Hey, i'm new too! Thank you very much for your comments, knowing me i'll buy Pearl... Do we have reviews on here? On my wiki, Simpedia, we have reviews for all The Sims 2 Expansion Packs, etc. Again, thanks for your comments and i'm a Wikiholic too, I'm Celticfan383 on [http://en.wikipedia.org Wikipedia] and Nathan, my real name, on [http://simpedia.co.uk Simpedia], our Simpedia server is awful so unless you can suggest a good free server, we're stuck with it, just keep refreshing, lol! :Let me know your friend code if and when you get Pearl! Mine's on my userpage, of course. And no, I don't think there are any reviews here. But finding an actual review shouldn't be hard (Neoseeker.com is a good place to start, off the top of my head).

:Hehe, I play Sims 2... not very often anymore, but I'm still a big fan of the game (too bad it doesn't work on my laptop... my laptop's widescreen, and setting the Sims to play in 1280x768 resolution only affects the UI, not to mention the lack of a mouse wheel gets in the way).
:But hey, if you've ever got any more questions about D/P, let me know. -- [[user:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">'''J'''ioruji '''D'''erako.'''>'''</font>]] 01:48, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
::Heh! The Sims Stories was designed directly for Laptops... Anyway, i'd like to know, what are the 3 starter pokémon and what are their types? [[User:Celticfan383|¡иąтнąи!]] | [[User_talk:Celticfan383|Talk]] | [mailto:nathan@simpedia.co.uk Email]| 18:43, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
:::Hmm, Sims Stories? I'll have to take a look at that one, perhaps.
:::Alright, starters... I've got a sortable PokéDex on my [[User:Jioruji Derako/Start Page#Sortable PokéDex|Start page]], just check the Sinnoh section. It's sorted by number by default, so they'll be the top nine Pokémon on the list. Just to note, the Water-starter seems to be popular thanks to the secondary type it gains at the final evolution... I've run into a few of them on the Wi-Fi Battle Tower. Pain in the ass to get rid of those guys... -- [[user:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">'''J'''ioruji '''D'''erako.'''>'''</font>]] 01:38, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
::::Just so you know, i always pick the water type! ;P [[User:Celticfan383|¡иąтнąи!]] | [[User_talk:Celticfan383|Talk]] | [mailto:nathan@simpedia.co.uk Email]| 18:52, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
:::::Hehe, and I normally pick up the first Dark or Electric-type I find. I've got a level 63 {{p|Luxray}} now. (I got the Grass-type as my starter, but didn't level him up as much.)
:::::The Water-type in this game is pretty good, though! With that Steel-type as well, it completely mixes up all the weaknesses and strengths. Cancels out a lot of Water's biggest problems (adds some new problems, but that's still a good thing). -- [[user:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">'''J'''ioruji '''D'''erako.'''>'''</font>]] 18:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Just saying hi, PvX is slow, not moving atm, and I actually enjoy playing these games sometimes :). I stopped playing about a year ago, as I get seriously addicted to games (ex:Guild Wars ;). Owned 2 Blue Versions, 1 Yellow (All lost but one Blue :P), 1 Gold, 1 Silver (Brother's now), 1 Crystal (Lost :(), Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald...wondering if I should get Pearl or Diamond, or just break the habit entirely? Tbh...I have spent over 3000+ hours playing these damn games :P. Fun tho. On another note, if I do get the game, I will not get all 3 starts in one game (as I have done the past, what? 7 games O.o...nor level 100 :P. I am the Zerris of Pokemon is appears! lolol) So what do you think of this set :) (favorite types ground, Steel, and Dragon)

:Nooo! I finally find a wiki without you on it, and bam! There you are! At least I still have a few more websites to hang out on. *counts on hand and runs out of fingers* :P
Moldy Orange and TTEchinda are both getting on my nerves and harassing me, not to mention having conversation about me in a disrespectful and unadmin like way. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User_talk:PAK_Man#You_know Plus this here http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User_talk:TTEchidna#Moldy.2C_psychic_rider_andTakoto What does my religion or lack of have to do with anything. These editors and admins are being disrespectful, uncivil and not doing their jobs and abusing and intimidating others with their power. [[User:Yami Takashi|Yami]] 20:37, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
:Anyways, never realized you played Pokémon... breaking habits sucks. Just buy the friggin' game, man. Then you can go on WiFi and get your ass kicked by Auron! (trust me, it's fun!) Can't say which is better, Pearl or Diamond... the only big difference is the legendary, {{p|Palkia}} or {{p|Dialga}}. There's a few other differences as well, but just a few Pokémon (such as {{p|Misdreavus}} in Pearl, and {{p|Murkrow}} in Diamond).
:And just so you know, it's uber-easy to get all three starters in these games. GTS FTW! ...that's the Global Trade Center. Basically, you put a Pokémon up for trade, specify what you want in return, then wait. A day or so later, somebody's traded with you from across the world... I bred my grass starter, put a baby up for trade, and got a baby water starter next time I went on the game. And my brother has the fire starter, so I'll probably make him breed it. Of course, I've got tons of extra baby starters now, so if you want any, send me a WiFi friend code and I can trade some to ya.

