has once again removed EVERYTHING I PUT. Even though I didn't put any written words in the article, I just realigned images. Anyway, I wanted to know what their authority to remove information like that, since we have articles that consider GOTCHA! as anime content, situations where Pokémon that appeared in similar media are put together , the character is named Barry in the episode and is all content from Evolutions, Twilight Wings, Generations or Origins under Project Anime jurisdiction?
I've already realized that his problem is with me and not with what I do, although I think it's weird all over someone who probably lives on the other side of the world. I wanted to know how much of this "anyone can contribute" thing is valid, because it sucks to have to go through validation from someone who isn't even part of the staff. Last time I was really interested in not posting here anymore, I continued because some people encouraged me to continue. Since then I have avoided making long writings, proofreading three or four times, trying to work more with images and apparently not even that is enough.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 18:01, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
Meltan and Melmetal sprites
just wondering why the change was reverted on the Meltan and Melmetal pages since these pokemon don't exist in SMUSUM. --yapby 08:15, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
On Volcanic Ash
Why was the number of ash tiles unimportant? I don't completely doubt your judgement here, you are very experienced here. However, you always write "not important" for the reason of reverting edits. It's extremely vague, making it absolutely unhelpful to people trying to learn what belongs and what doesn't. General Kipicus (talk) 11:49, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
- How is it helpful, who would it be helpful for? The number of tiles is not as important as the amount of ash needed for an item, and the latter doesn't need the specification as leaving and entering Route 113 will reset the ash count, rendering that information redundant.--ForceFire 12:06, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
I personally would've found it helpful. I get an idea of how much ash I'm collecting because it takes forever to get some of those items. With that information, it's no longer pure guesswork whether I have enough or not. I don't have to keep checking with the guy. I guess it's just me, then. Devolutions
Me and Reinhartmax are in a disagreement regarding how the devolutions in JN090 should be presented. Rein wants to add the pre-evolutions and Eggs into the Pokémon articles as owned Pokémon and the "Anime Pokémon hatched from Eggs" category, since the main characters technically owned those stages while the Pokémon devolved. I respectfully disagree, as it may give a false image to what stage the Pokémon was actually obtained in. We've discussed the topic on Reinhartmax's talk page. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:40, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
- Specifically here. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:26, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- I have asked but it didn't really spark a conversation. Basically, if the Pokemon was caught in its devolved formed and evolved, then it should be noted. If not, then it shouldn't be noted.--ForceFire 13:29, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- So, for example, on Ash's page, it shouldn't say his Dragonite hatched from an Egg; on Goh's page, it shouldn't say his Flygon hatched from an Egg; and those two Pokémon's individual articles shouldn't say that either? Did I understand this correctly? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:41, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yes.--ForceFire 13:45, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:45, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Do the devolved forms that existed before the Pokémon debuted need the redirect pages they've been given or not? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:04, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:45, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

I'm a little confused on this. While I think it is fine to not list the information on templates, they were still shown to be owned. Ash could be seen recalling Haunter and Dragonair to Poke Balls, showing he without a doubt owned them in those stages. Why are we removing valid information about that?Rahl (talk) 14:13, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- He was able to recall them because they were his Pokemon, but it still doesn't mean he obtained them at those forms, which is what the infobox would imply.--ForceFire 14:18, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Should the images of the devolutions and Eggs still be retained on the articles of the individual Pokémon? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:22, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- That's fine, what I don't understand is why Finnish is removing all information about it, like pictures of the forms and eggs. And shouldn't redirects exist for these, since Ash did own a Dratini? Removing those things is as if we are trying to ignore that this happened. Rahl (talk) 14:23, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Should the images of the devolutions and Eggs still be retained on the articles of the individual Pokémon? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:22, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
