Relic Song (Japanese: いにしえのうた Ancient Song) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation V. It is the signature move of Meloetta.

Effect

Relic Song deals damage and has a 10% chance of putting the target to sleep. Relic Song hits all adjacent opponents.

Relic Song is a sound-based move.

If successfully used by Meloetta (affecting at least one Pokémon), it will also cause Meloetta to change between its Aria and Pirouette Formes, changing its type, base stats, and EV yield. However, if Meloetta's Ability is changed to Sheer Force, Sheer Force removes Relic Song's form-changing effect.

Generation V

If used on a Pokémon behind a substitute, it hits that Pokémon's substitute.

Generation VI onwards

Relic Song can now hit Pokémon even if they are behind a substitute.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Relic Song cannot be selected in a battle.