:Alright, the team looks pretty sweet, by the way. Garchomp makes for a 1337 quaker... Torterra's a nice one as well, what with Synthesis for healing and Solarbeam for attack. The rest look nice as well. And {{p|Camerupt}} is get-able in D/P as well, as far as I know... you might need to trade it over from R/S/E, but it's in there. Might I suggest checking my [[User:Jioruji Derako/Start Page#Sortable PokéDex|Sortable PokéDex]]? 'Tis quite useful for team creation. I still haven't added the Hoenn PokéDex yet, though. -- [[user:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">'''J'''ioruji '''D'''erako.'''>'''</font>]] 07:29, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
:Oh, wow. Is this whole thing still going on? Listen. Everyone brought up their points politely to you, at first. ''You'' are the one who not only continued each discussion, but accused the other editors of "harassing" you over each point. [[User talk:Yami Takashi#Porygon/2/-Z's Body Types]] is one example. Both Porygon-Z and Moldy Orange stated the facts on the topic; we reference the games themselves for body type information, capitalize Pokémon properly, and so on. Your response was that you "don't care if it's a capital P", and to "stop bothering me". Trying to help out is all fine and dandy, but you've got to know when to listen to other people's opinions (or facts) when they present them.
:If you post anything on a wiki, anyone is allowed to contribute. This includes conversations; if you have to tell people that they "have no place in it", then perhaps you should be holding the conversation in a more... I dunno, private space. E-mail, instant message.
:Look. If you really believe that the users here are ganging up on you, trolling and flaming, then be mature about it. Don't reply to insulting comments, bring it up with another user if you must. If you believe a comment to be insulting, then don't dignify it with a response. Otherwise, when an argument is the end result, it's as much your fault as the other participants.
:Drop the topic(s), stop talking with the people you think are biased against you. A social "time out", so to speak. I'm trying to be a unbiased third-party here, but if you continue these discussions the way you have been, I don't think I can stay unbiased on the subject. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 22:44, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

::Anyway, you know how to customize your signature? It's up in [[special:preferences|your Preferences]], the "nickname" field. == Signature related thing ==

I figured out that you are the signature-policy enforcer of Bulbapedia. This means you are one of the best at wiki-coding. I'm happy with my signature, but ''really'' need some help about my userpage. I want the "Things about me" section to have a [[Template:Fire color|background]]. Also, it would be nice if I could change the background color of the table about my favorite Pokémon. Can it be done? One more thing. How can I change the picture of my shiny unown to shiny unown-c?--'''[[User:Diby|<span style="color:#6890F0;">D</span><span style="color:#F08030;">i</span>]]'''[[User talk:Diby|<span style="color:#78C850;">b</span>]][[Special:Contributions/Diby|<span style="color:#F8D030;">y</span>]] 11:03, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
:Wouldn't say I'm among the best here, but I've got a pretty good handle on coding...
:Alright, the "things about me" section already has a background, actually. However, the "" marks are cutting the coding off so it won't work. I'll fix that myself in a moment.
:The background on your favorite Pokémon should work the same; I'll set it up with a Fire-color background, it should be easy for you to see where to change the color once the coding's in place.
:As for the shiny Unown... I took a look around, and it actually doesn't seem like there ''is'' a sprite for the shiny Unown-C. There's an older sprite, however, but since the filename's different, you'd need to make the userbox from scratch to display it. Not sure if you'd want to do that. If we had a shiny Unown-C sprite uploaded, you would be able to display it simply by using 201C instead of just 201. Maybe TTE knows where we can find those missing sprites (or if they're already up, and hidden somewhere I can't find them). --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 19:03, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I'm new to this site, and was wondering if I could use your user page design for mine? I admire how it blends in with the whole green theme of the wiki, and wanted to use it also. And yes, I know the policy in which you can only edit in your own userspace only 3 times a day at the max. By the way, since you do are the "head" of the signature policy, is my signature okay? Thanks, &ndash; <font color="#237d00" face="cursive">[[User:RyanCross|'''Ryan'''Cross]]</font> (<font color="#237d00" face="cursive">[[User talk:RyanCross|''talk'']]</font>) 03:53, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

