Disciplinary action
This is probably not my place to bring up, and I'm very sorry for that, but User:Relicant continues to abuse hide tags, including for the blatant purpose of trolling, despite the fact that he or she has been specifically warned by you not to do so. Can something be done about it, please? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:22, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- As Pokemaster97 said on his talk page, it's best to let an EB member to handle this issue.--電禅Den Zen 18:31, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Ah. Sorry. I didn't see that it had been brought up there as well. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:51, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
Then what are the hide tags for? --Reli★ジーランス? 18:36, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Adding comments, warnings, questions, unconfirmed information etc. to mainspace articles. But definitely NOT the way you are using them.--電禅Den Zen 18:44, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Template feedback
Can you take a look at this template to see if it's alright to be used? Thanks. — Reshi643 18:26, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
- It looks good to me and I can't think of any reasons to not mainspace it.--電禅Den Zen 19:30, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for using it, I just want to let you know that the template is linked to my user page and needs to be moved to Template:Kalos NPCs. — Reshi643 19:54, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
Template:Type2
Can I ask why Template:Type2 is on the Wanted templates page, if it was deleted one year ago, and nothing is using the template? — Reshi643 20:29, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- I have no idea. But it's not a big issue at all, as there is room for 1000 wanted templates when there's currently only 112.--電禅Den Zen 20:42, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- The cache seems to be behind a bit. Likely, the system will refresh the data and it will be removed in the next cycle. --Super goku (talk) 04:45, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
Cherrim and Castform minisprites
Uploaded animated ones; asked Force Fire about that (since he was active about hour ago when I posted that, but it seems he went away somewhere after that, so asking you instead). To be precise - Cherrim Sunshine Form* and Castform weather forms* Marked +-+-+ (talk) 07:46, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Castform is done. I don't think Cherrim's old menusprite needs to be there because there's a link to the other images, and it would require big and complicated changes to the sprite template.--電禅Den Zen 08:27, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Template
Can we make an exception for Georgia? She's Iris' main rival an the only way we can have a template for her Pokémon party is if either her Bisharp or Vanilluxe gets an article, but since people here hate Bisharp with a burning passion and Georgia's Vanilluxe was in only one episode we can't have a page for either. --Reli★ジーランス? 16:18, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- We don't make exceptions for Drew, Harley, and Barry either, even though they are more important characters than Georgia. And it's not that we hate Bisharp, it's that you like it too much. Being your favorite Pokémon doesn't make it more likely to get an article.--電禅Den Zen 16:35, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
What makes you think I like Bisharp? --Reli★ジーランス? 16:51, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
And? --Reli★ジーランス? 17:39, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Are you (playing) dumb? You asked what makes me think you like Bisharp and I showed you a version of your user page with a "♥ This user loves Bisharp. ♥" tag.-電禅Den Zen 19:14, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Nah. I'm just trolling with you.
- Anyway back on topic, when will Georgia's Bisharp be allowed a page/when can I mainspace the Georgia's Pokémon template? --Reli★ジーランス? 19:22, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- When Bisharp has made enough notable appearances. It is currently pretty much as notable as Drew's Masquerain and Paul's Weavile, who are in Kenji-girl's list.--電禅Den Zen 19:40, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- ... But it has? It's partook in two tournaments, one of them while it was still a Pawniard. This is sorta like how Grimsley's Bisharp isn't allowed an article despite being his main Pokémon and appearing with him in all major appearances. Unless Grimsley is a Gym Leader/other important Trainer in XY/plays a super important role in b2w2 chapter of Adventures, or Georgia returns in the XY series <!--high probability of happening because Fairies-->, these Bisharp probably won't have screen time in the future. --Reli★ジーランス? 19:48, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

- Also, if Georgia isn't allowed a character template because only of her Pokémon have a page, why is White from Adventures allowed one when the only Pokémon in her possession that has a page is Amanda? - unsigned comment from Relicant (talk • contribs)
- Sorry to butt in, but Amanda isn't the only one. Gigi also has a page; she just doesn't happen to be in White's party at the moment, so you have to hit "show". Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 20:04, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Masquerain won a Contest, fought against May's Beautifly, appealed in two Grand Festivals, and fought in one of them. Weavile battled against a Champion and Ash, weakened a wild Pokémon and made three cameos. And their own pages were deleted because they weren't notable enough. It's not the end of the world if a Pokémon doesn't have a page, the {{TrainerPoké}}
template can have all the same information as an own page.
