:It was once thought that it was possible to obtain it without cheating. Cheating-only glitch Pokémon don't get articles, as they aren't truly glitches. But don't worry, soon that article and many others which were deleted in the past for being cheat-only will likely be restored due to the Johto guard glitch, which means that we can obtain all glitch Pokémon except those with index numbers 250, 251, 252, 253, and 254 (it doesn't actually allow you to obtain index numbers 000 and 255 either, but we have other ways). --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 07:21, 3 May 2011 (UTC) | :It was once thought that it was possible to obtain it without cheating. :: I also wanted to tell you that there are some glitch Pokémon that were previously thought uncapturable because they send out a trainer. I had tested this a few times with the mew glitch and it turns out it can either send the trainer or the Pokémon, one example is 94, is there a way that i can read the deleted articles test them and make sure the're cheat only? if not just send me the names and hex values. thanks, --Rsrdaman 20:10, 3 May 2011 (UTC) |

Help
I am quite a new user, but i have made many contributions to the mainspace, including info and trivia on the Orange Archipeleago and alot of Pokémon, but i'm still unable to edit my user page. I was read that i had to contact a member of staff, so here I am. please help when you have time. --Dark Lord 07:28, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- There's a minimum time since registering as well, which is almost certainly the reason you can't edit it. Give it a few days to a week and you should be able to. Keep up the good work. Werdnae (talk) 08:24, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Song Question
I was reading the Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea article, and it doesn't show any link to the English credits song. Is there an article about the exact song and what is it called? Pokedex493 19:14, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

- Please, in future, do not ask me general questions about the anime, as I rarely know the answer (and I didn't know the answer to this one either). For the anime, you are much better off asking Kenji-girl, who is leader of Project Anime. However, even better, please use the talk page of the article in question, or the BulbaWiki forum. --SnorlaxMonster 05:59, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Help with contributions
Hi SnorlaxMonster, do you have any good ideas for me to improve those articles I done for the CID, meaning Team Charm and the Pokémon Musical. I know it's over, but I'd still like to improve them. And, while we're on that matter, am I allowed to make a page on Digimon? I want to show it's rivalry with Pokémon and bring our fans up to date with our competition. It would've been a good entry for the comp, but then, it's over - and anyway, I'm supposed to have improved articles for it, not made another one. Oh well...- Twisted Ivy 06:05, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Team Charm I've removed stub and defined why it was incomplete (it was missing a few levels). Pokémon Musical seems very short to me, and has very few images. I don't think Digimon is a good idea, but you can create a page in your userspace and see how it goes. If the page is deemed notable, it can be made, but I personally don't think that it is necessary. --SnorlaxMonster 06:25, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up! The levels were done by someone else - I think that bit was one were you couldn't see their levels during game play. By the way, were you the one that deleted my trivia bit? Twisted Ivy 06:37, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Someone is going to have to look into the games' code to find those then. And is this the trivia that you were talking about? - unsigned comment from SnorlaxMonster (talk • contribs)
- Yeah, that's the one. I'll inquire with some of the users that have already finished a game in that particular series - they're bound to know. Do you know any? Twisted Ivy 07:34, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- I do have Explorers of Sky, but I'm currently awaiting rescue, so there isn't much I can do. However, I'm pretty sure that in that situation, their levels aren't easy to see, so it would require someone to actually read the game's code. --SnorlaxMonster 07:45, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- How do you do that? I'm befuddled as to whom to ask, but if you know, I'd be more than obliged to ask them.Twisted Ivy 08:30, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Look in the games code? I personally don't know how, but it is how we get most of our game data. I would suggest posting on the Bulbawiki forum and asking for help (in the Official BULBAPEDIA suggestion/idea/problem thread) as I don't know who actually does this. --SnorlaxMonster 10:11, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Why
do you keep picking TCG illustrators. When I was TCG leader, my rule of thumb was that you do it well, or you don't do it at all, and having them on the main page allows people to make them poorly. So, let me reiterate, why the TCG illustrators? MaverickNate 18:59, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- I figured that TCG illustrators weren't all templates like the individual cards or sets (which I had been purposely avoiding), so they could be made easily. There were several other things that I was trying to avoid, and most of the other things with many links were either Sega games (which there was already one of on there), TCG/Battrio sets (which I didn't think should be there), and manga issues (which there was already one of on there). I will not put any TCG illustrators on in future, and I'll replace the current illustrator with Gengar's Shadow. --SnorlaxMonster 01:24, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
Demographics for Castelia City
A few days ago, I created a demographics section for Castelia City. Then just today, I checked it, and it was gone and I noticed you happened to delete it. Is there a reason why we don't need it..? - unsigned comment from Han Ji-Wan (talk • contribs)
- The only thing that I deleted was "as of Generation V", which is something that has been popping up everywhere, but really isn't necessary. It is assumed that everything is "as of Generation V", and is not necessary to be there. --SnorlaxMonster 01:24, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Wow, totally sorry about that. I saw "delete" or something like that, so I assumed that you deleted it without me thinking. Okay, from now on, I will not use that phrase "as of Generation V". Thanks for the advice! :] - unsigned comment from Han Ji-Wan (talk • contribs)
How am I doing so far?