::Hmm, I prefer people copy the coding and modify it to fit their own personal style; keeps my layout a little unique, you see. So if you're going to copy the layout, I'd appreciate it if you added a bit of your own style to it...
::But I'm fine if you want to copy the layout coding, either way. I'm assuming you already know how to just use Show Preview when you're setting up, so you don't need to make as many edits. :D
::I let people "steal" the user talk header, that's not a big deal to me. I'm actually debating making that into a customizable template, so it can be more easily stolen, hehe. So feel free to copy as much of that as you like, as well.
::And yes, the signature's spot-on too. Oh, but the one difference between font and span tags, the font tags actually need to be ''inside'' the brackets if you're coloring a link. I noticed it's setting the color to green, but the signature's the default blue anyway... my signature's a good example of the coding. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 03:39, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
:::Hehe... and on that note, I didn't even realize my layout fit the BP color theme so well. == Signature question ==

As far as I know, you seem to be the authority on siggies, so... I was trying to have links to my talk and contrib pages in my sig. I found the User template, tried to siggify it, and it doesn't work. Is there a way to make it work, or do I just put the links in in HTML? [[User:HikariTajiri|HikariTajiri]] 20:20, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
:Yeh, the user template won't let you customize the result. You'll need to code it yourself, and just make sure that you have Raw Signatures checked in your preferences. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 20:42, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I tried doing it in HTML, with the raw box checked, to no avail. Is there another sort of code I need to use? [[User:HikariTajiri|HikariTajiri]] 17:22, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

:Hmm. Could you post the signature coding you're trying to use here? Perhaps it's something in the code that's messing it up. I've found MediaWiki to occasionally be a little picky about some signature coding, especially when you're linking to user contributions. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 18:37, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

I put that in to test if it'd work, as a sort of basic sig for myself. What've I messed up? I'm pretty rubbish at this kind of thing, TBH. xD [[User:HikariTajiri|HikariTajiri]] 16:28, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

:Ah, I see. That's forum coding, not wiki-coding. Try this:
:<code><nowiki>[[User:HikariTajiri|HikariTajiri]] [[User talk:HikariTajiri|call my pokégear?]]</nowiki></code>
:That should look like this when it's inputted: [[User:HikariTajiri|HikariTajiri]] [[User talk:HikariTajiri|call my pokégear?]]
:You can also add colors or formatting, so long as it's within the link display, not the link target. (before the pipe | is the link target, afterwards is what it actually shows.) So if you wanted the talk link to be smaller perhaps, you would do <code><nowiki>[[User talk:HikariTajiri|<small>call my pokégear?</small>]]</nowiki></code> as the coding.
:I'd suggest looking at some other user's signatures too, just to see the coding they use. My signature is a good example of coloring links, as are a bunch of other user's signatures. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 02:50, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

As a man who has been forming strategies for months and only recently "finalizing" [[User:SharKing/Wi-Fi Team|my team]], I commend your Pokémon collection.

One tip, though. On {{p|Lucario|Auros}}, {{m|Flash Cannon}} is pretty much useless. It's only super-effective against {{t|Rock}} and {{t|Ice}}, and {{m|Aura Sphere}} covers {{t|Dark|that}} {{t|Normal|and}} {{t|Steel|more}}. I suggest {{m|Psychic}} or {{m|Dragon Pulse}}. Could we get a small change to this link template? A fair number of Ash's Pokémon have evolved, but in episode articles & such, we need to display the name of an earlier part of its evolutionary tree. We also like to avoid linking to redirects whenever possible. Could the code of the template be changed to <code><nowiki>[[Ash's {{{2|{{{1}}}}}}|{{{1}}}]]</nowiki></code>. If the template is changed to this, all previous versions should still work as always, but the added 2 variable should allow linking to {{AP|Sceptile}} while displaying Treecko, or Grovyle. - [[User:Kogoro|<span style="color:#DA70D6;">'''Kogoro'''</span>]] '''|''' [[User talk:Kogoro|<span style="color:#FFB6C1;">'''Talk to me'''</span>]] '''|''' 10:17, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

I asked if we could remove it and he siad he couldnt be bothered. Please, I know im not a frequent contributor and i do a lot of talking, but please dont allow him to keep making these nasty snidey comments. I really wanna help BP, so when he says stuff like change for the worst guy, it hurts. Also this is subjective, what I find offensive you might not, where do we set the line, I asked him nicely, I was very civil with it, I just asked to please have my name removed from a list, and he said he couldnt be bothered.

