A Hoopster (Japanese: バスケせんしゅ Basketball Player) is a type of Trainer class introduced in Generation V. They are men who play Basketball. In Black and White, they are only found in the Small Court in Nimbasa City. In Black 2 and White 2, they can also be found near the Village Bridge along with Smashers. Hoopsters wear basketball jerseys and shorts. Their battle sprites show them with a basketball colored like a Poké Ball.
Hoopsters use Pokémon of varied types.

A Hoopster was one of the 32 Trainers seen entering the Unova Pokémon League tournament in Dream a Little Dream. In the following round, he was seen battling another participant at Victory Road. While the result of this battle is unknown, he was eventually eliminated from the tournament.
