Turffield (Japanese: ターフタウン Turf Town) is a small town located in central Galar. It is home to the Galar region's Grass-type Gym, Turffield Stadium. To the south is Route 4 and to the east is Route 5.

Slogan

Main article: Turffield Stadium

Turffield Stadium is Turffield's official Pokémon Gym, specializing in Grass-type Pokémon. Its Leader is Milo, who hands out the Grass Badge to those who defeat him. It is the first Gym that Gym Challengers have to face.

Turffield Geoglyph

On a hillside to the west of town is a massive geoglyph that depicts a gigantic Pokémon beneath a swirling cloud of darkness. It also depicts figures fleeing from the Pokémon. The geoglyph can be observed from a hilltop, where a Stonjourner face board can also be found and interacted with.

Turffield geoglyph in the anime

Turffield appeared in Sword and Shield: The Darkest Day!, where Goh and Sonia visited the town to see its famous geoglyph, theorizing what connection it could have to Dynamax and the Darkest Day. Afterwards, they headed to Wedgehurst together.

Turffield first appeared in Chomp!! Defeat Drednaw, where Milo was informed of the new Gym Challengers endorsed by Leon.

In Watch Out!! Strong Rivals, Professor Magnolia mentioned that she had been given permission to investigate the Turffield geoglyph, but as she was unable to arrange enough time to visit it, she asked Henry, Casey, and Sonia to investigate it in her stead.

In Blinding!! The End of the Battle, after Henry had beaten Milo, Sonia took him and Marvin to see the geoglyph.
