Soundproof (Japanese: ぼうおん Soundproof) is an Ability introduced in Generation III.

Effect

In battle

Soundproof prevents all effect from sound-based moves, granting Pokémon with this Ability immunity from them.

In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, a sleeping Pokémon with this Ability cannot be woken with a Poké Flute. From Generation III to IV, Pokémon with this Ability can still fall asleep during an uproar.

In Generation V only, Pokémon with Soundproof can be affected by Heal Bell.
