Bianca, along with Cheren, has been friends with Black since they were small children. As the three played together, Black would eventually gain an interest in challenging the Pokémon League, but needed an excuse to set off on a journey. After learning about the Pokédex via a televised interview with Cedric Juniper, Bianca suggested that Black should capture a Pokémon and earn a Pokédex from Cedric. While searching on 1 for something to catch, Bianca was attacked by a wild Rufflet, but was saved by Black with the help of a wild Munna.
Bianca and Cheren have been friends with Black since they were small children despite the fact that Black lived in a different town from them. As they played together, Black gained interest in beating the Pokémon League, and to do that he needed an excuse to set off on a journey. Black saw, with Cheren and Bianca, a televised interview with Cedric Juniper talking about a Pokédex. It was Bianca who suggested to a young Black that he should get a Pokémon in order to earn a Pokédex from Juniper, much to Cheren's bewilderment, but Bianca wandered off to 1 and was attacked by a wild Rufflet, which Black eventually caught after befriending a Munna.

Bianca, along with Cheren, first appears in front of Black's house where they witness the aftermath of the fight involving Professor Juniper's Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. While Professor Juniper shows her anger over the fight between the starters and the Pokédexes that Black had dropped into a puddle, Bianca gives Cheren the Snivy, stating that it resembled him, and takes Oshawott for herself.

Bianca debuted in Choices. She and Cheren met with Professor Juniper at her laboratory to ask why the first partner Pokémon and Pokédexes that were supposed to be delivered to Black's house haven't arrived yet. They discovered that two of the first partner Pokémon had gotten into a fight with each other while the third ran off elsewhere. While Professor Juniper cleaned up the mess, Bianca took Bianca for herself and gave Cheren to Cheren, stating that it resembled him. They tracked Tepig's footprints to a nearby cliffside, where they found it and Black stuck in a tree, being attacked by a wild Pokémon. Professor Juniper decided to use the moment to see if Black was still worthy of owning a Pokédex despite the trouble he caused her. By cooperating with Tepig, Black managed to defeat the Sewaddle that was attacking him. With Sewaddle defeated, Black immediately left to start his journey, leaving the others behind. Later, Bianca and Cheren realized that because of Black's negligence, their Pokédexes ended up left in a puddle, causing them to malfunction.

In A Nickname for Tepig, Bianca and Cheren had a quick sparring match that ended in Bianca's loss. Professor Juniper revealed that repairing the Pokédexes would take longer than she expected. With Black having the only working Pokédex, Professor Junper told Bianca and Cheren to go find Black and tell him to take care of it.

They all chase after the missing Tepig and find Black trying to rescue it from a tree. When Black is attacked by an unknown Pokémon, Bianca and Professor Juniper listen to Cheren's explanation about Black's abilities with his Musha and they witness him defeat the Pokémon, a Sewaddle, and fly off. They are all shocked to find out that the Pokédexes that Black had accidentally dropped into the water no longer work.

In Welcome to Striaton City!!, Bianca and Cheren found Black at the Striaton Gym. They chastised Black for leaving home without them and causing their Pokédexes to get damaged. Seeing the conversation, the Gym Leaders, Cilan, Cress, and Chili, allowed Bianca and Cheren to participate in the Gym challenge alongside Black. Together, Bianca, Cheren, and Black managed to defeat the triplet Gym Leaders and earn the Trio. Afterward, Black apologized for his actions and gave Cheren and Bianca a Xtransceiver each so they could keep in touch. After going their separate ways, Bianca and Cheren realized they never exchanged numbers with Black, forcing them to go and find him again.

Next, Bianca and Cheren have a brief sparring match with their new Pokémon which ends with Bianca getting hit by her Oshawott and attacking Cheren in anger. Cheren explains his and Bianca's history with Black to Professor Juniper and they decide to go tell him about his Pokédex being the only working one. Just as they leave, Bianca's father tries to stop her from leaving but Bianca refuses to listen to him.
In Big City Battles, Bianca walked through the streets of Castelia City in order to find Black for his Xtransceiver number. She was knocked unconscious by a Team Plasma Grunt's Amoonguss and had her new Litwick stolen. After learning of the situation, Black managed to track the thieves to their hideout and rescued all of the Pokémon they had stolen, including Bianca's Litwick.