A bit confused about this. Why is having a link to the pages in Related Articles wrong? They were in that form and if we can have a link for something like Clemont's Heliolisk on Helioptile's page (for only being mentioned to be a Helioptile) why can't we have that for Jessie's Wobbufett on the Wynaut page when it was a Wynaut for a time?--Reinhartmax (talk) 15:15, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Because he actually had it as a Helioptile, even if it was only mentioned. The devolutions don't count because they never had those forms (mentioned or otherwise) nor were those Pokemon shown in those forms prior to JN090.--ForceFire 15:23, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- What about things like Ash's Primeape, where he didn't own it as a Mankey?--Reinhartmax (talk) 15:26, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- I thought the Related Articles section was to direct users to examples of the species? Jessie's Wobbuffet was a Wynaut, so why shouldn't it direct you to the page?--Rahl (talk) 15:38, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Primeape was shown as a Mankey prior to its capture, the Pokemon affected by devolution weren't seen in their pre-evolved forms at the time of their capture, save for Dragonair.--ForceFire 15:55, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- But shouldn't that still count enough to get the Related Articles link, not to Ash's Dratini but to Ash's Dragonite?--Reinhartmax (talk) 16:06, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Dragonite was never shown as a Dratini, only as a Dragonair prior to its capture.--ForceFire 16:09, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- But what does that have to do with it? We've seen Ash's Dragonite as a Dratini now. Dratini is on the Ash's Dragonite page. Why should it not be included in the related articles section when something like Clemont's Helioptile is good enough for just being mentioned? This has nothing to do with ownership. It is linking a page with Dratini on the Dratini page. By that logic we shouldn't list Pichu to Ash's Pikachu's page because he didn't show up as a Pichu prior to capture.--Rahl (talk) 16:23, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Because it implies that Ash had it as a Dratini/that is was shown as a Dratini before it was caught. Pichu is fine because it was actually shown as a Pichu. They only had Dragonair devolve into Dratini because that's just how the evolution line goes, and they weren't going to have it go straight into an Egg and confuse their target audience.--ForceFire 07:10, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

- Okay? It was still a Dratini though. Putting a link to 'Ash's Dragonite' on the related articles of Dratini still makes sense because that specific Dragonite was shown as a Dratini. I don't see why you're so hung up on the ownership part, especially when examples like Mankey, Sandile, and Pichu exist. Again, Pichu was shown after the capture. And, as you said, it was shown as a Pichu. Same with Dratini and Gastly. That's why the link is valid.Rahl (talk) 11:25, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Really hypocritical of you to remove true information but not have a discussion on why you believe you’re right. Gengar showed up as a Haunter. It’s a fact. It is something you can see on Gengar’s page and the episode. Gengar’s page has information about it as a Haunter. Why can’t the Haunter article have a related link to a page about a Haunter? Your argument makes no sense based on anything else on bulbapedia. Don’t dictate. Explain and discussPikablu (talk) 20:24, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- I've already explained it many times in this talk page section and in my edit summary why it doesn't count. It's only in Ash's Gengar's page because it's noting the history of the individual throughout the series, it does not mean we're counting it as actually having been a Haunter/Gastly in its debut appearance. The only reason it was shown as a Haunter and Gastly in JN090 was purely plot related and out of necessity, because they weren't going to have Gengar devolve straight into an Egg and confuse the kids as to why Gengar went straight to an Egg and not through its evolutionary line. But that's apparently something you, Rahl, and Reinhartmax will never understand.--ForceFire 04:51, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- It is listed as a Haunter on Gengar’s page. It is listed as a Haunter on JN090. It is listed as appearing as a Haunter in the appearances section on Haunter’s page. It obviously existed as a Haunter predebut and in JN090 we saw it AS A HAUNTER. What can’t you understand about that? Why is Dialga reversing time make it not count? I’m not arguing with you if Ash owned a Haunter (he did) I’m arguing that a link to Gengar’s page-which features information about a Haunter-should be included. If we’re not counting predebut then why is there a link on Pichu to Ash’s Pikachu? Maybe because we saw it as a Pichu? Either appearances count or they dont. Have consistency and pick one. Reversing time should not magically mean it didn’t appear onscreen. Heck, we ever count ones that didn’t-Clemont’s Helioptile. Your logic doesn’t apply to adding a redirect. Put simply:it showed up as a Haunter in an episode. There should be a redirect on Haunters page to Ash’s Gengar. If not, we should be removing other redirects to fit your perfect ideal because I’m tired of the inconsistency only be pushed by you. Merry Christmas.--Pikablu (talk) 13:07, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- Pikachu and Heliolisk were actually seen (Pichu)/stated (Heliolisk) to be in their pre-evolved forms prior to their capture. Gengar only devolved into a Haunter and a Gastly because the plot called for it (because the writers weren't going to devolve Gengar straight into an Egg), not because we saw it once as those Pokemon in a flashback or it was said in a passing mention.--ForceFire 13:30, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

Stat Trainer location articles
Hey! I'm guessing that you were referring to my edits in your descriptions of your recent edits to Iron Island, Victory Road and Stark Mountain. I just thought that I'd let you know that I didn't make the edits that you did because:
- I was busy irl. There's an awful lot going on!
