Gym Badges

Does anyone have a picture of Ash's Sinnoh gym badges?

Ash's Gible...

Look, I tried to insert it in because it's fact that he's getting one. If it was just people talking on the forum, then I could let it stay off. However, we have had a Yahoo Japanese Shopping Catalogue AND Amazon.com explicitly refer to a Gible Toy that's being released as being "Ash's Gible". THAT'S why it needs to be in this article's trivia section, if anywhere. Don't believe me? Check these out:

Ok, so technically, number two was a forum post, but it supplied the translation of what #1 said. For number 3, here's the Japanese Text:

商品紹介 ポケモンがわざを繰り出す瞬間を立 化した『キメわざポケモンキッズ』D Pシリーズ第4弾。幻のポケモンの「ア ルセウス」「ジラーチ」を中心にル ー・サファイヤの初期ポケモンであ 「キモリ」「アチャモ」「ミズゴロ ウ」もラインナップ。さらにサトシ 新たなる仲間のポケモンとなる「フ マル」をラインナップしている。( 全15種類)

Also, Babelfish did a translation on the last portion of the sentence, and here's what it said:

"Furthermore it becomes [pokemon] of the companion where [satoshi] becomes new “[fukamaru]” is lined up. (All the 15 types)"

How do you know that the catalog didn't see the title of DP145 and automatically assumed Ash was going to capture Gible? I wouldn't be surprised. And these stupid websites take forever to update their information. --ケンジガール 19:53, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Simple, they said "by the end of the year". If they were referring to DP145, they wouldn't have said "by the end of the year" (By the end of the year implies that it would happen by the last week of December, not in the middle of September). Weedle Mchairybug 19:56, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
End of the year doesn't always mean the last week of December. Sometimes it can mean the beginning of Fall. The episode aired October 1st. They saw the air date and just said "the end of the year". And for all I know, it's not an accurate translation. It's best to keep this off the pages. --ケンジガール 20:01, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Weedle, we can't be 100% sure of anything. It's not fact, it's speculation. It might happen. It might not happen. Not to mention, even if it's true, it's a spoiler. --electAbuzzzz 20:10, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Regarding the section about Ash as a character

Much of it is convoluted and poorly constructed. The problem appears to be that new contributions are not seamlessly integrated with those already in place, resulting in a lack of observable rhyme or reason. This hinders the flow of the writing, making the entire segment sub-par.

Bulbapedia has standards for a reason, and it is to avoid something like this happening as the result of numerous individuals contributing to one article. As it stands, I feel the entire section should be cleaned up and revised. Vipera 21:16, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

I Agree. - Vhayes1992 22:34, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Go on then. Show us what you're made of ;) —darklordtrom 05:34, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Forgive me if I misinterpreted the tone of your comment, but I read it as being awfully snide.
I've already done some minor stylistic and grammatical revision to the section in question and plan to overhaul it using the information already present, but that's about all I can do. I'm not as knowledgeable about Ash as most others here since I'm only up to EP224 and therefore hesitant to make contributions in the form of information - I would likely be mistaken on many subjects since my anime experience is incomplete at best and woefully lacking at the very worst.
The appeal of a wiki lies in the fact that multiple users can contribute to a single article in numerous ways, as each brings to the table different skill sets and areas of expertise. That is why I've called attention to this issue. I can't make the necessary improvements alone. Vipera 06:27, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Uh, sorry. I didn't mean it like that and I don't consider myself to be a "snide" person. I was merely trying to encourage you to be bold and take on the section. I know less about the anime than you do, otherwise I'd offer help as well. One of the things I enjoy about a wiki is going out and editing something, and watching how others adapt and improve my own work. —darklordtrom 08:36, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Telepathic side of Aura and Pikachu

I was thinking, is it possible that Ash was using Latent Aura powers to understand Pikachu? I know it wasn't invented till gen 4, but it's something to mention as a possibility. --Jono R 22:50, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Thats speculation, probabaly not true SpecialK Leiks Lucario and believe in Missingno. Master's Celebi Glitch because i caught one! 15:55, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Azelf

