Pokémon Rocks America
Pokémon Rocks America was a Pokémon tour which took place in 2003, 2004, and 2005 in the United States.
It featured TCG tournaments, video presentations, activities, demonstrations of new Pokémon games, and previews. The tour allowed attendants to download hidden features onto their games, notably the MysticTicket, AuroraTicket, and Eon Ticket. The tour also had games, contests, a live stage show, fully costumed Pokémon characters, and a Pokémon VW Beetle on display.
A stamped version of Lugia from the EX Unseen Forces Trading Card Game expansion was given away as a promotion to attendees of the 2005 events. Other items, such as large Lugia figures, were handed out as prizes for certain games.

The 2005 tour saw live karaoke contests on stage, demos of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and Pokémon Dash, and shirts with the Pokémon Rocks America logo and plush dolls including the Generation III starters for sale. There were also fully costumed Pikachu, Plusle, Minun, Mudkip, Jirachi, Meowth, and Munchlax characters, along with inflatable Pikachu, Groudon, Mudkip, Torchic, Treecko, Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, and Shadow Lugia balloons.

Event Pokémon
This Metang was exclusively distributed during the Pokémon Rocks America tour in 2005. Players had to complete the Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness demo that was held at each participating location. Once completing the demo, players would receive a card to exchange for Metang. The demo was held from September 17 to October 22, 2005 at 10:00am to 4:00pm.
