Psychic (Japanese: サイコキネシス Psychokinesis) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I. It is TM29 in every generation so far.
Effect
Generation I
Psychic does damage and has a 30% chance of lowering the target's Special by one stage.
Generation II and on
Same as Generation I, but with a 10% chance of lowering Special Defense.

Trivia
- Psychic is the only move that shares exactly the same name as its type. If affixes were disregarded, then Fly would share the same name as its type. This is not present in the Japanese version of the games, where Esper is the type and Psychokinesis is the move.
- So far, only Psyduck is able to learn Psychic via breeding.