Actually, it looks like Adventure does have different rules for making the Pokémon template, as Rakutsu and Faitsu have them.--電禅Den Zen 20:17, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Even better example: Faitsu has a party template, yet only has one Pokémon (a Foongus) on her team. Said Foongus doesn't have an existing page. --Reli★ジーランス? 20:17, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Xernes and Yveltal
Their genders are still "Unknown", but here... If you set the quality to 720p and then screenshot that (which I did; the quality isn't superb but good enough to notice gender icons and lack of them on the duo) so you can zoom, you notice Xerneas and Yveltal lack the icons.. Bianca's Escavalier
Does Bianca's Escavalier deserve its own article since the response I was given was unofficial on my talk page? PattyMan 22:42, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Why are you asking to add a delete template to a page in another user's userspace? Not everything created in a userspace is destined for the mainspace. --Reli★ジーランス? 22:52, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Blocking users
Just letting you know that it's been decided that the one month block you gave to PokeSerbia, as well as the one week initial block, was a bit excessive for the nature of the issues. We do ask that you try to be a little lighter handed on the blocking in the future. Thanks, - Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:04, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sorry about that, I thought the fact that he was blatantly ignoring the warnings would make the block last longer. But I'm fine with the one-week block.
- And I wonder where and when have the staff members these discussions? I'd like to take part in at least some of them, so that I can present my opinions and we can prevent situations like this.--電禅Den Zen 09:40, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- Major discussions take place on the forums, while more minor discussions & private person to person talks tend to be done via instant message clients (typically AIM, sometimes Skype). If you don't have a forums account, or an AIM account, I'd certainly suggest making one of each. You can then send a PM on the forums so we can get in touch with you for stuff like this. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 10:18, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

I'm still learning the controls on Bulbapedia... I recently got an account, but just out of curiosity, why aren't we allowed anime quotes? I was just curious, if that!/ okay of me to ask.- unsigned comment from Neptunebmusic (talk • contribs)
- I think the main reason is that it's somewhat subjective which quotes should be added. But personally, I think that we could have one or several quotes for main/recurring characters. However, it needs to be discussed first.--電禅Den Zen 11:02, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

So wait, how is it possible that Viridian Bow's Japanese Bow translated to Yellow-Green Ribbon; Lime Bow's to Dark Green Ribbon; Cobalt Bow to Violet Ribbon (?!); and Violet Bow to Deep Blue Ribbon? (also, checking what are the actual names of aura and which one gets which bow; currently on fifth). Marked +-+-+ (talk) 19:43, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure Akurochan accidentally mixed up those names when he added the Japanese names for Aura Bows. I simply translated those names correctly (without paying attention to English names).--電禅Den Zen 20:01, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Move tutors and stuff.
So I've been around pages, and Move Tutor templates list all 3 Kyurem and both of Meloetta's Formes. But for what reason? The species pages don't list them as having different movesets. (Deoxys Formes do have different movesets, but not Kyurem's or Meloetta's.) - the only place that should list that is Draco Meteor as it's teachable in BW, where Kyurem Formes don't exist. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:43, 16 August 2013 (UTC) PS. As well as the mentioned in tooltip moves. But otherwise, the moveset is... well, the same. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:44, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
- Pirouette Forme should definitely not be listed, because you can't have it outside a battle. We shouldn't list Black/White Kyurem either, because they all learn the same Tutor moves. I also noticed that Kami trio formes are listed separately, even though they shouldn't be.--電禅Den Zen 10:57, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

I'm sure
Look I have been told not to guess by ear, but how I know it could be him is because in the last three episodes from 123-125 I watched them and I saw his name in those 3 episodes credits, it can't be anyone else I'm most likely positive unless if its just an intern like person or just someone uncredited for a character. Mega Stone description Unknown Mega Stone.
