Trivia
- Many Template:Type2 Pokémon can learn Heat Wave by Platinum move tutor, due to Heat Wave's Japanese name being Hot Wind.
- With the exception of Mew, Arceus (without either a Flame Plate or a Sky Plate), and Smeargle, Vibrava and Flygon are the only Pokémon who can learn this move by tutoring that are neither Flying- nor Fire-type.
- Heat Wave shares the same move animation as Ominous Wind, the only difference is the color;Heat Wave is red, while Ominous Wind is purple.
