Overheat (Japanese: オーバーヒート Overheat) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

Overheat deals damage, and lowers the user's Special Attack by two stages afterward.

Rotom
The user glows red and then releases an extremely powerful blast of orange-yellow fire. As the attack is used successively, it becomes less powerful.
Pokémon Method
User First Used In Notes
Torkoal Torkoal opens its mouth and its mouth glows white. Then it fires a white flame that has a red-orange flame spirialing around it at the opponent. The blast is most powerful when first used, and becomes weaker when used repeatedly. Sometimes when using the attack, the red spots on its shell light up, or its whole body will turn bright red.
