Hattrem is a small, vaguely humanoid Pokémon with a pink body and a large, light blue hair surrounding its head. It has a conical point on top of its hair that is pink at the bottom and white at the top, with the tip being crooked and tapering off at the end. This gives the hair the appearance of a witch's hat. On the side of its hair are two, large, blue bulbous growths that appears to be held by pink rings. These growths resembles ponytails and it uses them to stand on.

On the sides of its hair are two large, blue bulbous growths that appears to be held by pink rings. These growths resembles ponytails and Hattrem uses them to stand on. Hattrem has two, thin arms lacking any digits, and a white ovular spot on its chest. Its waist extends out into two lumps, with very small, light blue joint-less and digit-less legs. Its eyes have black sclerae and white pupils, with two pink dots for highlights that make its pupils vaguely resemble cartoon hearts.

Its eyes have black sclerae and white pupils, with two pink dots for highlights that make its pupils vaguely resemble cartoon hearts.
Hattrem makes use of its ponytails as hands, pummeling its foes with them. One blow from these ponytails would knock out a professional boxer. Hattrem perceives strong emotions, including positive ones, as if they're really loud noises. Thus, Hattrem will violently silence anything nearby expressing or feeling strong emotions.

Trivia
Trivia
* Hattrem, Morgrem, and their evolutionary families can be considered counterparts.
* Hattrem, Morgrem, and their evolutionary lines can be considered counterparts.
** Both are Generation VIII Pokémon evolving from their pre-evolved form at level 32 then at level 42.
** Both are Generation VIII Pokémon evolving once at level 32, then at level 42.
** Hattrem and its evolutionary relatives are female only, while Morgrem and its evolutionary relatives are male only.
** Hattrem and its evolutionary relatives are female-only, while Morgrem and its evolutionary relatives are male-only.
** Their final evolved forms are both Fairy Pokémon with identical base experience and catch rates, and each Pokémon in each evolution line have the same base stat total as their counterpart (e.g. Hattrem and Morgrem both have a base stat total of 370).
** Each Pokémon in each evolutionary line has the same base stat total, base experience yield and catch rate as their counterpart (e.g. Hattrem and Morgrem both have a base stat total of 370), except for Hatenna and Impidimp's catch rate.
** Both Pokémon are also based on mythical beings from European folklore and mythology: Hattrem resembles a witch, and Morgrem resembles a goblin. Furthermore, both Pokémon use their hair as a weapon.
** These two evolutionary lines are next to each other in the National Pokédex, the Galar Pokédex, the Crown Tundra Pokédex and the Paldea Pokédex.
** Both evolutionary lines share similarities with mythical beings from European folklore and mythology: Hattrem's family shares traits with witches, and Morgrem's family shares traits with goblins.
** Both final evolutions are Fairy Pokémon based around long hair that have their Speed drop upon evolution.

Hattrem (Japanese: テブリム Tebrim) is a Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.

It evolves from Hatenna starting at level 32 and evolves into Hatterene starting at level 42.

Biology

Hattrem is a small, vaguely humanoid Pokémon with a pink body and a large, light blue mass of hair surrounding its head. It has a conical point on top of its hair that is pink at the bottom and white at the top, with the tip being crooked and tapering off at the end. This gives the hair the appearance of a witch's hat.

Evolution

Hattrem evolves from Hatenna and evolves into Hatterene.

Trivia

  • Hattrem, Morgrem, and their evolutionary lines can be considered counterparts.
    • Both are Generation VIII Pokémon evolving once at level 32, then at level 42.
    • Hattrem and its evolutionary relatives are female-only, while Morgrem and its evolutionary relatives are male-only.
    • Each Pokémon in each evolutionary line has the same base stat total, base experience yield and catch rate as their counterpart (e.g. Hattrem and Morgrem both have a base stat total of 370), except for Hatenna and Impidimp's catch rate.
    • These two evolutionary lines are next to each other in the National Pokédex, the Galar Pokédex, the Crown Tundra Pokédex and the Paldea Pokédex.
    • Both evolutionary lines share similarities with mythical beings from European folklore and mythology: Hattrem's family shares traits with witches, and Morgrem's family shares traits with goblins.
    • Both final evolutions are Fairy-type Pokémon based around long hair that have their Speed drop upon evolution.
    • Both final evolutions are the signature Pokémon of a rival in Pokémon Sword and Shield who is a succeeding Gym Leader and Gigantamaxes it (Bede's Hatterene and Marnie's Grimmsnarl).

Origin

Hattrem resembles a witch, especially the common depictions wearing a witch hat. The fact that its "hat" is made of its hair may be based on the common belief in folklore that a witch's power is connected to their hair. Its appearance may also be based on a witch's ladder, which features knotted, corded, and/or beaded hair used to form a magic charm.

Name origin

Hattrem may be a combination of hat and tremble.

Tebrim may be a combination of 手振り teburi (hand gesture) and brim.
