The muddy slope at the south end of the route leads to Oreburgh City, which you can now easily return to. Now that you have a bicycle, you can go back to the basement of Oreburgh Gate for 31. Consider healing there before heading east to 207. There are quite a few Trainers here. As you try to enter Mt. Coronet's south entrance, at the eastern end of the route, Dawn or Lucas will appear and give you the Vs. Seeker, and then the Dowsing Machine app on your Pokétch. Proceed into Mt. Coronet after he/she has left.
215 is packed with Trainers and items, and the constant rainfall boosts the power of Water moves by 50% (and decreases the power of Fire moves by 50%), so this is a good place to train Water-type Pokémon. Bring a Pokémon that knows Cut - it will make travel significantly easier and will allow you to collect all the items on your way to Veilstone City. Head east a short distance, then circle around anticlockwise up and across the first bridge. Follow the path until you reach the third bridge, make a detour to fight the Black Belt to its south, then Cut your way through to another Black Belt to collect the Fist Plate and jump over the ledge. Use Cut on the tree below the next hill to harvest some Berries, then head up the hill, detour south across the fourth and final bridge. Follow the path onward collecting all the items that are of interest, making sure to Cut your way through to 34 just below the largest grassy patch.

Having arrived in Veilstone City, it's time to explore the place. Veilstone is the home of the Veilstone Department Store, Galactic Veilstone Building, the Veilstone Game Corner, and, of course, the Veilstone Gym.

In here, you'll find Cyrus ranting about perfecting the world before leaving. Just walk to the other side of this small section of Mt. Coronet, then walk out of the exit to 208. You won't be able to do anything else important here until much later in the game.
In the house directly north of the Pokémon Center lives a man willing to hand over a Porygon. Make sure you have a free slot in your party so you're able to receive it.

There are many Trainers to battle on this route. Battle them if you wish. However two of them cannot be fought until much later in the game, when you have the necessary HM. Go across the small bridge, down the stairs, and through the tall grass, and you will be at the entrance of Hearthome City.
Game Corner
The building in the southern part of the city decorated with glowing lights is the Game Corner. Here, you can collect Coins and then visit the Prize Exchange next door to get valuable items and TMs. Before you're allowed to play any games however, you'll need a Coin Case, in which your winnings are kept. Head to the next house to the west of the Game Corner. Speak to the clown inside, who'll hand over a Coin Case if you get the correct answer in his game of coin toss (you can play again whenever you get the wrong answer). In the Prize Exchange building to the east of the Game corner is a man who, if you talk to him while having a Pokémon with Hidden Power at the front of your party, will let you know what type Hidden Power's damage will be.

Massage Lady
In the house next to the house where you find the Coin Case is the Massage Lady. She'll massage one of your Pokémon once per day and also find an Accessory, which also raises the Pokémon's happiness.

Veilstone Department Store
Veilstone has a Department store instead of a conventional Poké Mart. Take the opportunity to stock up on supplies!

Also on this Route is the Berry Master's house. Each day, he will give you a fresh Berry. You may also get the Berry Searcher Pokétch app that shows where there are Berries ready to pick. You can also buy Mulch from his wife, which affects the growth of Berries.
Inside, there is a lady to the left of the entrance who will give you a mask to be put in the Fashion Case. The mask will match Lucas/Dawn's first partner Pokémon. The people at the counter on 1F sell items  found in normal Poké Marts.

Once you arrive at Hearthome City, a lost Buneary will run into you. After that, its Trainer will appear, thank you for catching her Buneary, and then suggest that you visit the Super Contest Hall. (It's the large building near the Hearthome Gym.) Once you get there, you'll find her talking to your mom. They will both talk to you about Super Contests, and leave. Then go to the front desk and talk to the woman dressed in purple. She will reveal herself as Fantina, this city's Gym Leader. Then she'll return to the Gym where you will be able to challenge her.

After that, you can take a look around the city. Next to the Pokémon Center is Bebe's house, where Sinnoh's administrator of the PC box system lives. If you talk to her and have a spare slot in your party, you can get an Eevee from her. It is at level 20, and is a Normal type. If you don't have an open slot in your party, then you can always get it later. Also, if you're into Pokémon breeding, you may consider saving your game before you receive the Eevee and resetting if it's not female, since there is an only a 12.5% chance it will be a female and otherwise, you'll have to wait until you have the National Dex to find a Ditto or another Eevee.
On 3F, you can buy TMs. 54 can be useful if you plan to complete your Pokédex, as this attack will never knock out an opponent. They also sell powerful special attacks, such as 25, 38, and 52, that can be huge upgrades to your current team.