I noticed the staff keeps on putting "blank evolves into Mega blank with an unknown mega stone" Wouldn't it be more encyclopedic to not refer to every Pokémon (outside of Blaizken and Lucario)as evolving by unknown Mega Stones; at least until further info is known? .
The staff is always reminding us to think about what we add until more info is available. Saying "unknown Mega Stone" every time seems to go against this. I know if a Pokémon direct were too display a shadowed out Mega Evolution of a Pokémon that looks like Scizor, and I put it up on the Scizor article before you guys protect the article, you guys would likely tell me wait untuil further info is available. Yamitora1 (talk) 21:55, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

- Well I thought those fields deserve a page because the fields of different types (Rock, Water, Grass) generally feature in Gyms, as well in Pokémon leagues as you mentioned, but just one thing they have a big role in the anime don't you think. Kecleon is nearly invisible in Grass field, Milotic gets a lot of damage under Water by Pikachu's Thunderbolt, furthermore Tauros cannot use Fissure on a sandy field. Translation help
Do you know what, さすらいのトレーメームテキ, means name wise? I saw it in Be a Master!! Pokémon BW as a character's name but I couldn't tell the translation. PattyMan 01:49, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Butting in because I think I can help... It was probably トレーナー, not トレーメー, for one thing. So it would be "Wandering Trainer Muteki" or "Muteki, the wandering trainer". "Muteki" means "invincible", and if you wanted to translate the name, I would almost suggest "Vince", except "vincable" is a word too and means the opposite... A name's not so easy. Maybe "Clark" or "Kal" after the invincible Man of Steel. =P Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:18, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
Trivia on Crabhammer and Octazooka
Why is it that you reverted my edits to the Trivia sections of these moves? They are both the only moves whose Japanese names contain the names of Pokémon in them. Fusion Bolt and Shadow Bolt do no such thing. And by the way, in the future, for your edit summaries, please try to be a bit more specific. Just saying something like "Fusion Bolt and Shadow Bolt" is a little vague. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 19:50, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- You're again claiming false things before verifying them. Fusion Bolt's and Shadow Bolt's Japanese names are Cross Thunder and Dark Thunder, respectively, meaning that they obviously contain Zapdos's Japanese name.--電禅Den Zen 20:29, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- 1. Those moves aren't meant to have Zapdos's Japanese name in them.
- 2. Additionally, Zapdos cannot learn either of those moves (don't quote me on that; I am actually not sure about Shadow Bolt), not to mention that Fusion Bolt is Zekrom's signature move.
- 3. Crab Hammer and Okutank Cannon are obviously meant to have the names of the respective Pokémon in their names.
- 4. To prove this, Krabby and Octillery once had these as their signature moves (respectively).
- 5. Again, please remember to make your edit summaries more specific in the future.