- I've not played BDSP yet, so I wasn't entirely sure what exactly to add.
Hopefully, that clears things up. Incidentally, I don't suppose that you know of any way to link to a specific revision (or edit) of a MediaWiki article (wiki-wise)? Pale Prism (talk) 03:33, 12 December 2021 (UTC)

Hey you know you’re in the wrong, right? Check any other page and you’ll see them on the template.--Pikablu (talk) 13:33, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

so it seems out of me trying to remove the word sociopath, both of the reverts have been from you. is there a reason for this? i literally gave the reason in that hunter j edit right there changing it back does nothing except bring back the ableism. Snow rat (talk) 10:47, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- You're not the first user to try to remove certain words because of its apparent negative connotations. Users in the past have made edits not liking us using words like "cruel", which is ridiculous. So I lumped all your edits into that same category of being unnecessary.--ForceFire 11:55, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
i do not believe that comparing my edits to edits such as objections to the word cruel is a good analogy of my issue with the pages. as i said, the usage of sociopath here is VERY ableist and demonizing of people with the disorders the word is supposed to describe. a better comparison, although probably still not perfect, would be if someone used the word "autistic" to describe something dumb, which i think we can all agree is bad. i do not think it is unreasonable to ask that this term be removed from pages, as it is specifically offensive and bigoted where words like "cruel" are not. Goh’s Aerodactyl
Hi, according to Notability requirements, Goh's Aerodactyl is worthy of having its own page. Could this User:BigDocFan/Goh's_Aerodactyl be mainspaced?--Pikablu (talk) 17:54, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

Achievements by specific Pokémon.
Hi, I have organized some templates with some things that I found interesting to work on.
Basically, it would separate the achievements that each Pokémon received, and in some cases with images of the moment that specif Pokémon achieved the feat (as I did in the Scyther or Arcanine template).
My suggestion would be to fit these templates as they are here on this page I've been working on.