Hello! I noticed you've been adding stuff and correcting the Demographics section I've been working on. I thank you for that. I really appreciate it. Is there something I should do or should not do? Should I keep doing what I've been doing? Thank you! :]--Han Ji-Wan 03:50, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- I was going to get around to telling you, but then I just never did. You should use link templates (I think the only one you need to use for what you are doing is
game
). Basically, when you link the main series game titles, you put HeartGold and SoulSilver and it will output Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver (same display, but correct link). Also, it is better not to refer to them as "the HeartGold and SoulSilver games", rather, just "HeartGold and SoulSilver" or "Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver". I have probably changed a few other things too, so please see the page history to see exactly what I changed. --SnorlaxMonster 03:59, 10 January 2011 (UTC)- Okay thank you! I appreciate your help. I will start doing what you've told me to do. Sorry for the inconvenience. If there's anything else that I need to work on, just let me know!--Han Ji-Wan 04:12, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, and when you have sections, you should leave a line between them, unless they are subsections. So your code should look like this:
- Okay thank you! I appreciate your help. I will start doing what you've told me to do. Sorry for the inconvenience. If there's anything else that I need to work on, just let me know!--Han Ji-Wan 04:12, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Including player and rival in population count
- Okay, so I noticed you changed Twinleaf and Littleroot Towns' population back (there's also New Bark Town, Pallet Town, and Kanoko Town). Really, it shouldn't be 8, should be 10 (for each one). Even though the players and rivals are exploring and not sitting around their town, they're still citizens of their respective towns. Could we please turn them back to their real population?
- --Han Ji-Wan 04:03, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- They don't inhabit those towns anymore. Sure they are their home towns, but they shouldn't be included in the counts. There are several other traveling Trainers who would say what their hometown is, but are not included in these counts. --SnorlaxMonster 04:06, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Why shouldn't they be included in the counts? They're still citizens. So, according to your logic, (this is just an example), I live in San Diego, but I work and do most of my free time in Los Angeles. I'm still a resident of San Diego, even though I spend the majority of my life outside of my town. Really, the players and rivals have to count in the starting towns. They can't be counted out just because they're on their journey.
- --Han Ji-Wan 04:13, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Once they set out on a journey, they pretty much move out. Ash is from Pallet Town, but if they did a population count they wouldn't include him. You still often return home to San Diego (otherwise you wouldn't say that you live there), whereas the game Trainers don't need to return home at all unless they beat the league. --SnorlaxMonster 11:20, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but that doesn't make sense to me. What I see, is that you're using your opinion. And Bulbapedia require editors to only put down facts. Opinions are not facts. The players and rivals ARE from their towns. They're residence of their hometowns. I checked this at census.gov (the official site for the US Census Bureau, I believe), and it says:
- "1.PEOPLE AWAY ON VACATION OR BUSINESS People temporarily away on vacation or a business trip on Census Day - Counted at their usual residence, that is, the place where they live and sleep most of the time."
- I don't see what's the big deal. What I see, is that you're using your opinions as facts. I'm really sorry we're having this stupid argument, but I will defend my side.
- --Han Ji-Wan 16:13, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thing is, player characters who leave home rarely (if at all) live or sleep in their hometown and are not temporarily away on vacation—it is a permanent thing. It is just as much of an opinion to say that they still live there as it is to say that they have moved out. --SnorlaxMonster 01:02, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- You know what? You're not being fair. I feel like you're manipulating your power by using your opinion. Sure, it is my opinion. I guess I will have to contact a higher authority. Really sorry, but something needs to be said.
