Effect

In all core series games apart from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pinap Berries cannot be used directly and only have a use as an ingredient, such as for Pokéblocks and Poffins.

In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, a Pinap Berry can be used from the Bag on a wild Pokémon to increase the chances of getting more item rewards for catching Pokémon. This consumes the Pinap Berry. If the wild Pokémon breaks out of a Poké Ball, the Berry's effect disappears. A wild Pokémon cannot eat a Berry while another Berry is still in effect.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it restores the Pokémon's HP by 1/3 of its maximum HP. A wild Pokémon that consumes a Pinap Berry will yield more Exp. Points when caught.

A Pinap Berry in Pokémon GO

The Pinap Berry was added to Pokémon GO on February 16, 2017. Using a Pinap Berry on a wild Pokémon will make it give twice as much Candy if it is caught. The Berry's effect lasts until the wild Pokémon breaks out of a thrown Poké Ball. Feeding a Pinap Berry to a Gym defender increases its motivation by the same amount as a Razz Berry does.
