Flamethrower (Japanese: かえんほうしゃ Flame Emission) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Flamethrower does damage and has a 9.8% chance of burning the target.
Flamethrower can't burn a target that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.
Generation II and on
Same as Generation I, but with a 10% chance of burning instead.