- --Han Ji-Wan 01:15, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

I apologize if you feel that way. The way I saw it, I changed something, you didn't like it, so we are having a friendly discussion on a talk page. I would prefer if it were in a more public place so that more people could discuss it too (like on the forums, or perhaps a talk page of one of the hometown articles). I would like to note that what I have written here since you complained about the hometown populations is not an instruction; rather, I am attempting to form a consensus with you. I do not believe that I have once used my power in this disagreement, but if you feel that I have and abused it, then feel free to report me to another admin. --SnorlaxMonster 01:21, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, so I apologize for being stubborn. I admit that. So, I will create a thread on the forums. It'll be easier and we can see what others think. I realize I'm actually the one manipulating you. I'm really sorry. You were just doing your job, and I didn't like what you did. And that built up. And now I'm accusing you of manipulating your power. I am sorry. :[
- ps. I hope we're still on friendly terms. I appreciate you helping me fix my mistakes.
- --Han Ji-Wan 01:35, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, we're still on friendly terms. We just had a difference of opinion, and I never saw you as someone I didn't get along with. For the record, I didn't feel manipulated. And you didn't need to hide my identity on the forums; it's on my talk page, which is public and visible to many. --SnorlaxMonster 02:04, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- That's good to hear. I'm just laughing at the whole thing, really. I wasn't sure because I know someone doesn't like being "thrown under the bus". But idk if it still applies when on the forums. But whatever, I just did it just to be sure. Also, is there another way to contact each other that's not public and doesn't take up space on your UserTalk? --Han Ji-Wan 02:09, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- You can use Special:EmailUser/SnorlaxMonster if you want to talk to me in private. If you have your email confirmed, I can use that too (but clearly SnorlaxMonster changes to Han Ji-Wan). --SnorlaxMonster 02:14, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

I was going through the entire list of webcomics and I only found two, which was Pokémon-X and Super Effective. Should there be any others that you know of? - unsigned comment from Pokedex493 (talk • contribs)
- I really wouldn't know. I don't really read webcomics (but I have read Super Effective). These kind of open questions are generally better to be discussed on the Bulbawiki forum rather than on individual staff member's talk pages. --SnorlaxMonster 11:24, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
Fly
Hi SnorlaxMonster, serebii.net has a couple of pics, alternatively, the episode can be found on youtube, where someone has filmed their TV, it was the only one I could find, Staryu and Starmie are at about 1.30. I'm not sure if it's ok to post a link, but it can always be deleted after. XVuvuzela2010X 12:49, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Just so you know, it wasn't that I didn't believe them, but that I was interested. However, after watching that video, I'm not sure how safe it is to call it Fly. The just levitate and are unaffected by the extra weight it seems. I am not going to fight you adding it to the page, but I'm also not sure how accurate it is to call levitating Fly. --SnorlaxMonster 12:55, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Names/In other languages
Personally, I think that it's way more practical, good-looking, professional and neat to merge all the names in one table, changing the heading from In other languages to Names. Not to mention that it also is the standard for characters and locations (see Falkner or Rustboro City) and I don't really understand why "This section should not contain English and Japanese names". But, hey, if you really want it that way... --Siegfried 05:43, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Project Pokédex has it that way. If you want to change it, you should probably bring it up over there first. I guess with the new table, it could be possible, but the section title should match the convention (I know it wasn't you that was changing that to "in other languages"). The main reason it is separate is because the "name origin" is a subsection of origin. The origin of its name is quite important. Putting it in that table, which is really meant to be a list of names in other languages, is just overloading the whole thing. --SnorlaxMonster 05:54, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- I understand. About the overloading of a possible unified nomenclature table, I don't think that it would be a problem. Here are two example of "long" etymologies:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Altaria_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29&oldid=1316546#Names & http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Claydol_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29&oldid=1316529#Names
They don't seem particularly messy to me. And a limited space would also (in a perfect world) prevent bizzarre origins that sometimes pop up. --Siegfried 06:25, 17 January 2011 (UTC)- If the table became the "name origin" section, it could work out quite nicely. However, this is not something I can decide to implement, nor can you (which was my main problem with you just adding it). This discussion should be taken to Project Pokédex (which I see you have now done) to see just how it should be handled. And "in other languages" does not mix with Japanese/English, which seems to be what someone is changing. --SnorlaxMonster 10:04, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- I understand. About the overloading of a possible unified nomenclature table, I don't think that it would be a problem. Here are two example of "long" etymologies:
Batlle Pyramid
On the trivia secion on the Battle Frontier, I mentioned how the anime version of the Battle Pyramid had close similatities to the alien spaceship used by Ra in the 1994 science-fiction movie Stargate. Why did you delete it? Emporer15 15:32, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Comparing this to this, they seem to be similar because they are Pyramid ships that are made of metal. We do generally avoid comparisons to other franchises unless they are very clear. In this situation, their similarity seems to be just a slight coincidence. --SnorlaxMonster 04:19, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
HALP!!