Please, it upsets me when people are making comments about me, and I cant even get rid of them, its bullying, it may not be 1 big insult like MOTHER FUCKER, but we learnt bullying psychology in school 2 weeks ago, and the bully breaks his attacks into smaller bits to go un noticed by authority, and thats what hes doing, cos he makes loads of these nasty comments to me, but others consider them small. But they build up, and it hurts inside.

Im not asking for heads to roll, or for him to be banned, I just would like permision to remove the comment, or have it removed by someone else, and for the staff to pay a bit more attention to what he does to me. --[[User:Guardian|<font color="#0000FF">Guardian</font>]][[Special:Contributions/Guardian|<font color="#FFFF00"> of</font>]][[User talk:Guardian|<font color="#FF0000"> Earth</font>]] |[[GSDS|<font color="#00FF00">SGMS 2010</font>]]

:TTE put up a pretty good response on his talk page already. Currently, I don't think we're really in need of more sysops, but more people with level heads are always good. You've probably already seen some of the drama that pops up around here, most of that doesn't require sysop tools to fix (or attempt to fix). And if you do run into something that does require sysop tools, I'd suggest grabbing everyone's AIM screennames and using that to let people know what needs to be done (if you don't have AIM, you can actually just use [http://www.aim.com/aimexpress.adp AIM Express], so you don't need to download anything). --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 16:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

:Alright, let me get a chance to respond too, eh guys? =P
:Wasn't trying to be critical of you or anything, ALJ. Just letting you know some of the rules; you joined so long ago, you never got the current "Welcome" message, and you probably haven't had a chance to see most of the more recent ones.. You can't learn the rules if nobody tells you about them, right? Would you prefer nobody warned you at all, just wrote down a personal list of your "rule breaks", then banned you when you hit the correct number of times? (there isn't an official number for that, by the way, just using an example.)
:Relax. I've broken way worse rules then you have when I first joined various wikis, and I'm sysop on all of them, so far. Nobody's saying you're a horrible editor and you should leave, we're just letting you know what the rules are so you have the opportunity to follow them.
:I apologize if me or any of my fellow sysops have come across as, well, dicks; we often end up warning tons of users for really minor things all the time, and it's hard to be personal when you're warning a new user for a mistake that everyone else has made too. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 22:01, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

::::But look [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Minor_edit here.] It explains what mostly can be a minor edit (and what is never a minor edit), and I stick with what it says there. :::::Most of the edits I generally make are minor ones; fixing grammar/spelling, re-coding, cleanup stuff. It's tough for me to remember to uncheck the box for the rare times I do make a "normal" edit. If the majority of my edits weren't minor cleanup, I'd simply turn off the "mark all edits as minor" option, and perhaps remember to mark smaller edits as minor more often. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 03:19, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

:::::::Well, that one's up to personal interpretation. I don't believe that talk page edits are ever major, being mere discussion on the article, never actually changes to the article (although I suppose others may view this differently).
:::::::And like I mentioned before, all my edits are, by default, set as minor, so once again, unless I'm actively remembering to un-mark before I save the page, talk page edits will be marked as minor. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 04:22, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

{{Indent}} Talk page edits may not change an article, but they do change the talk page. If you add a 500 character comment to a talk page, people will definitely see the talk page differently, and I don't think that something like that should be considered minor. :Forgot this was here.
:My point still stands that a talk page edit's status is dependent on the viewpoint; I don't see talk page edits as contributions to the wiki, but discussion (yes, often discussion ''about'' contributions, but rarely actual contributions in and of themselves). If I were to decide that I only needed to watch major edits, then I wouldn't want to have to sift through lots of tiny minor ones; I also probably wouldn't want to sift through tons of user, user talk, and talk page edits, either. I assume the same of other editors as well, which is why I mark my edits as minor all the time, especially those to my own userspace, and talk page edits. (unless someone is actually talking with me, like here, then they generally don't ''need'' to see every edit I make.)
:...that is, of course, assuming that anyone does actually disable minor edits in their watchlist. I personally never do; vandals don't care about how big their edit was, and even tiny edits can be wrong, so I treat them all the same. It's just how I look at such things. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 23:51, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

::But the fact is, talk page edits that add a comment will change what someone would see on the talk page. That's one of the many reasons why I don't think they can be minor. [[User:Chocolate|<font color="6D351A">Chocolate</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Chocolate|<font color="6D351A">Chat with Me</font>]])</small> 00:49, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

:::Nearly all edits to anything will have an effect on the appearance of the article; by that logic, fixing a broken table code also wouldn't be considered minor, even though it is a tiny edit. --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 00:53, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