I think this would end up being interesting because some small championships, we don't have information in the main article, like Grookey's article which only has basic information. It still needs some more work and some possible suggestions or more development, but I was wondering if this is something that makes sense to be worked on or is it an idea that should be abandoned?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 22:09, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think it's worth creating a template for relatively minor tournaments; not everything needs to be a template. Taking your Boldore example, what information would be missing if it were in text form? Because everything in that template could easily be put in one paragraph. We have articles on these small tournament if someone wants to learn more about them.--ForceFire 05:59, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
Bolding “Character’s Pokémon”
Hi Force Fire, can you explain why you removed the bolding around “Dawn’s Swinub” and “Other” on the Swinub page? The same bolding has been present on the Piloswine and Mamoswine pages, and it hasn’t been removed. Thanks! Mooites (talk) 08:13, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- It doesn't need the apostrophes to have it bolded, the header levels already bold the text. Both Piloswine and Mamoswine don't have the apostrophes in their header section.--ForceFire 08:32, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
Oh weird, I’m on mobile, and without the apostrophes that header level isn’t displaying as bolded! And it only happens on certain Pokemon’s pages, Swinub being one of them. It must just be a problem with my mobile device. I’m glad it displays correctly on desktops :) Thanks Mooites (talk) 09:14, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
Block over devolutions
I'm sorry, you blocked me because of another users edits? The last time I did anything about this disagreement was over a week ago when I left a comment on your talk page, which you ignored, but I left it at that. I disagree with your stance but I'm not about to edit war. Blocking me is an incredibly rude and unfair thing to do and I hope you consider undoing it. I'm not going to be adding that unless it is approved.--Rahl (talk) 12:12, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- I did as a precaution, because I know that when one gets knocked down the other two will come running. Which makes it really hard to believe that the three of you are actually three individuals, as I've never seen the three of you actually disagree on something.--ForceFire 12:37, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- I mean, I like Reinhartmax on this site and we help each other out on user pages but we are not the same person. I don't pay attention to Pikablu for the most part but I know I've disagreed with them before. Either way, it is unfair to ban me for something a different user did and something I have not been arguing against since it turned into a discussion. I'm not going to come to Pikablu's aid and I'd like the ban to be removed. Thanks.--Rahl (talk) 15:04, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
Comprehensive list of still obtainable Mythical Pokemon
My list of obtainable Mythical Pokemon was removed because it's "unnecessary and info in the individual articles". I disagree with this sentiment as having all the information in one place would be much easier, more convenient, and more concise for readers. Also, much of the information I mentioned within my edit was not information already available on this wiki already, let alone the page it was on. I can understand if it would go at the bottom of the trivia or something, but I would just like to see if it can be re-added or moved somewhere else on the wiki. It's a tool I wish I had when I started Mythical hunting recently after getting back into Pokemon again for the first time in a while. FenomOO (talk) 23:53, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
- The information you added was quite frankly a wall of text and wasn't really needed when the information can be found in several pages, and some of the information you added included glitch exploitations which we do not consider a legitimate way to obtain a Pokémon.--ForceFire 05:57, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- I tried to eliminate part of the "wall of text" feel by keeping each entry short, but it could probably also be slightly reformatted to help more (but is also why I suggested having it at the very bottom of the trivia, and therefore the page). Not all of the information present in my edit is found on other pages as well and I don't see what the problem is with there being glitch/exploited Pokemon on the list. Bulbapedia has pages explaining all sorts of bugs and glitches in-depth and how to recreate them, including glitches to get Pokemon, like the Mew glitch. I tried not to pass judgment on what should be on the list and not by my standard of legitimacy. It was intended as a list to let you know which Mythical Pokemon were still available, with each entry being ordered with legitimate ways at the top and less/not legitimate ways at the bottom for each Pokemon. Also, like I said before, having all the information in one place that makes sense makes it much easier for readers looking for the information or that are just curious about it. There are plenty of pages with somewhat overlapping information. In the end I guess if you don't like it it's not going back up since you're staff, but I added that information because it's something I would've liked being there as a reader. FenomOO (talk) 08:58, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- Most were basically saying that they were available via transferring from elsewhere (which the info already is there on the individual pages, just go to their game locations sections, unless they specify something else), whilst the others were via glitch exploitation which we don't consider legitimate because a casual player is not going to know these things.--ForceFire 12:43, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