I think Azelf should be added, because not only was it legendary. But also because Ash commanded it and he actually had a telepathic bond to it. Aside from Riolu how often does that happen? --Dman dustin 22:59, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Didn't do it for Riolu, why do it for Azelf? --ケンジガール 23:01, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm going to say that it's because Azelf had more of a story than Riolu. This whole Pixie storyline began with Dawn and Mesprit. Which culminated to DP151 and DP152. Where we have Ash, Brock, and Dawn being telepathically connected to the pixies. Ash, Brock, and Dawn could feel when something bad happened to them. And when the pixies were in real trouble, the human trio teleported to them from Cynthia's Jeep right in the middle of Team Galactic's headquarters. Then when Ash, Brock, and Dawn saved them from the red crystal/chain the pixies allowed them to order them commands. Besides how are Raichu, Spoink, and Mantyke more notable? Raichu only got an episode while Spoink and Mantyke got very little screen time. How they are more notable then Riolu or Azelf is beyond me. --Dman dustin 02:25, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
My two cents: I think Ash's connection with Azelf is totally important, and I was very nearly about to side with you, but after thinking about it I figured that if Azelf were to be added, it would have to be in a "befriended" section. And if we gave Ash a "befriended" section, then we'd have to list ALL the Pokemon he befriended, and I think that alone could very well crash the server. (An exaggeration, but you get the point.) But their connection should still be mentioned - and I think it's possibly even important enough to be given its own paragraph in the "character" section, instead of just being added on to the paragraph about his connection with legendary Pokemon. I say this because there was buildup to this over the course of DP, and is thus monumental enough to have quite a bit said about it. The same goes for Dawn and Brock, and their respective pixies. 梅子 02:47, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Ash's current German VA, Veronika Neugebauer, apparently died in 11th October Link. Think it should be mentioned somewhere? J-J-M 00:22, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Ash's befriended pokemon

someone that knows more about editing the pages should put a full list of all legendary pokemon ash has encountered and befriended - unsigned comment from Refresh12 (talkcontribs)

Bulbapedia does not list the vast number of Pokémon Ash has befriended simply because there are so many. The only main character who gets a "befriended" section is Max on account of him having no Poké Balls. —darklordtrom 02:54, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Hoenn Lineup Trivia

Should it be noted that each of the Pokémon Ash caught in Hoenn was weak to the type of the Pokémon that was placed on his Hoenn line up before it? If that didn't make sense, here is a bit better/ easier way of explaining it: Pikachu/Electric > Tailow/Flying > Treecko/Grass > Corphish/Water > Torkoal/Fire > Snorunt/Ice. If its notable enough, then could an administrator add it?--Skystar 20:30, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

He did this in every region, if I remember correctly.--WikiTomas 09:38, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Not Sinnoh. Ground/Flying isn't super effective against Ground/Dragon. In Kanto, he caught Muk then Tauros. In Johto he caught Totodile then Noctowl, and Water isn't strong against Flying/Normal. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:10, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Legendary Friends

I couldn't find any edit button on Ash's page and I couldn't figure out how to contact the mods of this site, so I brought my question here; please let me know if this is not the place or if this is not how to get information.

I was reading Ash's page when I came suddenly to Ash's Legendary friends, it claims he has a close connection with Ho-Oh, Lugia, Latias, Azelf, Shaymin and Giratina. Where is Mewtwo? The two had a rough start but Ash also has a close connection to Mewtwo. Afterall, It was Ash who softened Mewtwo in the first movie and in the Pokemon Special: Mewtwo's Return, Mewtwo calls Ash and "Unique human, one of a kind." and they part by saying how they'll always remember each other. Mewtwo is also able to contact Ash even over long distances. I think Mewtwo should be added to that list of Ash's legendary friends. - unsigned comment from Artbender (talkcontribs)