Yeah. I need help. Someone on the forums recommended I have two of the same usernames for both the forums and here. I tried changing my username to Gummy Spider. That didn't work. All it did was change my signature, with no link provided. Then just now, I changed it back to Han Ji-Wan because someone just informed me that it's against the Bulbapedia policy to not have your signature link to your username. And even though I changed it back to my old username, it still doesn't link to my username. I'm really lost. Could you please shed some light for me!? Pretty please!? :D--Han Ji-Wan 07:28, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw that. That person was TTE, who is the former editor-in-chief of Bulbapedia. Neither you nor I have the power to rename you, only those on the Editorial Board can, and I don't think they will at the moment due to a problem with the load balancer (whenever there is a serverside problem, it's usually its fault). What you need to do is use the name Han Ji-Wan until you are renamed. Now, to link to your userpage, you should tick the box in the signature section of Special:Preferences. You can also manually code your signature (which requires you to untick the box), which allows further customization, like mine and many other users'. --SnorlaxMonster 07:48, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for clearing things up for me!--Han Ji-Wan 16:10, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Forum
Excuse me SnorlaxMonster, I just wanted to ask you about the Bulbawiki Forum. If I wanted to ask a question or post a comment on the forum ( such as ask about the game code thing related to Aegis Cave ), which requires me to sign in, do I sign in with the account that I already have on Bulbapedia? Or do I have to make another account on Bulbwiki? Twisted Ivy 10:10, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- You need to create a separate forums account. The forums uses separate accounts to the Bulbawikis (Bulbapedia, Bulbagarden Archives, Bulbanews, and RPGWiki). --SnorlaxMonster 10:32, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

I would like to use your table that you have for your Pokemon By Release Date page. Is it okay if I used it? Of course I'll change the colors and formatting. I will also give credit to you.--Han Ji-Wan 21:17, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Sure. I think I got that from somewhere else anyway (probably from list of Pokémon with unique type combinations), and I'm planning on redoing it. --SnorlaxMonster 00:59, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Yet another idiotic argument
HoennMaster and I are debating whether the term "largest city" is defined by population or land area. For me, the "largest city" is defined by population while HoennMaster is the opposite. I was seeing all the different fanfics on TRsRockin, and I found a really interesting one called "The Secret of MissingNo.". Should there be an article about it? Mostly because it's on a notable site. Pokedex493 04:36, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

hi i'm new here and i can't edit my profile all it says is You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:
You do not have permission to edit pages in the User namespace. If you are a new user, you will need to edit existing articles before you can edit your userpage.
You can view and copy the source of this page got any what i should do? oh yea my profiles name is LUXRAYZ - unsigned comment from LUXRAYZ (talk • contribs)
- You should do what it says. You need to edit pages in the mainspace before you can edit your own userspace. The welcome left on your talk page and the userspace policy should help you understand this better if you are still confused. The reason you need to edit before you can edit your userspace is because Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a social networking site. --SnorlaxMonster 14:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Can I borrow some code from your userpage for my userpage? --Nathan2055talk 02:21, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- Sure. What specifically did you want to use? --SnorlaxMonster 03:24, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- Your main navigation box and your talk page "battle" box. --Nathan2055talk 03:36, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
- You can use the main navigation. As I said above, it's just a modification of the main pages header anyway. However, I'm quite attached to the battle box as I spent a long time making it and did it from scratch (the bar wasn't my idea, but the rest was). I hope you understand. --SnorlaxMonster 03:47, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

May I ask why you changed "Office Ladies" to "OL" in the Castelia City article? --Han Ji-Wan 15:15, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Teru-sama
Okey... I'll try... Crystal is already "screwed", probably 2nd most screwed Pokémon game I had (and the one I played longest, with awesome 2 weeks of play time), after Ruby... Just how to get Teru-sama? By cheats? Marked +-+-+ 22:09, 19 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Sorry for inactivity =P Didn't focused much on time on Pokémon games then =P
Dammit... I don't know why, but I got continously logged-out. That frustrates me D: Marked +-+-+ 22:54, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- You can just hack each index number, it doesn't really matter. But if you want to do it without cheating, you can use the Celebi egg glitch (I still have to get around to cleaning that page - it isn't helpful for getting anything other than Celebi at the moment). As for the logging out, are you actually logged out, or is it a session data loss error? There have been a lot of session data loss errors recently. --SnorlaxMonster 03:32, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
- Both. Either I just got randomly logged out when I edit pages or upload files (actually, for MoveGen template =P) or there is something about session loss data Marked +-+-+ 09:35, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
