The Route 9 Tunnel (Japanese: ルートナイントンネル Route 9 Tunnel) is a location in Galar, connecting to Route 7 in the west and Route 9 in the east.
Geography
The Route 9 Tunnel is a straight tunnel with several people inside. At one point in the story, several people watch a Dynamax battle, only for it to be over when the player arrives.

Route 9 Tunnel first appeared in Chomp!! It's Dracovish. Following a news report of a Dynamax Dracovish rampaging in the tunnel, Henry, Casey, Marvin, and Professor Magnolia traveled there to investigate. Fearing people would suspect them of the incident because of their Dynamax simulator, Henry and Casey disguised themselves. At the tunnel, they found the Dracovish under attack by a group of Macro Cosmos employees, who had been sent to capture and dispose of it by Oleana. In order to save Dracovish, Marvin used his Drizzile's Tearful Look to distract the employees while he caught the Fossil Pokémon and the group made their escape.
The tunnel reappared in Grrr!! Noble Kidnappers, when Raihan and Piers heard commotion coming from its other side. While running through the tunnel, they found Leon, who told them that the Flying Taxi that Sonia had been riding to meet Henry and Casey on Route 9 had been attacked over Route 7. While Leon and Raihan took Sonia and the Taxi Driver to a hospital in Hammerlocke, Piers took the camera that Sonia had meant to deliver to Casey in order to deliver it himself.