- 6. I'm again claiming false things before verifying them? Please give me examples of times I have done that in the past. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 21:50, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry to butt in, but I just have to point out that even if you refined the trivium's wording so as to exclude Fusion Bolt and Shadow Bolt, Crabhammer and Octazooka are still two moves and thus too many to be notable. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 21:53, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- The way I see it is that if it is a topic that is broad and noticeable, like Mega evolving or having unique type combinations, then yes, including at least two subjects that apply to said categories wouldn't be notable. However, if it is something small and unnoticeable, like a move having the name of a Pokémon in its name, then I would say that it is notable to include two Pokémon who apply to that category. If there were a lot of moves that did this, then I would agree that it wouldn't be notable to include it in the Trivia section. But since there are only two, my standpoint says that it is notable. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 22:03, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- First, the trivium definitely isn't notable if you add "except for Fusion Bolt and Shadow Bolt" there. Also, you can't be sure that Crabhammer is meant to have Krabby's name in it or that Dark Thunder isn't, since the only Pokémon that can have Shadow Bolt is Dark Thunder, contrary what you claim in the point 2, so once again you're lying. About the point 6, there's Tickle activating partner's Defiant (I tested it today), critical hits not ignoring Defense boosts, and trading Pokémon from Gen I to Gen V.--電禅Den Zen 22:37, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- Dennou, you tend to be overly blunt, condescending and quick-to-judge. First of all, if you're right, then the Crabhammer page is lying (which I highly doubt), because it specifically says that Crab comes from Krabby's Japanese name. I also wasn't saying that "except for Fusion Bolt and Shadow Bolt" should be included in the Trivia section along with Crabhammer and Octazooka being the only moves with Pokémon's names in them. About Shadow Bolt, you can't be sure that Thunder comes from Zapdos's Japanese name, even if it is exclusive to Shadow Zapdos. The term "Thunder" is ambiguous when it comes to the Pokémon series. "Crab", on the other hand, isn't. Finally, do you actually think I would personally lie to someone I don't even know over the internet? One of us is right, the other is wrong. One of us is probably just remembering something incorrectly. Also, I already included on my Double Battle strategy talk page that I have realized my mistake about transferring Pokémon from one Generation to the other. People make mistakes, you know. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 22:49, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Extranneous redlinks in Wanted pages
Sometimes I search through the Wanted Pages to find links to fix. Meanwhile, two users created some Gen VII league pages in their userspaces, which was fine until I noticed those pages spawned redlinks that appeared in the Wanted Pages. The users in question are RespectThePixel and Cinday123. Cinday's is a very mild case, since the redlinks don't appear until the later part of her page where the gyms were listed. RTP's, however, has redlinks left and right, especially his league page. Both used normal templates for their pages, making it impossible to fix those redlinks directly. Is there anything that can be done about this? Thanks in advance. Berrenta (talk) 19:26, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
- Removing the fakemon names was relatively easy, but removing everything else appears to be impossible without editing the templates or creating a new ones.--電禅Den Zen 20:06, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
- Possibly it's a slightly extreme option, but you could perhaps subst all the templates and then just go back and fix the bad links. It makes it somewhat harder for RespectThePixel to maintain the page, but it's a solution. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:18, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
Watchlist
Whenever I try clicking on the watchlist tab on a page, a pop-up message says that an error occurred while changing my watchlist settings for said page I'm on. Might be a glitch in the system but still needs to be looked in to. On an unrelated note, I noticed that something needs to be done regarding what's going on in this topic . - Sorry, I don't really have knowledge of technical stuff like that. And it's better to let Jo or another EB member to handle the Relicant issue, remember that I'm "just" a Senior Admin.--電禅Den Zen 15:56, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice. I will find someone (probably Editor-in-Chief since they have experience) to discuss about the watchlist not working. I am going to let an EB member know about the Relicant issue since I don't want to get involved with dealing it myself. Jo hasn't been online lately which was why I was letting you know about it. Dragonite
Why did you undo my edit on Dragonite? It's true that Dragonite is the first pseudo-legendary Pokémon. I was wanting to know if it's notable, But I also saw you delete an other trivia. --Ethan7 (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- It simply wasn't notable. It's obvious that the Generation I pseudo-legendary is also the first pseudo-legendary.--電禅Den Zen 18:49, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- Well, it also says it on the page about pseudo-legendary Pokémon so should I delete that as well? And why did't you just say it is not notable before.--Ethan7 (talk) 19:05, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- I guess so. And come on, you were wondering in your edit summary if it's notable. Of course I removed it because it wasn't notable.--電禅Den Zen 19:12, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Clemont Heliolisk