- Okey, done with index number. I checked one site with cheats to Crystal, and I checked every index number with Teru-sama as name of item appearing in mart (yeah, mart =P). They were correct. Marked +-+-+ 10:04, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Party Template Automatic Link
Hi. Once I was doing a fanmade party with the Party Template, but I noticed that the template automatically linked to unwritten pages. An example is the location, if you do a fanmade location, it urls you to an unwritten page and I already got warned because of that. Do you know how to stop the Template:Party to stop linking to unexistent pages? --MickBooterhood 16:47, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I do. You can link to any existing page you want (probably whatever page it is currently on), then add "|locationname=" for what you want to display as. If you don't understand, link me to the page in question and I'll change it, then you can see how to do it from the diff. --SnorlaxMonster 06:12, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Delete Page
Hello SnorlaxMonster. I have a little trouble; I don't know how to delete pages. Can you help me deleting this page? ~MickBooterhood 14:50, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Only admins and higher can delete. The quickest and easiest way to get something deleted is to stick a delete tag on it. If it's on a page that isn't in your userspace, make sure that you add it rather than replacing the page with it, and make it reason it needs deleting so that we know what it is and why it's tagged for deletion. Editing locked?
Hey there SnorlaxMaster, I only just noticed after making an edit that Bulbapedia has been locked and yet I can still edit pages, along with this I've had some changes to the normal interface and I have the option to rollback page edits and a few new categories have been added to my list of 'special pages' in the toolbox on the right. Have I broken something, cause I'm just a normal user aren't I? --Spriteit 11:45, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- Hi there. You've actually been temporarily promoted to Junior Admin powers to help with updating Bulbapedia to BW standard. So please try and help us update for Pokémon Black and White! --SnorlaxMonster 11:50, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ahhh, okay then, thank you, I've been without laptop for a month cause the fan died and, as such, I didn't know, I swear I checked the user logs though, oh well. Thanks much for clearing that up, given I've been away for basically the whole month then, where are people up to in regards to the B/W updating? --Spriteit 11:53, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- We've done most things already, but see Bulbapedia:BW to-do list for some ideas on where to help. We recently changed the way targets work on
MoveInfobox
for triple battles, and almost every move needs to be updated. Moves that can only hit a single adjacent Pokémon should now have target=anyadjacent rather than target=any, and moves which can hit both adjacent foes should be target=adjacentfoes. I think almost everything is relinked now. Alternately, you could help by removing unnecessary "image=" from Pokémon pages, which were added when they were moved. --SnorlaxMonster 12:00, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Berry Glitch
Could you check out my latest post to the berry glitch, I may have stumbled onto something here on another way to fix it. -Tyler53841 07:51, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- That might work. I'm not very experienced with this glitch, as I believe my Sapphire was one of the newer one which had the glitch removed. If you do have the Berry glitch, and this works as a workaround, then I guess you should add it to the article. --SnorlaxMonster 07:59, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- I don't have all the details but what I do is a. Saving and Soft reseting numerous times until the message goes away seems to work as b. It only holds for an unspecified amount of time before it does that again. My closest estimate is three days and after that the technique must be used. c. On one occasion while it was in effect it caused the berries to stay in buried form, but when my technique worked the berries where if full ripe mode. d. It does mess up the clock which can make it harder for time based events like Shoal Cave to be done right. Other than that I can't think of what to write, but this is all the information I gathered that I will pass off to you so you can also brainstorm a solution, since I am not sure if this is all the details. In fact I just had to use the technique again and believe me, I was less nervous compared to the first time I noticed this. -Tyler53841 08:07, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- Some more new information I have through my examination is that if the game is unattended for too long then the effects slip back in and the same procedure is required again since I suspect that the Internal batter is meant to hold clock and berry data for longer periods of time. In fact the more often the game is played and is done with larger periods of time makes it less likely for the glitch to occur. Also for the randomness in the clock, it always stops around a time when high tides are occuring in the Shoal Cave. Glad I spent more time investigating this, since it is my personal policy to try to gather all the information first to avoid making mistakes as easily. -Tyler53841 18:56, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

RE:Johto Guard glitch
The conversion list for index numbers 1-250 in G/S is hard-coded into the ROM and depends on the species. However, 251 (at least) turns back into an ordinary (non-glitch) R/B Pokémon in a way which doesn't seem to depend on the species (when I tried this with Celebi, it turned into a Nidoran♀. However, when somebody else tried this, Celebi turned into a Mankey.)