Kenny chen1998 has added some new info regarding some glitches to a couple sites, but the grammar on those edits was not up to Bulbapedia's standards. Marco cozmos edit
Hello there! excuse me but why did you undo my edit on the Macro cozmos page? was it a formatting issue because I would be glad to fix it! :) I am new to editing pages here so I would like to know what I did wrong, please reply soon! :) - unsigned comment from DHP613 (talk • contribs)
- I have stated in the edit summary, the two logos looking similar is a coincidence and the way it was worded made it sound like it was the Marco Cozmos logo, which is speculation.--ForceFire 16:14, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
I no not believe it to be speculation but an Easter egg sort of thing, i have found a behind the scenes at https://www.maxon.net/en/article/behind-the-scenes-of-pokemon-detective-pikachu where they show the UI, the logos match up, again, I don't think this is speculation so may I undo your edit please? :) please reply soon! --DHP613 (talk) 16:34, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- Firstly, have patience. No response doesn't mean you can just re-add it. It was night when you sent your last message, so of course I wouldn't be able to respond quickly, as I was asleep. Secondly, it is still a coincidence and speculation to say that the logo in Detective Pikachu is the Macro Cozmos logo.--ForceFire 07:41, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I'm sorry for being impatient, I did not realize you were asleep and was upset that you removed my edit, but if you look at the logos you will see they match up, is it allowed to post pictures on the user talk? I would not like to get in trouble. --DHP613 (talk) 15:28, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- I have already seen the logos and it is still a coincidence, unless you have evidence that it was intentional. And it can only be a one way reference, Detective Pikachu can't make a reference to something that was released after it.--ForceFire 17:12, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
May I at least state that they look similar? --DHP613 (talk) 17:59, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- You can point out the similarities but not state that they are the same logo unless you have evidence that it was intentional.--ForceFire 08:49, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
Okay, thank you. --DHP613 (talk) 19:29, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
PokeToon Characters
Hi, I made some content referring to the PokeToon characters, some I saved as a personal page so that this material only enters the mainspace when everything is correct, however if I keep making many changes it can exceed the daily limit of pages. What should I do? Should I do it little by little or can I send it directly to mainspace? Because I don't think I will have much help to make this work. But it's a material that I've already noticed is quite big, but few have worked on it.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 00:52, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- Try making all the necessary changes in one edit, don't split them up into smaller edits. Otherwise, you need yo abide by the policy.--ForceFire 07:41, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- The pages referring to Bidoof Big Stand and the characters(Tsubomi's parents, Anzu (Pokétoon), Trainer (Bidoof's Big Stand), Bidoof's Big Stand) that I've already finished, I wanted to know, if it's ok to transfer to mainspace?.
- Because it would decrease the volume of things I'm doing at the same time.Taking advantage, these two here:
- can they also be transferred to mainspace?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 15:10, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
- All are fine to be mainspaced, I've moved them.--ForceFire 07:58, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:27, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

The edit on EP269
Hey, I just wanted to clarify so I wasn't seen as starting an edit war or anything; I'm new to editing things on the site. I started contributing because I've been watching through the entire series for a YouTube video I'm making, and I've been reading about each episode on the site as I go. When I started noticing little things I didn't see mentioned in the pages, I wanted to try my hand at sharing some new info. But again, I'm new, so I'm just trying to figure out how the site works at the same time and I thank you for your patience.
All of this is to say: I re-added the Heracross trivia on EP269's page and added an APNG of the scene in question for proof. I hope this current info is up to standards, I don't wanna keep causing problems. --JollyVG (talk) 14:30, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification, wasn't sure what you meant by "glitch", which sounded like it might have been a video resolution thing. Also, a static image would be better, as an animated image doesn't play in gallery size.--ForceFire 17:12, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
New BDSP artworks as main pictures on Pokémon species pages
Hi, I'm wondering if it'd be possible to put up the new BDSP artworks as the main image for the 30 or so Pokémon that got a new artwork for BDSP. Let me know if I have your consent to do that. Thanks! Eukalyptis (talk) 02:08, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Wrongly invalidating my concerns