::::Well, that's different. Something I consider minor is something such as changing "<nowiki>a [[Starly (Pokémon)|bird]] to [[Starly (Pokémon)|a bird]]</nowiki>", since it won't change what someone will see when they view the page. Adding a talk page comment will. [[User:Chocolate|<font color="6D351A">Chocolate</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Chocolate|<font color="6D351A">Chat with Me</font>]])</small> 00:56, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

:::::And on that subject, we merely have different opinions. I personally consider any edit that doesn't directly add new information to the wiki to be minor, and think that discussion edits count as minor for that reason.
:::::If there's a consensus otherwise, I can attempt to change my editing habit, perhaps. But as it is, I don't think many editors here really pay attention to the status of an edit, and a good number probably don't even know what the minor edit box even does. Which is why I generally don't bother with the subject (if we had half as many edits per day as Wikipedia, then I might be more inclined to use the feature). --[[user:Jioruji_Derako|<font color="#237d00"> '''J'''ïörüjï '''Ð'''ērākō.'''>'''</font>]]<small>[[user talk:Jioruji Derako|<font color="#237d00">''.cнаt'''''^'''</font>]]</small> 01:02, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Please tell your fellow admins to back off

Yami 20:37, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, wow. Is this whole thing still going on? Listen. Everyone brought up their points politely to you, at first. You are the one who not only continued each discussion, but accused the other editors of "harassing" you over each point. User talk:Yami Takashi#Porygon/2/-Z's Body Types is one example.
If you post anything on a wiki, anyone is allowed to contribute. This includes conversations; if you have to tell people that they "have no place in it", then perhaps you should be holding the conversation in a more... I dunno, private space. E-mail, instant message.
Look.
Drop the topic(s), stop talking with the people you think are biased against you. A social "time out", so to speak. I'm trying to be a unbiased third-party here, but if you continue these discussions the way you have been, I don't think I can stay unbiased on the subject. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:44, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Like Kuki pointed out, can't help you with the sprites. I'm pretty handy with "interesting" though. What did you have in mind? Anything in particular (favorite Pokémon colors, etc)? *checked your userpage*
--RexRacer \⁄/⁄-talk
Quilava colors, perhaps. (bad attempt at flames on the end there, but the colors match.)
Anyway, you know how to customize your signature? It's up in your Preferences, the "nickname" field. If you check the box that says "raw signatures", then it'll let you add coding in there (but it won't automatically link back to your userpage, so you'll need to make sure there's a link in your coding). If it's unchecked, then it'll try to automatically link anything you put there, but it'll mess up any code you try to use (like colored text). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:15, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
I went looked through it and came out with this-
RexRacer
Problem is, I dunno how the 'Racer' part got so big. I went through the code... but I don't see anything that should make it like that. I'm aware that this text is big and orange after I capped off the font... Help?
You needed to close the <font> tags; that means using a slash </font>. That's why it was carrying the color across everything else.
Aside from that, I don't see any size problems... could it have been a glitch in your browser? (maybe it didn't like the unclosed font tags.) The coding seems fine from this end now. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 12:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Wouldn't say I'm among the best here, but I've got a pretty good handle on coding...
Alright, the "things about me" section already has a background, actually. However, the "" marks are cutting the coding off so it won't work. I'll fix that myself in a moment.
The background on your favorite Pokémon should work the same; I'll set it up with a Fire-color background, it should be easy for you to see where to change the color once the coding's in place.
As for the shiny Unown... I took a look around, and it actually doesn't seem like there is a sprite for the shiny Unown-C. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:03, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

User page

Thanks, – RyanCross (talk) 03:53, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

That's fast. It is okay, by the way. As for the userpage, everyone stole the tables off Jio so...good luck with that. =D Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links
Hmm, I prefer people copy the coding and modify it to fit their own personal style; keeps my layout a little unique, you see. So if you're going to copy the layout, I'd appreciate it if you added a bit of your own style to it...
But I'm fine if you want to copy the layout coding, either way. I'm assuming you already know how to just use Show Preview when you're setting up, so you don't need to make as many edits. :D
I let people "steal" the user talk header, that's not a big deal to me. I'm actually debating making that into a customizable template, so it can be more easily stolen, hehe. So feel free to copy as much of that as you like, as well.
And yes, the signature's spot-on too. Oh, but the one difference between font and span tags, the font tags actually need to be inside the brackets if you're coloring a link. I noticed it's setting the color to green, but the signature's the default blue anyway... my signature's a good example of the coding. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:39, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Hehe... and on that note, I didn't even realize my layout fit the BP color theme so well. The green is just my default color scheme. :P -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:42, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Okay, thanks! :) I couldn't really think how to make it unique in my own style... so I just changed the top header into a "Welcome to RyanCross' user page". I hope that's good enough for now. I design user pages over at Wikipedia, so I would probably find something else unique for myself to add sooner or later. – RyanCross (talk) 03:52, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Signature question