The list is already here on Bulbapedia (added by Koolboyman) on list of Pokémon by index number (Generation I). As you probably already know, trading Missingno. to Gold and Silver turns them into different Generation II Pokémon. Scizor for instance, turns into Missingno. index number 31 (hex 1F). A few days ago, I asked Koolboyman how exactly the game determines the conversion list and he told me to experiment with ROM offsets FBA26-FBB1F (he told me it is Gold/Silver's R/B to G/S conversion list). I haven't found out what happened with Celebi, but this is what comes up, at least. [1]
How to read the table from the ROM
(Extract of one of my posts from GCL's temporary forum [2]:)
R/B/Y -> G/S/C:
If you take the first value and call it hex:01 we get hex:70. In Generation I, since 01 is Rhydon, trading a Rhydon from R/B/Y will give you hex:70; the index number for Rhydon in Generation II. If you take the second value and call it 02 (Kangaskhan in Generation I) we get hex:73, the index number for Kangaskhan in Generation II.
G/S/C -> R/B/Y:
We can do the reverse, and search for the index number of the G/S/C Pokémon from the block data highlighted in the picture. From there we can count how late it appears in the block to deduce its R/B/Y index number."
This list apparently applies to all glitch Pokémon (except RB/Y:000) up to the (FA) [250]th index number. Trading a RB/Y: FA ('glitcherino'/ゥゥ♂), gives hex:D3 (211), Qwilfish, so (in theory), you would need to transfer a Qwilfish over from G/S/C to get 'glitcherino' or ゥゥ♂.
[I hope that helps, it doesn't look like there's any pattern in particular at all, except with 191-250]
--Chickasaurus 12:50, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. This glitch definitely deserves an article. I'll put writing it onto my to-do list, but it could take a while before I get to it, so it may be best if you write it. Then once it has a page, the glitch Pokémon articles are going to be swept over by a new method of obtaining them, as well as several 'new' glitch Pokémon (most will probably just be restored deleted articles). --SnorlaxMonster 13:44, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Embedding
Sorry about the problems I caused. If you find it with anything else you have embedded tell me and I can fix it.
Also, Torchickens (User:Chickasaurus) linked another video on the GCLF temp board (thread [3]). You might want to assess the quality to see if it is better than mine.
Thanks for your trouble. OwnageMuch 02:20, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, so that's the other one you were talking about. It's about the same quality. Anyway, I've been trying this whenever I come across Trainers who walk in circles (or Trainers like that Black Belt). I also found that the Harlequins that walk on the raised walkways on Unova Route 7 do not do this either. --SnorlaxMonster 04:30, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know the paths of the exact trainers you specify, but I have a suspicion the oversight could be specific to trainers that walk in an irregular shape (which is new to Gen V), rather than back and forwards or in a box shape (like trainers from the old versions do). Do you get what I mean? (and what is your opinion?) OwnageMuch 10:46, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Come to think of it, those people do all only walk in plain box shapes. I think the irregular box is likely the cause then. Have you found anyone other than the Black Belt and Youngster so far? --SnorlaxMonster 10:59, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't bothered to look :/ I thought over that theory before and it made enough sense though. OwnageMuch 06:42, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Permission to Upload
Hello there. Well, I've read that I need permission from an administrator to upload a new version of a file. Well, I've got this picture of a Deoxys in its Speed Form. And the current one that you have is all..well...saturated and stuff..So I pitched in and fixed the colors a little bit. So,.. may I? --Raquaza102 05:01, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- You mean this image right? I agree, it is pretty saturated. Did you edit it yourself to fix the colors, or get the image from an official source that was better? If the latter, go ahead an upload it. --SnorlaxMonster 05:06, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Well, yes, actually I fixed the colors myself and although I admit it doesn't match perfectly with the other one, at least it's better than leaving the saturated pic looking like that. Um, here's the problem: when I tried to upload it, well, it said that there was a file with the same name(which Im already aware of)and now it won't let me upload.Help? - unsigned comment from Raquaza102 (talk • contribs)
