Drayton (Japanese: カキツバタ Kakitsubata) is a character introduced in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. He is a student attending Blueberry Academy, and a member of the BB League Elite Four.[2]
In the core series games
Drayton has a friendly and laid-back personality. Although Drayton appears unserious, he is really skilled in battling. However, he also skips class often, apparently having to repeat a year three times as a result.[2] Drayton comes from a prestigious family and is the grandson of Drayden, the Gym Leader of the Opelucid Gym in Unova. Through his grandfather, Drayton is acquainted with Hassel in Paldea's Elite Four.
Pokémon
First battle

Trivia
- The pattern on Drayton's waistcloth resembles the symbol icon that represents the Dragon type in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon HOME, and Pokémon GO.
- Drayden is the only member of the BB League Elite Four to have a full team of his speciality type, if counting Sceptile, as it could Mega Evolve into a Dragon type.
- Drayton's Elite Trial is the only Elite Trial that doesn’t require any BP as Drayton himself will pay for it instead.
- Despite being Drayden's grandson, Drayton's Elite Trial and battle shares similarities to Raihan's Gym Challenge and Gym battle in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
- For the challenge before the fight, the player faces three Trainers in a Double Battle who do not use the Gym's signature type.
- Both of their aces are part of the Duraludon evolutionary line.
- Both teams also feature the move Breaking Swipe prominently.