In With a Little Help from My Friends, White encountered Bianca playing the flute in Anville Town. Bianca confessed that she was feeling depressed because she had spent most of her journey avoiding her overprotective father, which prevented her from improving her skill in battling. To hopefully cheer her up, White showed off Bianca's musical skill to a Guitarist she knew and took Bianca to Café Sonata to potentially start a career in music. Just as they arrived, Bianca and White found the place in shambles, it having been ransacked by a wild Vullaby in its pursuit of a Meloetta. The Guitarist revealed it was his dream to play music with Meloetta, but Vullaby's attack left his hand broken. Feeling sorry for the man, Bianca grabbed his guitar, intending to play with Meloetta in his place.
Sometime later, after losing a battle to a wild Audino, Bianca and Cheren reach Striaton City to find Black. They manage to find him in a restaurant where Bianca mistakes him being on a date with White. After the girl leaves, Bianca and Cheren meet up with Black who explains his situation to them. Soon after, they are introduced to the Gym Leaders of the restaurant/Gym, Cilan, Cress, and Chili. When Black's Gym battle starts, Bianca interferes with the challenge when she attempts to solve the Gyms puzzle, only to get it wrong by saying that Fire is strong against Water. When Black tries to get her to stay out of his challenge, Bianca retaliates by sending her Oshawott to attack his Tep which causes Cheren's Snivy to attack them in order to stop their fighting. After Cheren defends Bianca, Chili tells them that because of Bianca's interference, Black is disqualified from challenging the Gym. Luckily for Black, it turned out that Chili was only kidding and he lets Bianca and Cheren take on the Gym as well due to it being a good learning experience for Bianca. After this, Black decides to teach Bianca about Pokémon type compatibility by using her Oshawott as an example of which types are super effective and not very effective to water Pokémon. As they go through the Gym, Bianca learns about type compatibilities, the starters start to get along, and they finally reach the Gym Leaders.

At first, the Gym Leaders have the advantage in the battle but by using strategy, Bianca, Black, and Cheren manage to rack up some damage against the Gym Leaders' Pokémon. Eventually, Bianca has her Oshawott block an attack from Cilan's Pansage and then has it attack Chili's Pansear with its scalchop, defeating it in the process. Immediately after, Oshawott is defeated by Pansage, leaving Tep as the only Pokémon left to fight Cilan and Cress's Pansage and Cress. Despite nearly being defeated by Panpour, Tep manages to feed Oshawott and Snivy some of Pansage's leaves, rejuvenating them and allowing their Trainers to win the match 3-2 when the Gyms time limit runs out. Bianca, Cheren, and Black then receive their Badges from the Striaton Gym Leaders. Afterwards, Bianca and Cheren are given a Xtransceiver from Black in order to keep in touch with him. After this, White comes back and introduces herself to Bianca and Cheren while advertising her BW Agency. After the two groups go their separate ways, Bianca and Cheren realize they didn't get Black's Xtransceiver number and run off to find him.
In A Lost Melody, White kept Vullaby and its allies busy while Bianca struggled to learn how to play the song on the Guitarist's sheet music. After perfecting it, she helped Meloetta remember the move Relic Song, allowing it to achieve its List of Pokémon with form differences. With its new form, Meloetta easily defeated the Vullaby horde, allowing White to capture the leader and add it to her team. Inspired the ordeal, Bianca told Professor Juniper she decided to become her assistant and give up on her journey. When asked about the newly-repaired Pokédex, Bianca decided to give it to White.

Bianca is later seen walking through the streets of Castelia City with her new Pokémon, Litwick, while looking for Black so she can obtain his Xtransceiver number. She is knocked unconscious by an Amoonguss while its Trainer, a Team Plasma Grunt, kidnaps her Litwick. Iris later finds the unconscious Bianca and easily deduces what happened and reports it to Burgh who just finished his Gym match against Black. The three of them along with White head to Team Plasma's hideout after Black's newly evolved Pignite follows the scent and they rescue Litwick and the other Pokémon Team Plasma had captured.
Black 2 & White 2
Two years later, in The Transfer Student, Bianca was called over to the Aspertia City Trainers' School that Cheren started teaching at. She presented two Pokédexes to Blake and Whitley, the winners of an exhibition tournament between Cheren's students. Later, Bianca talked to Cheren about his first day as a teacher. They were interrupted by a call from Drayden, who informed them of the third Legendary Dragon of the Unova region: Kyurem. He noted that Team Plasma may have revived in order to obtain Kyurem for themselves.

After arriving in Anville Town, White finds a depressed Bianca playing the flute with the help of her Pokémon. Bianca reveals that during her entire journey, she has been avoiding her overprotective father, and because of this, she hasn't improved her skills in battling. To cheer her up, White takes Bianca to Café Sonata to help her try out performing music. To their horror, they find that the place has been attacked by a wild Vullaby. They quickly find out that the Vullaby is pursuing the Mythical Pokémon Meloetta and ransacked the place while chasing it. In order to help, Bianca takes the guitar of a musician and helps Meloetta remember the move Relic Song. This allows Meloetta to transform into its Pirouette Forme and defeat the Vullaby, which is soon captured by White. Afterward, Bianca decides to give up her Pokémon journey and become Professor Juniper's assistant. When Cedric Juniper comes to deliver Bianca her fixed Pokédex, Bianca decides to give it to White.
In Pink Slip, Bianca, Fennel, Amanita, Professor Juniper, and Cedric Juniper hid in Fennel's house in Striaton City, which had been frozen by Team Plasma's flying ship, the Plasma Frigate. Fennel revealed that she discovered another dimension known as the Pokémon Dream World and hypothesized that Black may have been sent there after being sealed into the Light Stone. Hearing this, Bianca immediately decided to go to the Entralink, but Fennel admitted she already sent White there to confirm her theory. The plan proved to be a success, as White managed to find and obtain the Light Stone.

