Examples of items found only in Mystery Dungeon series. For the purposes of this template, DX is considered a Generation VII game, given that it has no Generation VIII features.
The Explorers of Sky field is used specifically for methods available only in that game and not in Time/Darkness (such as Treasure Memo, Hidden Stairs, or new dungeons).
Blast Seed
An item that has appeared in every entry.
The Blast Seed (Japanese: ばくれつのタネ Explosive Seed) is a type of Seed found in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series that can be used to inflict damage on another Pokémon.

Effect
When thrown, Blast Seed inflicts damage (see below) on the target. In Red and Blue Rescue Team only, during boss battles, the damage is lower, with the accompanying message "It appears to be weak here..."
If eaten, it restores user's Belly by 5 and attacks the tile in front of them, dealing damage (see below).

X-Eye Seed
An item that has appeared in early games but has since then disappeared. Has no artwork and for whatever reason had a completely different name in the first games.
The X-Eye Seed (Japanese: まどわしのタネ Delude Seed), known as Allure Seed (Japanese: めつぶしのタネ Blinding Seed) in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team is a type of Seed found in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series.

Warp Orb
An item that was around since the first games but was eventually replaced by a similar item.
The Warp Orb (Japanese: ワープだま Warp Orb) is a type of Wonder Orb found in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. This item was replaced by Warp Wand in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.

In Red and Blue Rescue Team, upon use the Wonder Orb causes all enemies in the same room as the user to randomly warp to somewhere else on floor.
In Explorers series, Adventure Squad series and Gates to Infinity, the orb instead targets a single foe up to 10 tiles ahead.

Foe-Fear Orb
An item with version exclusivity in Explorers series. Could also be used for items with noticeable version differences that aren't quite version-exclusive, like Gummis.
