Avalanche (Japanese: ゆきなだれ Snow Avalanche) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Avalanche deals damage and is a decreased priority move, causing the user to attack after other Pokémon that are using ordinary priority moves. If the user takes damage in the same turn, Avalanche's power is doubled to 120.

Trivia
- In the Spanish version of the games, Avalanche was translated as Alud, which is not incorrect. However, Alud refers more closely to a Rock Slide than to a Snow one. This was done likely due to the move Rock Slide being translated as Avalancha.
In other languages
- Spanish: Alud
- French: Avalanche
- Italian: Slavina
- German: Lawine