In the Black 2 & White 2, Bianca goes to Aspertia City at Cheren's request. She gives two Pokédexes to Blake and Whitley for winning the small tournament with their classmates to determine the best Trainers between them. Although Whitley is reluctant at first, she takes the Pokédex after some coaxing from Blake. Later, she talks to Cheren about what happened to Black two years ago when they are interrupted by Drayden, who called to inform them about information on Unova's third Legendary Dragon Pokémon, Kyurem. Afterward, Bianca's father arrives to drag Bianca back home.
In The Final Battle: Crushed Ambition, Bianca and Cedric traveled to Undella Town, which had also been frozen by the Plasma Frigate. They attempted to break the ice covering the Marine Tube's entrance to free Cheren and his class, who had been using the place as shelter. With the combined might of Water Pledge, Grass Pledge, and Fire Pledge, Bianca, Cheren, Cedric, and Benga destroyed the ice and rescued everyone. After confirming the safety of Cheren's missing students, Bianca revealed to him that Black had been freed from the Light Stone. Later, Bianca and Cheren were transported to the abandoned N's Castle. The area had been set ablaze when the Plasma Frigate crashed into it, putting the Pokémon Team Plasma left behind at risk. Bianca, Black, White, Blake, Whitley, Hugh, Cheren, Benga, and Cedric combined the might of all three stages of the Unova first partner Pokémon and unleashed a triple Water, Grass, and Fire Pledge combination attack, successfully dousing the flames.

In Epilogue: Graduation Ceremony, Bianca attended the Trainers' School graduation ceremony, where she watched Cheren's students graduate.

Bianca (Japanese: ベル Bell) is a supporting character of the Pokémon Adventures manga series.

Character

Bianca is a newly starting out Pokémon Trainer along with her two friends, Black and Cheren. She and Cheren are well acquainted with Professor Juniper and were the ones who recommended him to be the third Unova Pokédex holder despite her having never met the boy before. She is described as a girl who goes about in her own pace and is prone to impulsive actions that can get her and those around her in trouble.

History

Past

Bianca, along with Cheren, has been friends with Black since they were small children. As the three played together, Black would eventually gain an interest in challenging the Pokémon League, but needed an excuse to set off on a journey. After learning about the Pokédex via a televised interview with Cedric Juniper, Bianca suggested that Black should capture a Pokémon and earn a Pokédex from Cedric. While searching on Route 1 for something to catch, Bianca was attacked by a wild Rufflet, but was saved by Black with the help of a wild Munna.

Black & White arc

Bianca at age five

Bianca debuted in Choices. She and Cheren met with Professor Juniper at her laboratory to ask why the first partner Pokémon and Pokédexes that were supposed to be delivered to Black's house haven't arrived yet. They discovered that two of the first partner Pokémon had gotten into a fight with each other while the third ran off elsewhere. While Professor Juniper cleaned up the mess, Bianca took Oshawott for herself and gave Snivy to Cheren, stating that it resembled him.

Bianca in the Black & White arc

In Welcome to Striaton City!!, Bianca and Cheren found Black at the Striaton Gym. They chastised Black for leaving home without them and causing their Pokédexes to get damaged. Seeing the conversation, the Gym Leaders, Cilan, Cress, and Chili, allowed Bianca and Cheren to participate in the Gym challenge alongside Black. Together, Bianca, Cheren, and Black managed to defeat the triplet Gym Leaders and earn the Trio Badge. Afterward, Black apologized for his actions and gave Cheren and Bianca a Xtransceiver each so they could keep in touch. After going their separate ways, Bianca and Cheren realized they never exchanged numbers with Black, forcing them to go and find him again.

In A Lost Melody, White kept Vullaby and its allies busy while Bianca struggled to learn how to play the song on the Guitarist's sheet music. After perfecting it, she helped Meloetta remember the move Relic Song, allowing it to achieve its Pirouette Forme.

Black 2 & White 2 arc

Two years later, in The Transfer Student, Bianca was called over to the Aspertia City Trainers' School that Cheren started teaching at. She presented two Pokédexes to Blake and Whitley, the winners of an exhibition tournament between Cheren's students. Later, Bianca talked to Cheren about his first day as a teacher. They were interrupted by a call from Drayden, who informed them of the third Legendary Dragon of the Unova region: Kyurem. He noted that Team Plasma may have revived in order to obtain Kyurem for themselves.