The reason why I am trying to get some of these links changed is because the parents of today's society will punish their children for absolutely anything and we just can't risk this anymore. I think that with these Wikipedia and other links to NSFW (at least by some parent's standards) content, parents could become paranoid about what their children are reading/watching/looking at. Besides I keep mentioning over and over again that there are legitimately damaging things on sites like Wikipedia which can be closely linked even if the page that this site links to isn't it. I should not known stuff about the adults only ESRB rating in fifth grade, for example. The fact that the content itself is damaging and the parents of kids can punish them further makes a double wrong, and two wrongs never make a right. Mario60866 (talk) 08:54, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- We can't control how parents will react, and we can't control how harsh they will punish their children. We also can't control what people view on their computers, whether intentionally or by accident. The bottom line is, if you feel another site has hurtful content then you should take it up over there, not here. We can't control what Wikipedia does on their articles. And the articles we do link to generally don't have any adult material on them, save for those regarding topics about adult stuff, but that's again is on the user if they want to click on that link or not.--ForceFire 09:31, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Goh's Heracross
By the rules, Goh's Heracross has already reached the minimum requirements for a page. Is it ok to move to mainspace?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 10:58, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- It's certainly notalbe, go for it.--ForceFire 13:37, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Ok, Thanks. I tried here and it appears that the page already exists. Probably have to delete the redirect.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:45, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Journeys specials
Why did you undo the "last/next episode" connection edits regarding the Journeys specials? Are they not part of Journeys, the same way the special episodes of DP, BW, and XY, which also have received a similar treatment? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:02, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, forgot the XY specials were in the middle of the series, could only remember the other specials being counted as after the series' finale.--ForceFire 18:14, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Look, I don't want to be nosy or anything. But doesn't that kind of "break the cycle"?The Mega Evolution specials are four isolated stories of Alain, these episodes of Journeys, well... they are a single story told in four parts.
- If it fits with the airing date, will we put JN093-JNS01-JNS02-JN094-JNS03-JNS04-JN095?That's right? Even more because here, there is only one redirection (I've seen some wikias that use two, one for chronology and another for the next event), considering that we don't even know how these episodes will come to the Western, it doesn't make much sense. --Hikaru Wazana (talk) 19:02, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Can I readd the removed edits, FF? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:26, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Nevermind. Didn't notice you already did so. Sorry. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:27, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Between Force Fire's first instinct being not to insert the specials and abcboy stating reservations as well, I think we should keep them separate for now. I think if anyone has further comments, User talk:Abcboy#Journeys specials is probably the place to focus discussion at the moment. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:13, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
About voice actors
You say even episode credits are not reliable source. Am I supposed to believe every single things must have a cite web to news or interviews or voice actors' social media? Even released anime episodes? So, either I'll find sources you want or I'll go edit something else (if there even is anything for me to edit anymore)? --CAJH (talk) 18:17, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
Oh, you answered already to my homepage. --CAJH (talk) 18:20, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
Evaluation
Hi, at first, sorry for the inconvenience.
In the last few days, I've been trying to work on Cynthia's page in the anime, as I saw that the page was very superficial with her content and the character has a huge development in the anime, I wanted to know your opinion. I mean, is the work done so far satisfactory? Generally speaking, I still had to go into more detail about her role in the Team Galactic and Team Rocket ending arcs in DP and BW, respectively.
But to avoid unnecessary discussion and another incident like the one on Chloe's page, I would like to know if you approve of me continuing with what I've been doing here or the ideal is to go back to where I was before. No need to edit, I would just like you to give it a read and in case you think it's better not to continue, I'll undo the changes myself. What would you prefer me to do?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 20:56, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
- The problem I see is that it's way too much, some of the entries are far too long and would be more suitable for the plot section of an episode article. Histories should generally be short and to the point, there's no need to add every little detail of what a character does in an episode. If you find yourself writing paragraph after paragraph based off what a character does in one episode, then you should dial it back a bit.--ForceFire 07:35, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- I agree with FF. In addition, your text is written in present tense, which is inconsistent with the past tense used elsewhere in the article. I also recommend checking any links you create in case they are redirect links. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:54, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
In JN080, Cynthia (or any random character) says hi.
In JN096, Cynthia (or any random character) appears in a flashback.
In JN097, Cynthia (or any random character) looks to the sky.
- That is, much of what was on the page before, fit perfectly on the page of the games counterpart(practically making useless, Cynthia from the anime has an exclusive page). But when you look at Cynthia from the anime's angle, she's a character that has been built for more than 10 years. Even more with a huge plot built for the battle between her and Ash, which Pokémon Journeys has been anticipating will happen.