Secret Base decorations are sold on 4F.

On 5F, a man will give you a Sticky Barb. Inexpensive healing items can be bought from the Vending Machines on this floor, too.

Also at east of the Poké Mart is the Pokémon Fan Club. Go inside and talk to the man with the hat inside. After listening to his rambles, he will give you the List of key items in Generation IV, which is essential on making Poffins. Poffins can be made in the building west of the Poké Mart, known as the Poffin House. Near the Poffin House is Mr. Goods. Although he claims he can't remember who he is or his real name, he has dedicated himself to seeking rarities. He gives goods to Trainers once they have met certain requirements. These items can be placed in the Trainer's Secret Base located in The Underground.
The basement floor sells Poffins, Berries, and Lava Cookies.

Next to the Pokémon Fan Club is the Pokémon Hotel. If you go to the second floor and talk to the woman with the Clefairy, she will give you a In-battle effect item. This item can be useful, as it heals the user by 1/8 of its max HP when it inflicts damage.
Veilstone Gym
After exploring Veilstone City, it's time for you to challenge the Gym for your fourth Badge. Before you enter the Gym, you'll encounter Professor Rowan's research assistant Lucas/Dawn, and both of you will then meet Wake, Pastoria Gym's leader, as he leaves the Gym. The Veilstone Gym Leader, Maylene, specializes in Fighting-type Pokémon, which are weak to Psychic- and Flying-type attacks, but Maylene's Lucario is also weak to Fighting-, Fire-, and Ground-type attacks. However, many Fighting-type Pokémon can learn Rock-type moves, which cover their weakness against Flying-type Pokémon, so a team with Psychic Pokémon and Ghost Pokémon is ideal here.

Amity Square
The Gym is a maze consisting of many punching bags that you must push to smash barriers made up of tires in order to open up new paths. Your key goal is to aim for the punching bag in the upper left of the Gym that destroys the barrier that will get you to Maylene.

At the northwest and northeast of the city, you can find the entrances of Amity Square, where you can find some Accessories, an In-battle effect item, 43, and 45. Since the design for Amity Square is much different from you'll need to make two trips using both entrances to get all the items. Keep in mind that you'll need a "cute" Pokémon to enter. Your starter in any of its evolutionary forms will work. Additionally, each hut contains three teleporters that can warp you to a different hut. To access them, enter the hut but stop on the tile just inside the entrance. Take a step forward, right, or left to access the hidden teleporters. It is the only way to access the area where you can obtain the Plate. A chubby man in overalls goes around Amity Square every day. To reach him, players must go through the east gate and use the teleporters. When found, he will give the player five Berries or one Accessory.
Knock the first punching bag to the right, and head up through the (now vacant) gap between the bottom right boxing ring and the support pillar. Knock the next bag north, make a quick detour into the ring to battle the First Karate Quad, then knock the bag north once more - it should end up just above and to the right of another bag. Knock this bag north, then follow it and head up and around the stack of tires at the northeast corner of the northeast boxing ring. Knock the next bag (that is just north of the northeast ring) twice to the left, then head south between the northeast ring and the benches, stopping to battle the second and third members of the Karate Quad, then head into the western portion of the Gym.

Hearthome Gym
Head northwest, fight the fourth and final member of the Karate Quad, then knock the bag next to him south once, and then once east. Next, find the bag directly south of the path between the benches and north of the southwest boxing ring. Knock this bag anticlockwise (up, left, down, then right) all the way back to its original position. This should clear the way to the southwestern-most punching bag, which can now be knocked north once and east. Head up between the benches, and knock the bag above them twice to the east, finally opening up the stairs to allow you to challenge Maylene!

