A Countess (Japanese: カウンテス Countess) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in Generation VI. This Trainer class is a title of nobility, granted in the Battle Chateau, and Trainers with this class only appear there. Countess is the third rank of nobility for females, ranking above Viscountess and below Marchioness. Its counterpart for males is Earl.

The female player character may earn the title of Countess by winning enough battles in the Battle Chateau. All opponent Countesses use parties of two Pokémon at level 25 (if no Writ of Challenge is active).

Appearance

Countesses can appear as a Lady, a Madame or a Maid.