Ash's page is currently protected due to upcoming anime things. Mewtwo's kinda... I dunno. I suppose you could say that he and Ash have a friendship, but as for any ability to contact Ash? Um. Wha? TTEchidna 10:34, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
I think he's talking about when Ash heard Mewtwo's voice at the end of Mewtwo Returns. Mewtwo may have just been hiding in the city somewhere, so who knows exactly how far away they were, but I recall reading somewhere on Bulbapedia that the city they then show Mewtwo watching over/hiding in resembles New York City, so it could be assumed that he was far away. But even if that part is left out, I'd definitely include Mewtwo as one of Ash's legendary friends. --Jared 22:35, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you, Jared! that's exactly what I ment. - unsigned comment from Artbender (talkcontribs) Mewtwo is not one of Ash's Legendary friends. At the end of movie 1, Mewtwo erases everyones memory, including Ash's. Ash does not remember Mewtwo, and Mewtwo does not use his telepathy to contact Ash at all... and that includes Mewtwo Returns. Pokemon26 13:30, 19 July 2010

Yes he does. They become friends by the ends of Mewtwo Returns, and by what Ash says; "This time, we'll both remember." It suggests that Mewtwo gave Ash's memories of their first meeting back. Artbender 04:55, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

about gym battles

it is revealed that sunyshore gym battle will be in DP164 so please it is not 35 it is 37 episodes--Branfili 17:55, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

It is revealed that Volkner will appear in DP165, but there is nothing confirming a gym battle, or badge acquisition. I guess the episode count should be changed at this point though - apparently it's said "35 episodes" for about three weeks now. 梅子 19:04, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

The Gym battle (first time) is in DP 166. Sunyshore Gym will shut down because of a power outage during the battle. Volkner will ask Ash to come back when it is repaired. Ash says that he will use the time for more training. Ash comes back to Sunyshore in DP 179, where he has his battle and wins. That should be where the badge acquisition is. pokemon26 13:24, 19 july 2010 Pokemon26 13:25, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Identifying Genders

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to identify a Pokémon's gender (when confirmed) for a main character in the new link boxes. For example:

Ash Pikachu.png
Pikachu
Ash Buizel.png
Buizel
Ash Gible.png
Gible
Ash Bulbasaur.png
Bulbasaur
Ash Bayleef.png
Chikorita → Bayleef

Aipom

Just this is the way it's displayed for the manga characters, so we might as well implement it for the anime characters as well. What does everyone think? Watchermark 12:56, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

The problem is that most Pokémon in the anime don't have confirmed genders. Only.... 25% maybe. Give or take a few. And are you asking that we use the link boxes for only the ones that have been confirmed? Or use it for all, but keep the genders off? R.A. Hunter Blade 13:30, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Keep the link boxes for all, but keep the genders off the ones that aren't confirmed. Ash's party would look like:
Ash Pikachu.png
Pikachu
Ash Staraptor.png
Starly → Staravia → Staraptor
Ash Grotle.png
Turtwig → Grotle
Ash Monferno.png
Chimchar → Monferno

Obsolete trivia

Could someone remove this?

The three Fire-type starter Pokémon Ash owns are each at a different evolutionary stage. Cyndaquil is in its first, Monferno its second, and Charizard its third.

Monferno evolved in the latest episode, so it's no longer true. Also, if that was worthy of being mentioned, then perhaps it should be mentioned that Kingler is the only water-type Pokémon he's evolved so far. --ルレ 08:41, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

This is Obsolete and should be removed. I'm surprise no one tried to make a similar trivia saying that, "out of all the grass types he has"
It should at least be changed to something more trivial and up to date. Like how Ash has never evolved a Water-type Starter to its final form, but has evolved one grass type and two fire types.
Please will a mod remove the thing, or re-enable the edit feature. why is the edit feature even disabled? it makes it a hassle to do much of anything in terms of doing our jobs as editors and collaborators. Yami 01:52, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Hair color