Once you're done exploring the town, you can go to the Hearthome Gym, located at the northeast corner of the city. The Gym leader, Fantina, uses Ghost Pokémon, which are weak to Dark- and Ghost-type moves. Ghost-types are also immune to Normal- and Fighting-type moves, but Normal-type Pokémon are immune to Ghost-type move s as well. The design of the Gym is a dark room, using Duskull lamps to serve as walls to create a maze. These also have glowing eyes that will help you see, not counting the flashlights that every challenger has. The goal of the puzzle is to find first the blue pattern, then go to the door that has the same pattern. If you pick the wrong door, you'll find yourself back at the beginning. After the second room, you'll find Fantina and be able to fight her to earn the Relic.

Fantina and her Pokémon can be a bit of a pain, particularly her Mismagius. The most annoying one may be her lead Pokémon, her Duskull. Duskull has high defenses and may take a few hits to take down. It has Will-O-Wisp to burn you, halving the Attack stat of an affected Pokémon and making it lose 1/8 of its HP each turn. Apply Burn Heals right away. It also has Pursuit and Shadow Sneak, Pursuit doing more damage if you try to switch out and Shadow Sneak always going first, like Quick Attack. Future Sight will do damage to any Pokémon, regardless of type, after two turns. Do not forget Future Sight, as it could take you out just as you think you're winning and have low HP. Thankfully, Duskull's Attack and Special Attack aren't especially great. Her Haunter is a different story, though. It has a scary Special Attack stat with high Speed to go along, but thankfully it has no Special based attacks, and has quite low defenses. It has Shadow Claw, a Ghost type attack with a high critical hit ratio, and Sucker Punch, which will strike before you for 80 power, but only works if you are attacking in the turn. Like Duskull, Haunter's role is annoyance, and it will disrupt you with Confuse Ray before going in for Hypnosis to set you up for Fantina's Mismagius. Mismagius is a fully evolved demon, and the worst thing about it is that it is packing Shadow Ball, a powerful Ghost-type attack that uses Mismagius' high Sp. Atk to deal the damage. Not good! It also has Psybeam and Magical Leaf backing it up, with Confuse Ray to disrupt as well. Staravia would do well here as it is immune to Shadow Ball and its typing halves the damage from Magical Leaf. Also, a lot of Pokémon, including Shinx and Turtwig's evolutions, learn Bite, a good Dark-type attack.
Maylene leads with her Meditite, which can use Fake Out on its first turn in battle to force your Pokémon to flinch and deal some damage. A quick Flying like Staravia using Wing Attack or Aerial Ace will take it out before it can use Rock Tomb to counter your Flying-type, but a Ghost is ideal as it will take little damage from Meditite's moves. Her Machoke is more offensive but should not be too difficult to beat though it can also counter Flying types with Rock Tomb, a Psychic or Ghost Pokémon will do will here too. Last up is Lucario, Maylene's star Pokémon. It has a variety of attacks, but nothing too rough. Its Steel makes it only take regular damage from Flying and Psychic but adds weaknesses to Fire, Fighting, and Ground. Two of them are conveniently exploited by attacks sold at the Department Store, but Lucario can counter Fire-types with Bone Rush. Be careful of her Gym's signature move Drain Punch, which heals her Pokémon by 50% of the damage dealt with it, so try not to get into a war of attrition. Maylene will use Hyper Potions when her Pokémon get weak, so try to finish them off without dropping their HP to below 20% (when the HP bar turns red).

Once Fantina is defeated, she gives you the Relic Badge and 65. You can now use Defog, which will come in handy later on 210.
After you defeat her, she'll hand over the Cobble Badge, explaining that it'll allow you use 02 outside of battle, and that traded Pokémon up to level 50 will obey you without question, along with 60.

Now having earned your Relic Badge, you've now done all there is to do in Hearthome. Now's it's time for you to move on to 209. Since you can now purchase Poké Balls from Poké Marts due to having obtained three Badges, it is recommended you start using them in place of the regular Poké Balls. As you enter the guardpost that separates Hearthome City from Route 209, you'll encounter Barry there who will challenge you to another battle.

