Trivia

  • Ledian's poor movepool and bad stats make it one of the least used Pokémon in competitive battles

Origin

Ledian's appearance is that of a ladybird with its shell opened and wings outstretched, which links this Pokémon with Ledyba.

Name origin

Ledian's name is a misspelling of ladybird, also known as a ladybug. It also appears to incorporate alien into its name, owing to its head which appears similar to greys.

In other languages

  • German: Ledian
  • French: Coxyclaque - The French corruption means ladybird slap; the slap obviously referring to the Pokémon's punching-glove like fore and mid legs.
  • Korean: 레디안 Redian