- I don't believe this is something inherent to the manga characters, because Paul's page follows a different construction than usual, for example. Even being better written than most rivals in the anime. A lot of what I see on Cynthia's page in the anime is Cynthia's story from Ash's perspective, when it should be Cynthia's story from the anime's perspective.
- Anyway, I'll be copying what I did on Cynthia's page for my personal page(Now I can't do that because of the three daily edit rules), so I'll return to what I was before. Sorry for the inconvenience.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:28, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
Stopping leaks
Why did you lock all articles until Legend arceus is released?
You didnt think leaks are confirmed? or other things?--Leokids (Splash!) (talk) 15:57, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Leaks/pre-release info are not to be put onto the articles until the games are out. Period. It's how we do things. I had initially semi-protected those articles as a warning not to add those information, but people still added the information anyway.--ForceFire 16:09, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
Hisuian Starter Evolutions
First off I’d like to apologize about the datamine info even though I hid it
Second, I think we can update the pages for Decidueye, Typhlosion, and Samurott now, because this trailer just dropped on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyxGvVBlSDQ

Problematic edits
I didnt know you dont think the name sharing between the Pokémon and the enemy spy from the Naruto series. Why dont you think it is notable?
And why do you think my teddiursa edit is a speculation? and a assumption?--Leokids (Splash!) (talk) 16:27, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- It's a coincidence that the two share a name. It's nothing special.
- You are assuming that one entry talking about one bee Pokemon applies to all bee Pokemon. One entry states that Teddiursa uses the pollen and fruit of Beedrill (and just Beedrill), while the other states that it takes the honey from Combee (and only from Combee). You can just interchange them however you like.--ForceFire 16:38, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
Don't be childish
Could you please start acting like an adult? You act like you own everything and doesn't want to cooperate with anyone. What's your problem about Meltan?--Rocket Grunt 17:06, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- I've updated the hidden note so you can get what I mean. I do things for a reason, if you are confused (even though I had already added a hidden note saying why it needs to be there prior to your edit), then you can ask me or go to the talk page.--ForceFire 17:10, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- I am very happy about that. But leaving unfinished template for a long time is still an issue. What's the problem with that? I know how to make templates. I could fix that.--Rocket Grunt 17:13, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Looked around the categories and found there's already one in the userspace, I've mainspaced the template and updated the two articles.--ForceFire 17:24, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Awesome! Now about all other Pokemon that appear in LGPE. The main template "Template:Spritebox/7" should also have LGPE part in it and all Pokemon from generation I would probably need to be updated. Is there something you want me to do or should I try to do it on my userspace and show it later?--Rocket Grunt 17:31, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Actually, I see there are already done other templates. I'll be waiting until you mainspace them, because if you won't I will.--Rocket Grunt 17:46, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Speaking of templates to be mainspaced, could we get a "Pokémon/7" template variant for the Let's Go games in use sometime soon? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:59, 31 January 2022 (UTC)

Galarian Slowpoke
Galarian Slowpoke has the same base stats as Kantonian Slowpoke.
- I'm personally of the mindset of the second one, as it trims the page down. And on that note, should regional forms get their own page? For example, Galarian Slowpoke on the navigation would be #079G. Navigating a Pokémon with a regional form is clunky and feels cluttered. Rahl (talk) 19:38, 31 January 2022 (UTC)

Banned from Bulbagarden Forums?
ForceFire, did you ban me from the forums by any chance? Today when I logged in, I saw it said that I was banned for "rules violations". If I was banned, what did I do wrong? Mario60866 (talk) 14:07, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
- You were not banned by Force Fire on the forums, and if you want to know more, you should look to why on the forums; they always give their reasons. Here and there are different places. Kai * the Arc Toraph 16:27, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
Get a Grip
Doing research you couldn't be bothered to do isn't "speculation" and standing by it once isn't "edit warring." As someone has said before on your talk page - act like a grown up. I mean really, blocking someone because they didn't immediately step down? The next stage would have been to raise it on the article's talk page and discuss it like adults. Unfit for duty.