As far as I know, you seem to be the authority on siggies, so... I was trying to have links to my talk and contrib pages in my sig. I found the User template, tried to siggify it, and it doesn't work. Is there a way to make it work, or do I just put the links in in HTML? HikariTajiri 20:20, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Yeh, the user template won't let you customize the result. You'll need to code it yourself, and just make sure that you have Raw Signatures checked in your preferences. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:42, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

I tried doing it in HTML, with the raw box checked, to no avail. Is there another sort of code I need to use? HikariTajiri 17:22, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Hmm. Could you post the signature coding you're trying to use here? Perhaps it's something in the code that's messing it up. I've found MediaWiki to occasionally be a little picky about some signature coding, especially when you're linking to user contributions. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 18:37, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

<a href="http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:HikariTajiri>HikariTajiri</a> <a href="http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User talk:HikariTajiri">call my pokégear?</a> I put that in to test if it'd work, as a sort of basic sig for myself. What've I messed up? I'm pretty rubbish at this kind of thing, TBH. xD HikariTajiri 16:28, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I see. That's forum coding, not wiki-coding. Try this:
[[User:HikariTajiri|HikariTajiri]] [[User talk:HikariTajiri|call my pokégear?]]
That should look like this when it's inputted: HikariTajiri call my pokégear?
You can also add colors or formatting, so long as it's within the link display, not the link target. (before the pipe | is the link target, afterwards is what it actually shows.) So if you wanted the talk link to be smaller perhaps, you would do [[User talk:HikariTajiri|<small>call my pokégear?</small>]] as the coding.
I'd suggest looking at some other user's signatures too, just to see the coding they use. My signature is a good example of coloring links, as are a bunch of other user's signatures. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:50, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

--DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits)) 20:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Seems good to me. Within the 80-character limit, links to at least your userpage, reflects your username, doesn't use
line breaks,
and it doesn't seem to be using any templates. And the "curse word" in there is censored, the only way it's offensive is if the reader already knows the word, in which case they're probably old enough to handle it. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:51, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Nice Pokes!

As a man who has been forming strategies for months and only recently "finalizing" my team, I commend your Pokémon collection.

One tip, though. On Auros, Flash Cannon is pretty much useless. It's only super-effective against Rock and Ice, and Aura Sphere covers that and more. I suggest Psychic or Dragon Pulse. SharKing ((Talk to the King!)) 04:18, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, I actually forget exactly why I picked Flash Cannon. Mainly for the STAB, I believe, and because there's very little it's ineffective against. But yes, Dragon Pulse or the like is better choice. I haven't really messed about with my team in quite a while, but if I give them a rework, I'll probably swap in a move that hits bigger threats, yeh. :D -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 06:02, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Template:AP

Could we get a small change to this link template? A fair number of Ash's Pokémon have evolved, but in episode articles & such, we need to display the name of an earlier part of its evolutionary tree. We also like to avoid linking to redirects whenever possible. Could the code of the template be changed to [[Ash's {{{2|{{{1}}}}}}|{{{1}}}]]. If the template is changed to this, all previous versions should still work as always, but the added 2 variable should allow linking to Sceptile while displaying Treecko, or Grovyle. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 10:17, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Similar code would also work on Template:TP, if the code is changed to, [[{{{1}}}'s {{{3|{{{2}}}}}}|{{{2}}}]]. Allowing for links to Politoed, but displaying Poliwag or Poliwhirl ^_^ - Kogoro | Talk to me | 11:01, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Clever. I've updated both templates with the coding. Nothing broken that was already there, and the templates work with the new functionality. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 13:47, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

User Page

Hello, i'm not new. i'm just an idiot who doesn't know how to make a pretty user page. where do people get those banners that say stuff like "this user plays pearl" or "this user uses an action reply"? i don't know much wikicoding. just enough to make some edits that i learned from the bulbapedia manual of style. i know it's annoying, but if you could help just to get me started with making a user page, that would be super. --いぬみみ 02:56, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

I shall assist! Look here. Then click on any of the subcategories to look at all the tags there. To use one of the tags, simply type this: {{User (whatever the rest is)}}. For instance, to get this tag, you'd type in this: {{User Liberal}}. Get it? --ニョロトノ666 03:07, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Pretty much what Poli said there. Another suggestion is to simply hit the edit tab on my page, or someone else's, and look at the coding there. (I'd actually suggest another person's userpage, since mine is a horrifying jumble of coding, as opposed to most other people.)
Oh, and Poli, don't forget, when you link to categories, you need to stick a : in the front of the link (inside the brackets), otherwise it just adds the current page to the category instead of actually linking. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:44, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

He keeps on insulting me. He's one of three users that make my life on here hell. Please, he constanlty makes these little digs at me.

--Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

It's criticism, not an insult. You have openly criticized others before, why does it suddenly bother you that one person made such a tiny comment about you? If I remember correctly, Opti even shortened his comment about you. People have criticized me before, that doesn't make me a horrible person. You can either take the critic seriously, and try to improve yourself, or take it as simple jabbing, and ignore it. But don't turn it into a big deal because you want no bad feedback listed anywhere. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:59, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Well i have critisised someone before Im very sorry, I didnt realise it hurt the victim this much, if I have critisised anyone who reads this please tell me where i said it so i can remove it, i didnt mean to upset you.

Please Jirouji, i didnt know it uspet people like this, please may i have permision to remove this one comment. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

Really, it's not a horrible comment that Opti has up there; he simply believes you often try to help and end up making things worse. I can't go right ahead and pull that off his page because you dislike the criticism, that would be an abuse of power on my end. Really, this is between you and Opti. It's not actively hurting you away on Opti's page like that (it's not like he's the most popular guy on the wiki and everyone watches his page), if he wants to say his opinion, that's his right. Just as it's your right to ask him to remove it. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:25, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

"This user is an elitist jerk."

Really? You don't seem like any kind of jerk to me. Chocolate((Talk to Me|Look at My Contributions)) 22:14, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

In that particular context, I refer to gaming. I'm generally happy to help out newbies in all sorts of things, but that doesn't stop me from looking down upon most of them. Which is rather elitist of me, to believe I'm better then they are. Which also makes me a bit of a jerk.

TTE put up a pretty good response on his talk page already. Currently, I don't think we're really in need of more sysops, but more people with level heads are always good. You've probably already seen some of the drama that pops up around here, most of that doesn't require sysop tools to fix (or attempt to fix). And if you do run into something that does require sysop tools, I'd suggest grabbing everyone's AIM screennames and using that to let people know what needs to be done (if you don't have AIM, you can actually just use AIM Express, so you don't need to download anything). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

As I looked at your contributions, I found nothing really wrong in what you had edited to the mainspace, when it comes to the information. In the other hand, it is clear that you hadn't read the welcome message completely through or the pages in which it linked to, since you for example removed comments from your talk page. No one would have criticized you if you hadn't broken the rules you should have read in the first place. Wasn't trying to be critical of you or anything, ALJ.
Relax. I've broken way worse rules then you have when I first joined various wikis, and I'm sysop on all of them, so far. Nobody's saying you're a horrible editor and you should leave, we're just letting you know what the rules are so you have the opportunity to follow them.
I apologize if me or any of my fellow sysops have come across as, well, dicks; we often end up warning tons of users for really minor things all the time, and it's hard to be personal when you're warning a new user for a mistake that everyone else has made too. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:01, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

(ALJ123456 15:49, 8 December 2008 (UTC))

Glad it's all sorted out. And the stub template may be removed by anyone if that is necessary (i.e. you may remove a stub template from an anime episode article if it has all required character data, episode data and synopsis). UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 20:31, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
yes, like Ultimate said, anyone is allowed to remove a stub tag, providing the article meets all the requirements as per the Manual of style.
As for work, the "Ongoing Work" section of the main page is a good spot to start, if you're not sure where to find those sorts of articles. Most incomplete articles are categorized, so it's not hard to find something to work on if you check those. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:33, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Articles needing Party Template

I checked the page and all of the pages listed have party templates, if im correct in thinking that a party template is

{|border="1" style="border: 1px solid #000; border-collapse: collapse;" width=300px cellspacing="0" | align=center | [[Image:025.png]]<br>{{AP|Pikachu}} | align=center | [[Image:396.png]]→[[Image:397.png]]<br>[[Ash's Staravia|Starly → Staravia]] |- | align=center | [[Image:390.png]]<br>{{AP|Chimchar}} | align=center | [[Image:387.png]]→[[Image:388.png]]<br>[[Ash's Grotle|Turtwig → Grotle]] |- | align=center | [[Image:418.png]]<br>{{AP|Buizel}} | align=center | [[Image:207.png]]→[[Image:472.png]]<br>[[Ash's Gliscor|Gligar → Gliscor]] |} C R E S T ☆

Hmm, you are correct, that is a party template.
Not all of the pages have everything templated, for example, Area Leader is missing a few for Double Battles, it seems, and there are others without templates at all. But check the page, if it looks like everything that should be templated is, then you can probably remove the category. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:49, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

