Welcome to Bulbapedia, RexRacer!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

• For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.

• The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B. The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
• The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
• On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
• The use of link templates is official policy.
• If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
• A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
• For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. Please don't erase talk page comments for no reason. Trust me, you do NOT want to end up like Big Johnno, who got into an edit war with a sysop over comments the former had erased and was trying to keep erased. Link Templates

Please use link templates when linking to stuff such as Pokémon names, attacks, and the like. For example, {{p|Kadabra}} instead of just [[Kadabra]]. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.

Redlinks

Do not remove redlinks! That is how pages appear on the Wanted pages. If there were no redlinks, no one would know what pages to create. Leave the removing of redlinks to an admin. ^Moldy_Orange 02:14, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

The problem with your edit

I'm not sure about "start" vs. "previous," you'd have to ask someone else about that. But the moves Bibarel learns before the level at which it evolves from Bidoof are not "previous," as they are learned by Bibarel at those levels, even though it's normally impossible to have a Bibarel at those levels. I've been using this- seems good to me.

2. (Pokémon) evolves from {{p|}} starting at level ()[, and evolves into {{p|}} starting at level().]

3. It evolves from {{p|}} at level () and is the final form of {{p|}}.

Level up Learnset

ok,please don't change the Level up learnset anymore. We mentioned the move that can learn form the move relearner is considered as a start move, you may take look at other pokemon such as Weavile, the three move Assurance, Revenge and Embargo is considred as start move rather than "upon evolution" . please don't change it anymore,beacuse it make me a lot of work that I don't want to-- chungkingpun 12:56, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Because everyone was editing the userspace too much. There were no rules about it at the time, and now we have the userspace policy to help keep people from editing their pages too rapidly. Pokémon Plurality

I would like to argue that it is perfectly okay for Pokémon to be referred to in the singular in their Biology sections, or anywhere else for that matter. Yes, they are species, but it is perfectly appropriate to refer to a species in the singular. For instance, consider Wikipedia's article on Cougars. The second paragraph reads "A capable stalk-and-ambush predator, the cougar pursues a wide variety of prey." (emphasis mine). It is the same case for Pokémon species. The difference, of course, is that Pokémon species are considered proper nouns, so we would never refer to Pikachu as a species as the Pikachu. Using singular verbs with the name of a Pokémon species can thus refer to the Pokémon species as a whole, and not just to a specific instance, so saying something such as "Raikou is a yellow, tiger-like creature" is grammatically fine. — Laoris _(Blah) 04:18, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I have to apologize. I guess Snore on Hypno wasn't one of the moves I checked earlier, and Serebii and Smogon are right—it doesn't learn it. I probably made an assumption there. Thank you for catching my mistake. I'll try not to be so quick to assume fault next time. I really did find some discrepancies on there though...
