A Duke (Japanese: デューク Duke) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Battle Chateau of the Generation VI games Pokémon X and Y. The male player character can become a Duke after defeating enough Trainers in the Battle Chateau and, along with its female counterpart class Duchess, is the next noble rank held by both him and trainers of the Battle Chateau after Marquis.
Opponent Dukes maintain parties of three Pokémon. Dukes that are not also members of the Elite Four will have Pokémon at level 45 if no Writ of Challenge is issued. Dukes that are also Elite Four members will have Pokémon at level 55 if no Writ of Challenge is issued.
Appearance
Dukes can appear as a Rich Boy, a Monsieur, a Butler or any of the male Elite Four members of Kalos.