This time around he'll have two out of three new Pokémon that represent the types of the Starter Pokémon that he didn't pick at the beginning of the game: Roselia if he didn't get Turtwig, Ponyta if he didn't get Chimchar, or Buizel if he didn't get Piplup. Also his starter Pokémon as well as Starly have now evolved. He shouldn't be that tough if you have a good team since your selection of Pokémon is much greater than it was last time.
Upon defeat, the grunts give back the Pokédex and flee. Looker then shows up, having heard of the robbery, and is glad you were able to handle the situation. After your partner leaves, Looker guides you into the warehouse. Inside he finds that the door is locked and states there is nothing he can do now. He does find 02 however, which you should pick up. Before leaving, Looker mentions a rumor of Team Galactic moving something important to Pastoria City. There's nothing else of importance to do in Veilstone (for now), so it's time to head south to Pastoria, after healing up at the Pokémon Center if necessary. To get to Pastoria, you must enter the east gate through 214.

From the entrance, go east, then north to travel directly to Solaceon Town. On this route, there is the Broken Tower which becomes the Hallowed Tower when an Odd Keystone (available from a Black Belt on 208, hidden in Twinleaf Town, or mine-able in the Sinnoh Underground) is placed in it. After speaking to 32 people in the Underground, a level 25 Spiritomb will appear to battle you. You will pass the Lost Tower near the end of the route but unlike you will need to get 05 first for dealing with the fog on the higher floors. Fortunately, the HM for Defog is not that far away from here. Follow the path north to reach Solaceon Town.

Route 215

Route 215

Route 215 is packed with Trainers and items, and the constant rainfall boosts the power of Water-type moves by 50% (and decreases the power of Fire-type moves by 50%), so this is a good place to train Water-type Pokémon. Follow the path onward collecting all the items that are of interest, making sure to Cut your way through to TM34 (Shock Wave) just below the largest grassy patch.

Veilstone City

Veilstone City

Having arrived in Veilstone City, it's time to explore the place. Veilstone is the home of the Veilstone Department Store, Galactic Veilstone Building, the Veilstone Game Corner, and, of course, the Veilstone Gym.

In the house directly north of the Pokémon Center lives a man willing to hand over a Porygon. Make sure you have a free slot in your party so you're able to receive it.

A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here.

Inside, there is a lady to the left of the entrance who will give you a mask to be put in the Fashion Case. The mask will match Lucas/Dawn's first partner Pokémon. The people at the counter on 1F sell items found in normal Poké Marts.

A man behind the counter on 2F will give you the Counter Pokétch app. Battle items and vitamins are sold here as well.

On 3F, you can buy TMs. TM54 (False Swipe) can be useful if you plan to complete your Pokédex, as this attack will never knock out an opponent. They also sell powerful special attacks, such as TM25 (Thunder), TM38 (Fire Blast), and TM52 (Focus Blast), that can be huge upgrades to your current team.

Secret Base decorations are sold on 4F.

On 5F, a man will give you a Sticky Barb. Inexpensive healing items can be bought from the Vending Machines on this floor, too.

Veilstone Gym

The Gym is a maze consisting of many punching bags that you must push to smash barriers made up of tires in order to open up new paths. Your key goal is to aim for the punching bag in the upper left of the Gym that destroys the barrier that will get you to Maylene.

Maylene leads with her Meditite, which can use Fake Out on its first turn in battle to force your Pokémon to flinch and deal some damage. A quick Flying-type like Staravia using Wing Attack or Aerial Ace will take it out before it can use Rock Tomb to counter your Flying-type-type, but a Ghost-type is ideal as it will take little damage from Meditite's moves. Its Steel-type makes it only take regular damage from Flying and Psychic but adds weaknesses to Fire, Fighting, and Ground. Two of them are conveniently exploited by attacks sold at the Department Store, but Lucario can counter Fire-type-types with Bone Rush.

After you defeat her, she'll hand over the Cobble Badge, explaining that it'll allow you use HM02 (Fly) outside of battle, and that traded Pokémon up to level 50 will obey you without question, along with TM60 (Drain Punch).

Veilstone City

As you leave the Gym, Professor Rowan's assistant Lucas/Dawn comes up to you and tells you that their Pokédex has been stolen. Heal up at the Pokémon Center, then head over to the Galactic Warehouse to find two male Team Galactic Grunts. Challenge the two to a Multi Battle with Lucas/Dawn.

He does find HM02 (Fly) however, which you should pick up. Before leaving, Looker mentions a rumor of Team Galactic moving something important to Pastoria City. There's nothing else of importance to do in Veilstone (for now), so it's time to head south to Pastoria, after healing up at the Pokémon Center if necessary. To get to Pastoria, you must enter the east gate through Route 214.
