Route 118 (Japanese: 118番道路 Route 118) is a route in central Hoenn, connecting Mauville City, Route 119, and Route 123.
In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the first time the player attempts to enter the grassy portion of the route from the eastern beach, Steven will approach the player, followed by LatiosAS or LatiasOR appearing and asking for help. The Eon Pokémon will then take the player to Southern Island.
Route description
Western segment
From Mauville, the route is straightforward, traveling directly east-west between the city limits and the west bank of the inlet. The western half of this path is composed of grassy terrain while the eastern portion is a sandy beach.
Inlet
An inlet divides the route into an east section and a west section. This inlet contains no characters.
Eastern segment
The eastern side of the inlet has a beach; Gabby and Ty are often found in the area, looking for up-and-coming Pokémon Trainers to battle and interview.
The route continues east, along a northern ledge. After passing through a large patch of grass, Route 118 comes to a three-way intersection. The northern path leads to Route 119, while the eastern path runs through another large patch of grass, before becoming Route 123.
Heading north from the intersection, a four-way intersection allows access to the upper areas that overlook the main path of Route 118. To the west is another Trainer, a small area of grass, and a soft soil patch containing two Sitrus Berry plants. To the east is yet another grass patch and a Hyper Potion. Continuing north, the path becomes Route 119.

Pokémon Adventures
Ruby & Sapphire arc
Route 118 appeared in Not So Fetching Feebas, where Ruby found himself there after having escaped from the stolen Submarine Explorer 1 using an escape pod. The current then carried him on to Route 119.
Trivia
- The music changes depending on whether the player is in the route's eastern part (where the music is Route 119) or the western part (where the music is Route 110).
- In the English versions of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, there is an oversight that causes Aroma Lady Rose to walk over a ledge the incorrect way if she sees the player on her left and walks towards them. This error does not occur in any other version of these games.