Don't know if it was mentioned before, but anyone noticed Ash's hair has a greenish shade to it? It isn't just pure black so I think it should be put up in the infobox. J-J-M 14:31, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Really? I think its black (as usual). --♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 14:46, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Well I don't know about movie 11 but I noticed this thing in one scene from movie 12 (when Ash & co found some water melons in the water) ash's hairs were a bit green(ish) but it can be a wet animation effect too. What do you think? --♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 15:24, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

About the supposed "different" hair colors? J-J-M 15:58, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Oh my god, and we were joking just a few days ago that someone would try disputing Ash's hair color next...
It's black. It is staying as black in the infobox. Some hints of dark green/blue? Sure, maybe, but it's not worth mentioning. 梅子 19:27, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Can't believe that actually happened either..... but anyways. If you didn't notice, his hair only has a greenish tint when it's wet. That's normal for an anime to have a tint on wet hair, though it depends on the original color. R.A. Hunter Blade 22:27, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Fine, but I guess it could go on trivia? J-J-M 11:14, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
No, because it is common for wet hair to be tinted a different colour. That's how they show it's wet. —darklordtrom 11:15, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
That sort of color "change" has never been shown for other characters before, especially in this show, so it is kinda notable. J-J-M 11:59, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Satoshi's Pokemon on Pokeani

I've been going through and fixing broken Pokeani links, and I noticed that Ash doesn't have a link to his Pokeani list of Pokemon - and it seems he's the only main character who doesn't have such a link on his page. I'm assuming it's because his list of Pokemon is broken into two different pages (being such a massive list and all), but it kind of seems ridiculous that ASH "JESUS H. CHRIST" KETCHUM is the only one deprived of those links.

What do you guys think? Should they be added to the "external links" section (listed as "part one" and "part two" or something along those lines)?? 梅子 15:58, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Ash was known as Casey during production of the dub?

I was watching Adventures in Voice Acting, and it featured Veronica Taylor and she said that his name was known as Casey.

Here's a clip, it's youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfQfgd1wAB4

Go to the 2:46 mark. Worth mentioning? I did not want to put it in till we got the ok to do it.--Midnight Blue 22:31, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

We should mention it. Just mention that she is not saying this on behalf of 4kids. The possibility that she is mistaken herself and that 4Kids might of had some other name for Ash. - Vhayes1992 18:50, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
I put it in. I wonder if this was just a place holder, or this was going to be his real name. Casey means vigilant in some cultures, which means to watch out for danger, which makes sense as that's is one of the things he does in the series. This also makes me think that there might not have been a last name too.--Midnight Blue 21:21, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Pokémon On Hand Box?

Hello I am a long time fan of Bulbapedia, brand new editor. I noticed something weird on Ash's page. In the page itself, in the section on what Pokémon Ash has On Hand, it has the Pokémon for next week's episode (Noctowl, Donphan and Gible), when he battles Conway. However, in the little box that is on the bottom of the page that is supposed to show the same thing, it has his Pokemon from last week's episode, when he battled Nando (Heracross, Quilava and Staraptor). It is likewise on all of the pages that link to Ash's page (i.e. on all of the pages of his Pokémon). Can someone fix this? I would do it myself, but like I said, I am brand new to editing and I don't know how.

Ash's On Hand Pokemon

I'm just thinking not to bother having an on hand section for Ash's Pokemon because it keeps changing. I think you should just have like maybe Ash's Pokemon but not write on hand or at Professor Oak's Lab. lilkaykaygal , 12:10, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Nah, that will be confusing enough. The current pattern is perfect. The reason it keeps changing is because of on-going sinnoh league. Once it is over, it will be back to normal. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 12:15, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Staraptor is Missing