- Well, if you could upload it to an external source, I could try uploading it for you. I believe the reason you can't upload it is that you must first become autoconfirmed to upload over existing images. However, I have already uploaded another image that was less saturated that I found. Thanks for your efforts! --SnorlaxMonster 07:14, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Alright. I've uploaded the image here.I guess you'll take it from here then.. --Raquaza102 15:40, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Anyway, I think the newer version I uploaded looks even better than that one, so I won't upload over the top. Hopefully you will agree if you compare the two images. --SnorlaxMonster 15:43, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

The world of Pokemon is based on Japanese cultureという所で、AndyPKMNさんという人と話しています。
Sawamular101 03:08, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- You overestimate my Japanese abilities. Unfortunately, I cannot speak Japanese at that level, which is why my reply is in English. I believe that your main problem is miscommunication. From what I have read, it seems that you want to say that the whole Pokémon would is influenced by Japanese culture, and give a source for it. You mentioned that the original Japanese names are influenced by Japanese culture, and this seems to be what AndyPKMN was replying to. It seems that he was saying that each localisation puts its own culture into the names, and I would agree with him. As far as I can tell, he is saying that it is pointless to mention that in the Japanese games the names and currency are based on Japanese culture due to that being the case in the localisations as well, and that it can be easily assumed. What I don't understand is what you and AndyPKMN each want to happen to the article. --SnorlaxMonster 05:12, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for the answer. I do not intend to continue this discussion. I wish to express my gratitude for your opinion. Sawamular101 05:21, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
King's Rock flag defunct
Hey, thanks for making the BrightPowder flag --> Mirror Move flag change. I thought I should also mention that there's no King's Rock flag in the game anymore. Any damaging move can flinch with a King's Rock equipped. I just tested it out with Ice Beam, for instance. EDIT: Also, there should be a value of target called adjacentfoe, which Me First needs. --LastFootnote 15:22, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- I think I'll replace the King's Rock flag with a direct damage-dealing flag. Also, can you get me a complete list of moves affected by Shield Dust/Serene Grace/Sheer Force? I assume they use the same flag, and I would like to add one. --SnorlaxMonster 03:14, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- On second thoughts, they may be slightly different flags. Serene Grace wouldn't affect 100% probability moves like DynamicPunch, whereas Shield Dust and Sheer Force do; likewise, Sheer Force and Serene Grace would apply to moves that affect the user, like AncientPower, while I assume that Shield Dust would not. Then moves like Flame Charge that fit into both categories would only be boosted by Sheer Force (unless I'm wrong about Shield Dust). Anyway, if you can get me a list of moves affected by each of these, or know where I can find one, please let me know. --SnorlaxMonster 12:47, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Invisible "Lampent" Glitch
Einstein on HoO has a great theory on why this occured. It could be due to Pokémon getting EVs added on as they get them rather than on level up. Therefore a Pokémon which faints as it gains to a certain number of EVs would get 1HP back? OwnageMuch 22:58, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw that. I think it would be best to discuss it on HoO first, then when we come to a conclusion, add it. --SnorlaxMonster 05:00, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Assuming this works, I just tested the following:
- A level 100 Arceus holding a Life Orb with 1 HP left and 102/252 HP EVs uses Extremespeed, against Marshal's Throh with half of its HP left, defeating it.
- A level 100 Azumarill holding no item with 9 HP left with Pokérus and 100/252 HP EVs uses Double Edge to defeat the same Throh.
- The same level 100 Azumarill with 9 HP left uses Double Edge to defeat a wild Stunfisk
In all of these cases, the Pokémon fainted and did not receive its HP EVs and an extra hitpoint, even though it did when defeating the enemy Pokémon without sacrificing itself. I have yet to test whether the recoil damage has to equal the remaining HP exactly or not, or whether for some odd reason it's exclusive to another move like Take Down. I'm going to test the former. --Chickasaurus 20:32, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Wait a moment, you don't get the extra hitpoint until the end of the battle anyway, but maybe since you get the HP EVs this is more to do with say, defeating a Pokémon beforehand to get the HP EVs, then falling to 0 HP even though with respect to the new gained EVs you would have 1 HP left? --Chickasaurus 20:58, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Meloetta's Step Forme
On Meloetta's step form the sprite for the moves isn't working.
