The pastures (Japanese: 放牧場 pastures) are an area on the east side of Jubilife Village where the player stores their Pokémon, serving as the equivalent of the Pokémon Storage System with a single Box referred to as a pasture (Japanese: ぼくじょう pasture). Each pasture can hold 30 Pokémon.
The village pastures are managed by Marie, and can be accessed by speaking to a Galaxy Member at any base camp. After finishing the Daybreak request, they can also be accessed by talking to Ingo.
Initially the player is limited to a maximum of 30 pastures. The 31st pasture is unlocked when Dialga or Palkia is captured during Mission 18 and a final 32nd pasture is unlocked when capturing Arceus during Mission 27.
When the player releases a Pokémon, they may receive Grit Dust, Grit Gravel, Grit Pebbles, or Grit Rocks, with higher-level Pokémon being more likely to give better items