While this may already be fixed or is being fixed, I should point out that Staraptor is missing from Ash's Pokemon Party Sprite Template. You know the template that appears when you have Ash's Buizel open and it shows Ash's other Pokemon. it goes Glalie, Torterra, Infernape, and Buizel, but Staraptor is missing. In case this is already known, I apologize, I just wanted to let you know, just in case. --Dman dustin 04:16, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Fixed. Werdnae (talk) 04:34, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Casey's Beedril

Perhaps move this to temporary Pokemon? It was so minuscule and was for a contest, like Seaking. Having it listed on the template looks a little cluttered.--Cubic Question 05:32, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

There is one thing that distinguishes Beedrill from Seaking: Ash was actually allowed to keep the Beedrill as per the rules of the contest, whereas he couldn't keep Seaking. As such, Ash did officially own Beedrill, even if it was for about two minutes before he gave it away. --Shiningpikablu252 16:07, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Ash's on hand pokemon

Could you change Ash's on hand pokemon to his original sinnoh team? Pikachu, Torterra, Staraptor, Buizel, Infernape and Gliscor... Since DP 186 has aired and its confirmed on DP 187 preview...? Chomi 17:40, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Isshu Clothing

Should we put ash in his isshu clothing as the main picture in the infobox? --Daniel1993 18:43, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

I don't think we should yet, I'd wait till Diamond and Pearl is over and BW001 has aired. --PickyChimchar 18:53, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

No, Diamond and Pearl is still airing, Best Wishes is not. --HoennMaster 18:58, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Challenges

Is it worthwhile pointing out that, out of Ash's full batles, the only ones he has lost and his opponent has more than one pokémon remaining he only managed to defeat 2 pokémon of his opponent. Being these his first full batle against Paul and his league batle against Takuto Luord 01:43, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Isshu Clothing based on black outfit

can we add in the trivia that ash isshu clothing is based on black ( male character ) because they have the same pants and the same baskets , even his hat is based on black's one the only change is color . - unsigned comment from Amine (talkcontribs)

Also, in the beta concept-arts, his clothing was actually the exact same as Black's, just with shorter sleeves! --Mattii 20:35, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Eyes

Has anyone but me noticed that Ash's eyes are more brown? I think that represents Sugimori's art change I mean think about, if you look at lucas and dawn's platnum art, Gold and soul's art, and black and white's art, the eyes are a lot bigger compared to red and leaf's art, brendan and may's art, and lucas and dawn's D/P art.- unsigned comment from Cyndaquil155 (talkcontribs)

that's speculation Ataro 23:19, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

How is that speculation? Isn't it a fact that his eyes is brown?--Mattii 20:37, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Mijumaru

In the new Best Wishes! preview, for a split second you can see Ash behind Mijumaru in a battle with Dento's Yanappu. I'm guessing that means that's the one he starts with. Should it be added or wait for the episodes to air? Jo The Marten 19:37, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Well, as always, we should wait until it's confirmed before adding it.--Cold (talk) 19:38, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

What is the deal?

Hey, I was just wondering, out of sheer curiosity, why is Ash's page still protected? I mean, the Suzuran Conference is over now, I really don't see a need for it to be protected anymore. Can an admin un-protect it please, or at least provide an explanation as to why it is still being protected? Also, the Pokémon On-Hand section needs to be updated to reflect yesterday's Japanese episode. Can an admin do that too, or... Thanks a bunch in advance.

--JediKnightDTV 18:16, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Two words: Best Wishes. And admins, remove Raichu's gender.--でんのう Zえんし 18:33, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

and another word "mijumaru", and raichu's Gender should stay the same. Ataro 18:35, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

I agree that tail confirms gender, but ArcToraphim reverted my edit on Sho: [2]--でんのう Zえんし 19:01, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
We don't add genders for pre-Gen IV Pokémon unless A)It was confirmed by Trainer/Attract or B)The Pokémon bears the gender difference that wasn't the norm in Gen I-III, example: May's Venusaur. --ケンジガール 23:24, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Can someone change Ash's team to just Pikachu?

