===Main series=== | |||
| |||
Kahili debuted in Keeping Your Eyes on the Ball!, where she was first seen escaping from a group of reporters trying to interview her. She had been on a losing streak lately and was doubting her skills at the sport of PokéGolf. She eventually wandered to the Pokémon School, where she met Ash and ashcl. Kahili agreed to show them what playing PokéGolf was like and took them to a PokéGolf course.
After a while, the master caddy challenged Kahili to try out an extremely difficult hole, which was located on a high platform in a windy canyon. Kahili accepted the challenge, and with the help of her Toucannon, she managed to land the ball in the hole. With her self-esteem restored, she was later seen winning a golf competition on TV.
She reappeared in Battle Royal 151!, where she participated in the Battle Royal preliminary round of the Manalo Conference. She was eventually defeated and eliminated from the tournament.
====Character==== | |||
Kahili remains humble in spite of her status as a master golfer. She hadn't been feeling confident about playing the sport until her chance encounter with Ash and ashcl in Keeping Your Eyes on the Ball!. Kahili is often supported by her Toucannon.

===GOTCHA!=== | |||
Kahili briefly appeared in GOTCHA!.
==In the manga== | |||
===Pokémon Adventures===
| |||
Kahili debuted in Defeat and the Commander of the School of Fish. She was first mentioned in Pokémon Move Specialist Professor Kukui by Hala, who planned to call Kahili back to Alola so that she may assist in trying to calm the guardian deities, who had been angered by something. After returning to Alola, Kahili met with Hala and told him that Tapu Lele had been spotted around Akala Island. She revealed that she investigated Melemele Island shortly after she arrived and was attacked by a Buzzwole and Kartana at Melemele Meadow before they disappeared after she fought back. Kahili speculated the Ultra Beasts were the source of the guardian deities' rage.
In The Wild Full-Power Pose of Fire, Kahili went to the Ruins of Life, where she found Sun, Moon, and Kiawe battling Gladion, who was attempting to kidnap Tapu Lele. Using her golfing skills, Kahili delivered a Z-Ring fashioned by Hala to Sun, who used it to defeat Gladion's Gladion, forcing him to leave. Afterward, Tapu Lele awakened and asked Kahili and the others to battle it as thanks for helping it. The four sent out their Pokémon to face the guardian deity, but were outclassed by its strength. Sun, refusing to give up, managed to get a hit in after his Litten, Dollar evolved into a Torracat. Acknowledging their determination, Tapu Lele flew off. Kahili congratulated Sun and Moon for their hard work and told them they still had Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini left.
In Flash and Cosmog's Secret, Kahili and the others met at Mallow's family restaurant, where they talked to Professor Kukui's wife, Professor Burnet, over a video phone about the Ultra Wormholes appearing around Alola. While the others decided to investigate the situation, Kahili went back to Melemele to report what she learned to Hala.
Six months after the Ultra Beasts arrived in Alola, Kahili took Olivia to deliver a repaired Z-Ring to Kiawe. While they traveled, Kahili revealed a suitcase full of Z-Crystals she had spent the last six months gathering. One of the Z-Crystals was a Lycanium Z, which Olivia had never seen before. After meeting with the others, Sophocles and Molayne took everyone to Mount Lanakila, where a wormhole had opened up earlier. Shortly after they arrived, their ship was attacked by a group of Aether Foundation Employees and their Ultra Beasts. During the battle, Kahili fought a Celesteela in the skies above Ula'ula Island and was later assisted by Tapu Bulu.

In the anime
Main series
Kahili debuted in Keeping Your Eyes on the Ball!, where she was first seen escaping from a group of reporters trying to interview her. She had been on a losing streak lately and was doubting her skills at the sport of PokéGolf. She eventually wandered to the Pokémon School, where she met Ash and his classmates.
Character
Kahili remains humble in spite of her status as a master golfer. She hadn't been feeling confident about playing the sport until her chance encounter with Ash and his classmates in Keeping Your Eyes on the Ball!. Kahili is often supported by her Toucannon.

Touckey (Japanese: カツオ Katsuo), a Toucannon, is Kahili's only known Pokémon. It has been her partner since her childhood, and assists her while playing PokéGolf.
Touckey tended to get annoyed with the master caddy, and when he tried to talk about how he would have done things better, Touckey would threaten him into keeping quiet by opening its mouth over his head.
Touckey's known moves are Tailwind and Beak Blast.

In the manga
Pokémon Adventures
Using her golfing skills, Kahili delivered a Z-Ring fashioned by Hala to Sun, who used it to defeat Gladion's Type: Null, forcing him to leave.
Pokémon
Toucannon is Kahili's second known Pokémon. It was first used to attack Gladion's Type: Null at the Ruins of Life. Doing so distracted Gladion long enough for Kahili to deliver a Z-Ring to Sun.
Toucannon's only known move is Drill Peck.
Skarmory is Kahili's third known Pokémon. It was first used to keep its Trainer in the air above the Ruins of Life, allowing her to golf Oricorio's Poké Ball over to Sun. Later, it was used to battle Tapu Lele alongside Sun, Moon, and Kiawe's Pokémon. Despite their combined strength, the guardian deity proved to be too powerful until Dollar evolved into a Torracat.
None of Skarmory's moves are known.
In the TCG
- Main article: Kahili (Lost Thunder 179)
Kahili was introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Sun & Moon Series (the Japanese SM Era). It was first released in the Japanese Thunderclap Spark expansion before debuting in English in the Lost Thunder expansion, with the background artwork by Ken Sugimori. It was also released as a Full Art card in Thunderclap Spark and Lost Thunder, with an illustration by Megumi Mizutani. It allows the player to draw 2 cards and it has a chance to return to the player's hand.
Trivia
- Kahili is the only member of the Alola Elite Four who doesn't make a mandatory in-game appearance at any time prior to her actual appearance.
- Kahili is also the only member of the Alola Elite Four who does not distribute the Z-Crystal of her type specialty. However, in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, when the player obtains Flyinium Z at Ten Carat Hill, she appears and demonstrates the pose for a Flying-type Z-Move.
- Kahili is the only notable Flying-type specialist who is not a Gym Leader.
- Larry of the Paldea Elite Four is also a Flying specialist, but he holds a second post as the Normal-type Gym Leader of Medali.
- Kahili being both a golfer and a Flying-type user may be a reference to the scoring system in golf, in which the terms birdie, eagle, albatross, and condor can describe how well a player has performed.
- Kahili's golf club has colors based on the appearance of Toucannon.