Is there a reason you deleted my page of Clemont's Heliolisk?- unsigned comment from Rahl (talk • contribs)
- Didn't you read my edit summary? Heliolisk won't get a page yet due to the notability policy.--電禅Den Zen 23:33, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
My mistake- unsigned comment from Rahl (talk • contribs) Again sorry about my creation of a page. I didn't know I needed permission to do that I thought combining them a decent compromise after seeing Brandon's Regis page. It won't happen again.- unsigned comment from Rahl (talk • contribs)

I did use that
I did use that Show Preview button to keep on checking if it was right or not so I kept on trying to fix it. I never succeeded even it looks like I did everything right.--Hydreigonfan1 (talk) 18:25, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
- If you "never succeeded", you shouldn't have pressed the save save page button when it looked like this or this and should have made a request instead.--電禅Den Zen 18:31, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
Clemont's Chespin
How is it clearly a different one, if they have the same VAs, Japanese have different VAs per single species of Pokemon, which means Hitomi Nabatame wouldn't voice 2 different Chespin especially if they both came from Sycamore's lab. --Dman dustin (talk) 18:36, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- To be honest, I thought that they have a different VA because I only checked the VA list for XY003 and Nabatame wasn't there. Still, there's no definite proof that they're the same one; many VAs have voiced more than one Pokémon of the same species, and Serena didn't say anything like "this is the same Chespin I met before".--電禅Den Zen 19:04, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- Only in regards to wild Pokemon, important Pokemon always get a different VA to random non important ones. And even then if there are multiple ones, there's different VAs. If I'm not mistaken, all the Tepig we've seen has always had different VAs. The one in the first episode of BW, Ash's, and the other Tepig we saw at the lab with the girl after the Unova League. It may not be confirmed absolutely, but I'm pretty sure it was intended to be the same, I cannot see why Nabatame would voice a Chespin in XY004 (which is why "she" wasn't credited because the starters didn't have speaking roles), and then voice a completely different Chespin from the same lab setting in XY010. And I honestly cannot see how a trainer selected Chespin between the time Serena chose Fennekin to prior to BW010 and Sycamore being able to resupply a Chespin so quickly. You can't argue Froakie, because its had multiple trainers and was "released" and I'm sure Sycamore could've easily gotten a replacement during that time. --Dman dustin (talk) 17:13, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
- Brock's Onix & Bruno's Onix and Iris's Dragonite & Clair's Dragonite appeared in the same episode and had the same VAs (and there are many others that didn't appear in the same episode). You're also assuming that there's only one of each starter Pokémon at the lab at the time. If there can be two Combee, why not two Chespin? And as I said earlier, there's no definite proof currently.--電禅Den Zen 17:31, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

Treasure hunter target
You originally redirected the Treasure hunter page to Route 13, so I thought I might find some support with you. SnorlaxMonster has decided that "Treasure Hunter" should redirect to Route 18 for the Pokémon Ranger who gives you the Larvesta egg, who is only named in the Larvesta's location (like a Pokémon hatched from a Day-Care egg would say "Day-Care Couple" for its location). I can't start an edit war over it and he's a staff member anyway, so I thought it might be wise for me to introduce a third party (who also has some authority...).
The problem with redirecting it to the man on Route 18 is that it's incredibly obscure. If you say "Treasure hunter", I would bet the vast majority of people would think of the man on Route 13 before anyone else (rather: and no one else). Most people with that egg/Pokémon probably know exactly where it came from; they're never going to search for "Treasure hunter" wanting to find him. By contrast, the guy on Route 13 says he "hunts treasure". It's not unreasonable to think of him as a "Treasure hunter" and possibly search for that. Or else, anyone who may have seen that title for him ("Treasure hunter") on our Route 13 page and later on wants to recheck what all he can give out could easily search for "Treasure hunter" in a heartbeat.
If anything, I think "Treasure hunter" should redirect to the section on Route 13, and there can be a redirect template under that section to point to/explain Route 18. I wholly believe that Route 13 is the most useful reference for "Treasure hunter", and the reference to Route 18 is little more than pedantic trivia. ...At absolute worst, Route 18 needs a redirect template pointing to the man on Route 13. But I believe that is a bad solution as I believe nearly everyone who might find themselves so redirected would be clicking through to Route 13 again; they should not have to. Tiddlywinks (talk) 07:01, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- I redirected the title there just because somebody created it like this; I never took the Larvesta Egg and didn't know about its data. Anyways, I support Pumpkin's idea of making a disambig. After all, if the Route 13 guy "hunts treasure", then he is also a "treasure hunter".--電禅Den Zen 10:54, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