Hi. I wanted to know why Ash's team is not reduced to just Pikachu. After all, his team is probably not going with him to Isshu (except Pikachu). can I change it, or should I wait?--Pokemon26 00:06, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

As usual, second option will be a better choice ya know. We all should wait for the episode to air then we can do something about it. Thank you. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 00:09, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
The Pokémon listing is as of the current episode in Japan and right now he still has his Sinnoh team. If he drops them off at Oak's on Thursday, the list will change then. If his team isn't confirmed to be just Pikachu until the start of BW, the list will change on the 23rd. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 01:06, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
I agree with FabuVinny. Ash's team needs to get changed back to his Sinnoh Team, at least until Thursday, if/when he Oak's them. It should have been changed before now, but the page has been locked, and the admins have been too busy with other stuff to do it, which is understandable, with the imminent release of B&W, and Best Wishes. If an admin reads this, could you please take care of it? I know that the page cannot get unlocked because of the above reasons (imminent release of B&W, and Best Wishes, etc.), but I think everyone would appreciate it if his team could be updated, at least to Infernape and Buizel (confirmed from DP 190), if not the whole Sinnoh Team.--JediKnightDTV 05:00, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

This is getting ridiculous...

Okay this is addressed to any admin that reads this. Today, in DP 191, the DP series finale, is the second episode in a row where Ash has been shown to NOT have the Pokemon that he used in his battle with Takuto in DP 189. He has with him his Sinnoh Team, consisting of (at least) Infernape and Buizel (confirmed in last weeks episode, DP 190), Staraptor and Torterra (confirmed in this weeks episode), in addition to Pikachu. I understand that the article cannot be unprotected due to the imminent release of B&W and Best Wishes, but can some admin PLEASE change the Pokemon in his on hand section? At least until the first episode of Best Wishes airs and he Oaks them (which he will inevitably do) and heads off to Isshu with just Pikachu. Thank you very much in advance.--JediKnightDTV 15:53, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

I just realized...what are we going to do about Gliscor? I mean...unlike all the other in training pokemon..it was never mentioned if it went back or stayed with ash (and you know what usually happens) should it be put as Status unknown? Ataro 16:00, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea, but we'll leave it alone for now. Ironic how the template for Ash's Pokémon has been right, even now, while the article's wrong... ht14 16:14, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, the question about Gliscor's current location is what I want to know the answer to. I would've thought it stays with Ash in the end, but can't make statements that aren't so true without confirmation. Which gets me thinking if Gible is still in the party with the other 4 and Pikachu. But meanwhile, I agree, the On Hand/Party ought to be updated, even though the DP series is over. --The1stpkmnfan 03:16, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
In DP190, Infernape and Buizel appeared, and in DP191, Torterra appeared. So, Ash's current party is Pikachu, Inferape, Buizel and Torterra. --Caciulacdlac 15:51, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
that's not how it works when the series ends...Ataro 16:00, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Changed his party to what is known. I hope it relieves your concerns. Let me know if there is anything I can do. --ケンジガール 05:23, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Tsutaja and Pokabu???

Shouldn't Ash's page be protected since theres a pretty good chance that ash is gonna capture pokabu and tsutaja???RBK

Why would something be protected for that reason? I haven't seen anyone lined up to add that there's a "pretty good chance" that Ash will catch the other two starters, not least because for the past two regions he's only gotten one or two of them. --AndyPKMN 21:44, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Water Starters

One of the trivia points says that neither of ash's water starters have evolved or shown that they want to. Shouldn't this be changed to include Mijumaru since he has more then 2 now?? I tried to change it but someone keeps changing it back.RBK 23:11, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