Since I'm obviously not explaining it well I'll give you an example. On the Psychic page and all other pages I've checked the sprite isn't working. I don't know what to do to fix it. BrokenMotor 18:17, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- Should be fixed now. It occurred because we had the file uploaded twice, and one was deleted, which happened to be the one that the template was using. --SnorlaxMonster 12:49, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Trains in Anville Town
In fact, they do change. I don't know the specifics on whether it follows a specific pattern or is random, but I have been meaning to write down the information on each train on a user subpage, to be integrated into the Anville Town article. I can get started on that if you like. --AndyPKMN (talk) 13:51, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm thinking that they may be based on the days of the week. Today is Saturday and it is a Multi Train (albeit only for 8 more minutes, so I'll update you then). However, it may be something else that changes them. --SnorlaxMonster 13:54, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- My theory seems to be correct so far. It's Sunday now and it is a Super Double train. --SnorlaxMonster 14:33, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- You seem to be right. It was a Multi Train for me as well (I'm in a different time zone, so Sunday isn't for another 13 hours for me). Do you still want me to record what he says about each train? --AndyPKMN (talk) 15:10, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- There are 11 trains, though. If you wany what they say about each train, Andy, I can provide all that. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 15:41, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- I also found that an old trolley car appears. Not sure when though. --Nathan2055talk 17:42, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- Luna, AndyPKMN is working on those here, and I assume he would appreciate it. I think at the very least we should list which trains there are on the article. And Nathan, I too remember coming across an old train car the first time I went to Anville Town. So if there are 11 trains that change with they day, they may just be rotating between them daily (especially since me and Andy had the same train on the same day). However, even then, it shouldn't be too hard to set up a rotating display using modulo 11 to find which train it is on each day. --SnorlaxMonster 07:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Unova etymology.
So I am a Latin student and seeing in the Unova page that it comes from novum, I came to tell you that latin words take different cases (like see and saw), and one of the case novum can take is nova, which is a nominitive or accusative plural adjective. Should I change anything about it, change Novum to Nova, or what? BrokenMotor 22:15, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know anything about latin, but if "nova" is a word in latin, I wold see that as much more likely than "novum". Go ahead and change it. In fact, you could probably remove the current "nova" it has there - an exploding star - since that really doesn't have anything to do with Unova. --SnorlaxMonster 07:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- I thought the star was named Nova because of the Latin word? felinoel 04:52, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Permission? :]
Hi! I vaguely remember asking you this, but I will ask you again. Would it be possible for me to use your format that you used for your page "Pokémon by release date (Generation V)"? The only difference is that I will include the 3rd generation and 4th generation. Do I have your permission to use your format that you created? Thank you! :] Han Ji-Wan 01:36, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, go ahead and use it. I'm glad somebody wants to do Generation III and IV. --SnorlaxMonster 11:27, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks man! Problem is.. I don't know how to create a page..? I need help. Thanks! Han Ji-Wan 01:54, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Just type the name of the page you want to create in the search box, then hit "Search" (case matters). A red link should appear at the top of the page (as long as a page doesn't already exist). See Bulbapedia:Starting an article for more help. To make a user subpage like mine, make sure you include "User:Han Ji-Wan/" before the rest of the page title (so "User:Han Ji-Wan/Pokémon by release date (Generation IV)" for example). --SnorlaxMonster 02:14, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! Han Ji-Wan 02:17, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- You did it wrong. You need to include the slash to make it a user subpage. You just created a userpage for a user that does not exist, known as "Han Ji-Wan by release date (Generation III)" --SnorlaxMonster 03:59, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Somehow, I forgot to do that. I did it right the first few times, but I kept messing up the title. So I redid it a couple of times and ended up doing the wrong link format. Thanks for letting me know. Han Ji-Wan 05:11, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

File name change
Well I recently uploaded a picture file called P_Tsprite.PNG, its a glitch pokemon called p T, and on the evolution part of its page its trying to pull up P_Tsprite.png but I guess because the capital PNG in the one I uploaded its not working, can you change the .PNG to .png? thanks --Rsrdaman 04:22, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Cheat only glitch pokemon, are they to stay?
Well i was recently talking to Werdnae and he deleted an article about a glitch pokemon called 94 that i made (94 gone?) and i asked him why and he said that any glitch Pokémon that you need to cheat to get are not notable. Can you help me with this issue? i know one Pokémon PC4SH has been in an article for 2 years, you can't catch it, and it's still there, help? --Rsrdaman 03:52, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
- It was once thought that it was possible to obtain it without cheating. --SnorlaxMonster 07:21, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
- I also wanted to tell you that there are some glitch Pokémon that were previously thought uncapturable because they send out a trainer. I had tested this a few times with the mew glitch and it turns out it can either send the trainer or the Pokémon, one example is 94, is there a way that i can read the deleted articles test them and make sure the're cheat only? if not just send me the names and hex values. thanks, --Rsrdaman 20:10, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
