A wing (Japanese: ハネfeather) is a type of item from the Pokémon games. They are used to boost the stats of a Trainer's Pokémon. Although they are feathers, they are called wings in English-language games, due to character limitations.
The first six wings can be considered a less powerful version of vitamins. Unlike vitamins, however, they are not subject to the 100 EV cap. Like vitamins, they are consumed after use. Each one gives a Pokémon one effort value (EV) in a particular stat.
There is a seventh wing, the Pretty Wing, which is similar in appearance and can be found in the same locations as the others; however, it serves no purpose other than to be sold.
