Release information
This card was included in the English Evolutions expansion, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary subset, featuring artwork by Mitsuhiro Arita. It was also one of the Prerelease cards of the expansion. Gold foil "Staff" stamped versions were given to those overseeing the events. It was reprinted in Japan as a XY-P Promotional card with artwork by Ken Sugimori and was available as part of the Trade Please Campaign 20th, which began on September 16, 2016 for as long as stocks lasted. Customers visiting participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and Pokémon Store Outlets, as well as those attending the 20th Anniversary Festa venues in October, could trade 20 Pokémon TCG cards featuring a classic reverse (those released during the Original and Neo Eras) with a member of staff for 1 of 2 "courses" whilst saying the secret password "Trade Please!". The "A Course" included a Pikachu card and a reprint of the Trade Please! promotional card available during the original campaign in 1998. The "B Course" included this card and the Trade Please! card. Only 1 trade could be completed per day.

Trivia
Origin
Fire Spin is a move in the Pokémon games that Charizard can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green, Pokémon FireRed, and Pokémon Y. The Evolutions print is based on Base Set Charizard. Similarly, the XY-P Promotional print is based on the Charizard card available as part of the original Trade Please campaign in 1998, also an alternate art reprint of Base Set Charizard.
