Tapunium Z

The Tapunium Z (Japanese: カプＺ Kapu Z) is a type of Z-Crystal introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon. It is a Pokémon-specific Z-Crystal associated with the tapu and allows them to upgrade their Nature's Madness into the special Z-Move Guardian of Alola.

In battle
Allows the tapu (or a Pokémon transformed into one of the tapu) to upgrade their Nature's Madness into the special Z-Move Guardian of Alola.
Unaffected by item negating effects (such as Embargo and Klutz). Item manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot remove a Z-Crystal from a Pokémon.
Rayquaza cannot Mega Evolve if it holds a Z-Crystal.
Outside of battle
A held Tapunium Z is automatically removed if the Pokémon is traded between players.

In the anime
In From Z to Shining Z!, Tapu Koko gave Professor Kukui a Tapunium Z in order for them to perform Guardian of Alola against Ash and Pikachu during the Manalo Conference exhibition match.
Trivia
- Out of all species-specific Z-Crystals, the Tapunium Z can be used by the most amount of Pokémon, at four.