He's had Mijumaru for like, one episode. It doesn't really count. Maybe that trivia can be hidden for a while?--Pokélova! 00:04, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
In fact none of Ash's Water types have evolved (excluding the un-evolvable Lapras) so it should definitely remain hidden until it is very certain this trivia piece is needed. -Tyler53841 00:08, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
what Pokelova said (thank god someone else understands) and tyler? you're forgetting Krabby who evolved into Kingler Ataro 00:11, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Ok I get that hes only had it for a short amount of time but it doesn't change the fact that he has more then two water starters now so it should be changed to include Mijumaru if and until it evolves or tries to evolve.RBK 01:18, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Physical Atributes

In the article it says that Ash's eyes are the only physical thing to change, this is wrong! His hair colour has also had a small change from jet black to greenish black. I just watched Giratina and the Sky Warrior after watching a few episodes of the first season, and I noticed the change. Could someone update this please? Will94 09:57, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

You do realize that his hair was only temporarily green in that movie (It was wet). Please check the "Hair color" section (just scroll up) or click here. 神奇超龍 11:57, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Ash's hair has been green since early Johto. It's actually almost never 'true' black. It's the same with Tracey who only had green hair in his official artwork until he reappeared later and his hair was no longer black. Ash's hair isn't "greener" when wet, it's always the same green. It's just slightly more noticeable when he takes his hat off. Ash's hair is just as green as Iris' hair is purple. (It's meant to be a more cartoonish black. That doesn't change the fact Iris has purple hair, nor the fact that Ash has green hair.) Hiidora 011:25, 16th December 2010 (GMT)

Water-types

Can it be mentioned that out of all his Pokemon he legit owns, he's had more water types than any other type? I thought it was interesting.... Rucario64 23:06, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

That's probably because there is more Water-types than any other types.--Pokélova! 01:40, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
I just did a tally and actually, he's owned more Flying-types and even more Normal-types. Assuming that "unofficial" and "temporary" Pokémon don't count, of course. Even if you do, I think he's still had more Normal-types. If this kind of thing is notable, it should be accurate at least. -- Nebula 16:08, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Favourite colour

Since when is his favourite colour dark green (according to trivia)?? --ZestyCactus 03:03, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Border

I understand why Ash would have those colours in his border, but it just looks awful. I know he is based off of Red, but I think the border should just be yellow, or have Normal or Flying colours around the yellow due to the amount of Normal types and Flying types, because Yellow & Red are polar opposites of complimentary colours. MAMOSWINEPwnz! (TaleOfTheToaster) 18:06, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Part

Why it won't create a part for Ash's Pokémons that can be called upon (Ash's Charizard and Ash's Squirlte), and why we don't put Ash's Primeape in the part "Released". All other Ash's Pokémons that either those of the laboratory of Professor Oak or those released are in training, all pokémons when they have the occasion to train, they do it, it's logic. For exemple, ash's Quilava: it learned a new move in the laboratory of Professor Oak meaning that it trains there. Blacky 18:53, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Ash's party form Unova

I uploaded a combined screenshot from BW017 with Ash's six Pokémon in Unova. Someone replaced the picture with a smaller and badly combined one, possibly from Filb.de. Then the picture was removed from the article by HoennMaster. I already reverted it to my version. Can I put it back, HoennMaster? It took me 40 minutes to combine it, with the sources I had in hand. This is why I think Ash's team and the Pokémon at Juniper's should be merged. It's likely to change every time he goes to a Pokémon center meaning this debate will never end until the league where we'll just use his league teams. Ash could send out four Pokémon with another Pokémon appearing in the next episode preview but then when that next episode airs Ash uses this Pokémon and one that wasn't one of the four he sent out the previous episode.--Gaiash 23:08, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
This was definitely changed too early. Those changes are for BW020, we haven't even aired BW019 yet. I too agree they should be merged for now since we do not know how often Ash will change his team. Ash's template has even been changed like that. Anyway, this needs to be changed back since it's not confirmed that Pidove is at Juniper's lab just yet. Who's to say Sewaddle doesn't get sent to her in BW019? --HoennMaster 00:00, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

So after twelve years of not switching his Pokemon regularly Ash is suddenly going to switch every few episodes we all know that's not likely HM
