A Maid (Japanese: メイド Maid) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in Platinum. They are depicted as young women in typical maid servant clothing.
They appear in Platinum in Mr. Backlot's mansion when the player decides to take the 5-Maid Knockout Exact-Turn Attack Challenge. Its objective is to beat all five maids in a certain amount of turns. The prize for winning the challenge is a battle with Lady Celeste or Rich Boy Liam. Each of them has a different lucky color and they specialize in training Clefairy.
In Black and White, they use Pokémon from the Field Egg Group. In the Battle Subway, they specialize in the final evolutions of first partner Pokémon. In X and Y, they appear in the Battle Chateau although they appear as a Baroness, Viscountess, Countess, Marchioness or Duchess. They also appear in the Battle Maison going by their original name. They gain a male counterpart in Butlers.

In Hungry for the Good Life!, a maid named Monica worked at Mr. Backlot's mansion. Her overall design is loosely based on the Maids found in the games. It should be noted that at the time the episode aired, the Maid Trainer class did not exist yet, and Monica was merely based on the overworld sprites of the maids in Diamond and Pearl.
Another maid named Molly appeared in Breaking Titles at the Chateau!, alongside a Butler named Turner. They acted as Ash and his friends' guides through the Battle Chateau, and officiated the matches held in the facility. She has the same character design as the maids in X and Y.
Maids appeared under the servitude of Lillie and the supervision of Hobbes, starting in Lillie's Egg-xhilarating Challenge!.
