Iron Island (Japanese: こうてつじま Steel Island) is a small islet off of the northwestern coast of Sinnoh, which is accessible by boat in Canalave City. On this island, a man named Riley trains, and will give the player a Riolu egg if he or she helps him here by teaming up with him. Riley has a Lv.34 Lucario and will fully heal all of your Pokémon after each battle. At the end of Iron Island, you may collect a Shiny Stone. Iron Island was once a prosperous ore mine, but was shut down after the ore reserves dried up. Since then, it was kept open as a training area and habitat for wild Pokémon. Byron and the members of the Canalave Gym come here to train, as did Roark in his childhood. Riley seems to be the actual legal owner of the mine itself.