It's no big deal, I deleted it already. If you want to show off things you like, like Dragonbeast's page, then that's fine on your userpage, or maybe a "things I like" page (or even a 'secret things I like" page). Just no "sign here" pages, and remember that the three edits per day limit applies to all of your User: pages, not just your main one (e.g., if you edited your secret page twice, and your userpage three times, that would be five edits total.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:03, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Re:Unsigned

Can the unsigned template somehow be edited to include the time in which the original comment was posted? This would greatly ease confusion associated with the given talk. Bulbapedian - Talk 17:26, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

The problem with that is it could only be set up to automatically show the time when the unsigned template was added, you'd need to manually input the date if you were adding it yourself. I can possibly add an extra variable to the template though, for those people who have the time to check when the unsigned comment was added. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:40, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Minor edits

How come you mark all of your edits as minor, even though some of them add tons of content to a page? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 03:09, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

I do that too. --ニョロトノ666 03:10, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Ditto--RexRacer -talk 03:11, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but Poli, you said before that you don't mark them as minor if they take you more than 5 minutes to do, while Jioruji marks every single one as minor, no matter how long it takes him to do it. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 03:12, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
I have mine set to automatically mark all my edits as minor; force of habit. I have trouble judging what constitutes a "major" edit, even if I do add a lot of info to a page.
The whole "minor edit" feature is grossly underused as it is, which is why I generally don't mess around with it too much. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:55, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
But look here. It explains what mostly can be a minor edit (and what is never a minor edit), and I stick with what it says there. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 18:51, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Most of the edits I generally make are minor ones; fixing grammar/spelling, re-coding, cleanup stuff. It's tough for me to remember to uncheck the box for the rare times I do make a "normal" edit. If the majority of my edits weren't minor cleanup, I'd simply turn off the "mark all edits as minor" option, and perhaps remember to mark smaller edits as minor more often. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:19, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
But, you also mark pretty much all of your talk page edits as minor as well. Do you really think they can be considered minor? I don't. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 03:36, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, that one's up to personal interpretation. I don't believe that talk page edits are ever major, being mere discussion on the article, never actually changes to the article (although I suppose others may view this differently).
And like I mentioned before, all my edits are, by default, set as minor, so once again, unless I'm actively remembering to un-mark before I save the page, talk page edits will be marked as minor. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:22, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

(resetting indent) Talk page edits may not change an article, but they do change the talk page. If you add a 500 character comment to a talk page, people will definitely see the talk page differently, and I don't think that something like that should be considered minor. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 16:35, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

No response? Why not? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 15:46, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Forgot this was here.
My point still stands that a talk page edit's status is dependent on the viewpoint; I don't see talk page edits as contributions to the wiki, but discussion (yes, often discussion about contributions, but rarely actual contributions in and of themselves). (unless someone is actually talking with me, like here, then they generally don't need to see every edit I make.)
...that is, of course, assuming that anyone does actually disable minor edits in their watchlist. I personally never do; vandals don't care about how big their edit was, and even tiny edits can be wrong, so I treat them all the same. It's just how I look at such things. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:51, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
But the fact is, talk page edits that add a comment will change what someone would see on the talk page. That's one of the many reasons why I don't think they can be minor. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 00:49, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Nearly all edits to anything will have an effect on the appearance of the article; by that logic, fixing a broken table code also wouldn't be considered minor, even though it is a tiny edit. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 00:53, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, that's different. Something I consider minor is something such as changing "a [[Starly (Pokémon)|bird]] to [[Starly (Pokémon)|a bird]]", since it won't change what someone will see when they view the page. Adding a talk page comment will. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 00:56, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
And on that subject, we merely have different opinions. I personally consider any edit that doesn't directly add new information to the wiki to be minor, and think that discussion edits count as minor for that reason.
If there's a consensus otherwise, I can attempt to change my editing habit, perhaps. But as it is, I don't think many editors here really pay attention to the status of an edit, and a good number probably don't even know what the minor edit box even does. Which is why I generally don't bother with the subject (if we had half as many edits per day as Wikipedia, then I might be more inclined to use the feature). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 01:02, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Hmm...I've seen some disputes before over what can and can not be a minor edit. Maybe I should talk to TTE about making a policy on it. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 01:20, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeh, go ahead. I personally don't think enough people here use the feature to warrant a policy on it. (or a dispute, since such people would probably end up having to correct a massive amount of the userbase.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 01:23, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Don't think there's a way to set the time zone by anything other then user preferences, since as far as I know, MediaWiki can only access the user's IP address, which isn't always an accurate representation of location.
