Differences between the anime and the manga
- While Ash, Hoopa, Meray, and Baraz are trying to escape the space-time distortion at the end of the story, Hoopa is able to escape temporarily by going through the ring with Baraz as he lives in Arche Valley, but is forced back through as soon as Ash takes it. In the movie, Baraz and Meray both try to bring Hoopa through the ring and fail, as the stipulation that Hoopa can pass through if accompanied by a resident of Arche Valley is not present.
