Pokémon world locations |
The Ruins of Conflict (Japanese: 戦の遺跡 Ruins of Conflict) are a location on Melemele Island in Alola, located north of the Plank Bridge on Mahalo Trail.
The Ruins of Conflict are where the guardian deity of Melemele Island, Tapu Koko, can be found.
Geography
Like the other ruins of Alola, the Ruins of Conflict consist of a simple entrance area, walkway, and the interior, where the shrine for Tapu Koko is located. Unlike the other ruins, however, the walkway in these ruins does not contain any sort of puzzle, allowing it to be crossed without the need to use Machamp Shove.

Special encounters
In Pokémon Sun and Moon, after the player first becomes Champion, they visit the Ruins with Lillie during the ending. Tapu Koko challenges the player to a battle. The player can lose, capture, defeat, or run away from Tapu Koko, and the story will progress regardless of outcome. Lillie will provide unique dialogue depending on the outcome. If defeated or run from, it respawns on the next visit after the credits roll. If defeated or run from again, it respawns after the player defends their title. On the first fight, Tapu Koko will drop a Tapunium Z after the battle.
In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Tapu Koko appears here after becoming Champion. If defeated or run from, it respawns after the player defends their title. If Tapu Koko is the first of the four Guardian deities fought, it will drop a Tapunium Z after the battle.
It is coded to never be Shiny, regardless of game version.
