Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Varoom and its evolved form.
- Due to them being part Steel-type, Varoom and its evolution Revavroom are also the only Poison-type Pokémon to be immune against their own type.
- Varoom and its evolved form were shown in multiple trailers and gameplay showcases but remained unnamed until the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Origin
Varoom seems to be based on a single-cylinder car engine. The rocks it attaches itself to resemble wheels, which combine with Varoom's body to evoke a woodchipper.
Name origin
Varoom may be derived from vroom (onomatopoetic sound of engine revving up).
Buroron may be a combination of ぶるん burun (vroom) and ぶろろろ burororo (onomatopoeia for engine sounds).
